Nola - Palo Alto
The party stretches out over three floors, with seven different funky dining areas. Nola has one of the largest collections of Southern folk art on the West Coast. Come check out what Fortune magazine voted as "the hottest bar in the Silicon Valley." Welcome to the party--grab a Hurricane, a group of friends, wrap yourself in our mardi gras beads and “Laisser les Bon Temps Rouler!!”

The chicken wings and potstickers were amazing, the drinks were really good (even the non alcoholic for the kids!) and the meal delicious! Loved the atmosphere and look forward to going back soon!
Fun place! Love the buildings. The food was delicious -- wonderful small plates and salads. Must try the crabamole and the crabby garlic bread. Casual setting with lots of color and atmosphere. Service was great. It was my birthday and they brought me a dessert on the house - bread pudding (yum!). Thankfully they did not sing :) Would definitely go again.
The Restaurant was closed After making a reservation and taking an uber over there. SOME water issue. I was quite disappointed as they restaurant didn't update Open table.
Great space for a group outing
Our waitress was amazing and she made sure to keep all of our drinks coming 🙂 however the quality of food is not what I remembered! Almost every single item was cold and super salty!
1. Chicken sliders were so dry the chicken pieces were like rocks.
2. Shrimp and crawfish potstickers were so fishy and salty.
3. The bbq ribs were full of fat.
4. The Mac and cheese was so so cold the cheese hardened over.
5. The basket of fries super salty and cold and the side dip was spilt over.
6. The chicken and waffle entree were terrible, waffle looked like it was frozen and then microwaved.
I would not recommend eating here, just come for drinks and good music!
Great place for a quiet date night. Food is consistently strong, along with the service staff.
Fun time with great good. Our room upstairs was quite enough to talk with our guests.
Excellent food and service.
I really love this place. I love the food. It is always fresh, hot and delicious. Our server was great as well.
Attentive service, good brunch food. Dungeness crab hash was terrific. Street parking tough but free nearby garage/public parking. We were celebrating a birthday and they had personalized menus printed plus a bday dessert on the house. Would like to return for dinner next.
Great place good food we enjoyed our experience parking is a bit of an issue accessibility caution required when going up and down stairs to the second floor
We have dined here regularly for the last ten years. The food is dependably good. I am glad to see that they have added a vegetarian and a vegan option to the menu.
Food was great. Service was great. Definitely a place to check out
Love NOLA. Never disappointed. Good food , outstanding service, fun atmosphere
The vibe and ambiance was very nice. The service was a bit slow at first but it was more of the kitchen’s fault. The food was amazing. Made per specifications, came as advertised and delicious to the last bite.
Loved the food, and loved the great service. We had a large party and they were able to accommodate food allergies as well.
A busy Friday night and the server was overtaxed, or she was failed by the bartender, as drinks arrived very late and attention to our table was infrequent. The flank steak was perfect. The crawdads were difficult and messy, virtually meatless, and bland. Best experience was the pre-dinner session in the bar, where service was excellent and the oysters arrived extremely late. In all, the wait staff had to apologize several times because of the lack of support by the kitchen.
Enjoyed all of our food today. Sat in the courtyard by the fountain!
Great food and friendly service, but way too loud. Definitely go for the garlic bread, when you're there!
Our server was great, all the meals came out in good time and were all delicious. Would come here again, thank you!
The ambience is very friendly but the music is too loud and distracts from the football games.
good. a little crazy. our server was in and out. but food/drinks always good
Great atmosphere, drinks and food. The maple old fashioned was awesome.
Incredible overall! The host at front desk could be a lot more attentive and move a little quicker - particularly when someone has a confirmed reservation. Food and ambiance are amazing. Servers also could check in a little more and be more attentive.
Great service and tasty food. Loud but warm atmosphere
Another wonderful meal at NOLA. Went on a weekend so was able to finally try their crawfish and shrimp boil. If you like crawfish, you’ll appreciate the flavoring and amount of crawfish. If you like shrimp, there were only 4 in the whole dish. Mac n Cheese was super cheesy and the Crabamole continues to be a must at our table! Our waitress was on top of her game and overall a wonderful experience!
I love NOLA and recommend it highly for New Orleans food lovers in the Palo Alto area but do not go very often and it seems like every time there is a small change, usually not for the better, usually in the beignets or desserts.
We were seated on the patio toward the back and it honestly smelled like a trash dumpster.
Good energy, great food, cocktails and service. Recommend for business conversations.
We did a work get together to celebrate all our September birthdays and one special 21st birthday. The food was amazing as always and the service was exceptional! I loved how the menu even said Happy 21st Birthday on it!! It made the meal so special and a great binding experience!
Great experience all around
Just OK quality food.
The food was tasty but the portions are now half the size and twice as much. I know Palo Alto rent is expensive but they have a ton of people eating there. They make enough to cover the rent. They don't have to charge $40 for a cup of jambalaya. It was good but not worth the cost.
Celebrating our anniversary we had an amazing evening! Our server Sergio was outstanding! Everything he recommended was excellent! We started with the tomato and buratta appetizer. My husband had the cluck & oink...love it! I had the beef tacos & jambalaya. The only thing marginal was the corn bread, a little dry. Bananas Foster crumble was spectacular! Great service, outstanding food=Wonderful evening! Cheers to 38 more happy years!
Great food but the server was barely attentive. Never checked on us after the food came and forgot the appetizer u til after our entree arrived. No apology, nothing. The only time he came after taking our order was well after we finished and waited quite some time. It if wasn’t for the food, I wouldn’t come back here.
Had many great meals here, but this was very disappointing. Slow service, very small oyster servings, with nothing more than the bacon filling, no refills on waters or ice tea.
Service a little slow due to a very large party seated next to us.
Great ambience & food, though a bit pricey. Also, need to clean or remodel the restrooms plus add a purse hanger.
Let me start by saying our menus literally said Happy Anniversary. Everyone from the host to the waiters were so nice! Food was AMAZING!
