   We made a reservation through OpenTable. This reservation was confirmed. When we got to the restaurant, it was closed for summer vacation. Obviously the owner didn’t bother to notify open table so we had a reservation with no place to go. Very disappointing as I think that this is probably a very good restaurant.

   This was incredible! I booked a table for 9 people, I have received the confirmation, I received reminders for the reservation and when we’ve arrived at the restaurant, IT WAS CLOSED UNTIL AUTUMN!!! You can imagine that is not easy to find a table for 9 without reservation, not to mention the hassle to move around 9 people for a place! I am wondering how can Open Table allow such things to happen, as I thought I can trust a restaurant which is found on Open Table! I don’t think I’ll use Open Table again …

   Restaurant was closed even though our reservation was accepted online. That was a business dinner with 8 guests. That put me in a difficult situation when we all arrived at the restaurant. Normally that is a restaurant that I really like. I think it was forgotten to close this web app when the restaurant was totally closed (I heard until November)

   Great place, friendly people, excellent service food and drinks. The pasta was better than any offered by local Italian places.

   Enjoyed my husband bday dinner here while on vacation. If we ever come back for vacation this place is a must. Beautiful views and food was incredible.

   Nola is a hidden gem in the Simpson Bay area of Dutch St. Maarten. Nestled in the Simpson Bay Yacht Club plaza it's unassuming entrance gives no clue of what lies ahead. The dining room is large and open. Fans spin gracefully from the high wooden ceiling enhancing the bayou bistro vibe. A small bar with neatly organized bottles of top shelf spirits tempts you to at least peruse the many selections offered. Neatly coiffed staff in black uniform greet you with friendly faces as you are led to your table. If you prefer waterside dining a sunken deck which overlooks the marina is lined with neatly decorated intimate tables and is fitting for a romantic dinner. The menu pops with Cajun favorites like shrimp and grits, lobster ettoufe, gator and jambalaya. You can also allow your palate to explore dishes like Creole catfish court- boullion or Caribbean snapper. A well-appointed wine list and signature cocktails are available. Live jazz music was playing and it did not interfere with our conversation. Prices are comparable to the other restaurants on the strip but the experience and service is well above. Do not leave St. Maarten without dining at Nola! Reservations recommended.

   Overall a lovely evening on the Marina in Simpson Bay. Server and service very good, meals good and fairly priced. We dined early so caught only a bit of the live music that started at 7:00. Next year we will go for dinner and the music.

    Lady D was our server. She and her team were professional, efficient and personable. She made our evening fun! She brought a bread basket to our table that contained corn bread and muffins that were yummy. My shrimp and grits were out of this world, my husband’s salmon was wonderful, the couple that dined with us enjoyed catfish and gumbo. I had a virgin Nola Hurricane and the flavors were delicious . The view of the marina was amazing and the interior of the restaurant was beautiful, classy yet cozy at the same time. We truly enjoyed our evening out at Nola’s
