It was a wonderful experience. Our server was amazing! Accommodated our every need. Spot on!
Brian took great care of us! He was super helpful with the menu, always had a smile and great attitude, and was attentive to our needs. The dishes were outstanding. Our group especially loved the tacos (all flavors!), the rock shrimp tempura, and fresh sushi and sashimi which melted in the mouth. The complimentary dessert with candle for my husband’s 50th birthday was a lovely surprise.
Our only disappointment was in inaccuracy of the wine list. We ordered the 2016 Kistler Chardonnay, 2016 Pahlmeyer Chardonnay and 2016 Drouhin Vaudon Chablis. All three were actually 2017.
Excellent food and service. Perfect table with a view
I have eaten at nobu a number of times. I was disappointed in the quality of the yellowtail jalapeño dish this time. Also the rock shrimp dish was very greasy. This is not usually the case. Overall it was disappointing- especially since you are paying beyond top dollar for each dish
The service was rather slow this evening. The food was good but not great. Portions are very small. Expensive restaurant.
The wait for cocktails was 20-30 minutes. The food took forever to come out. We were told of the specials including the Wagu beef but no price was quoted. When we got our bill we were charged $550 for just the beef! That is unacceptable for a restaurant to do this. We will never go back to a Nobu anywhere!
Great view but it takes forever to get the foods and the foods were average even for the premium dishes. I can get way better Japanese foods for way less than half the price at this place. It was my first visit but it will be my last :(
First table was in a corner and we asked to move. View was beautiful. Food wasn’t good at all. Wouldn’t go back
I was looking to have a very special dinner with my son who I had not seen in over 6 months. I can’t afford to dine at many really expensive restaurants, but wanted the best. What a disappointment. This place is a complete waste of your money. Do yourself a favor, stay away and don’t buy into the false reputation they they seem to have created.
Birthday- it was great
Very thank you everybody good
Great food great service best atmosphere! Loved it!
Went very Happy Hour and Wagyu Wednesday and sat outside during happy hour. The view was great as usual, the service was subpar, and the sushi and wagyu was tasty but extremely small portions for the price. Still a decent deal during happy hour and the only time worth going there.
Very empty, good service but food isn’t like other locations.
Wife and I did the omakase course. It was very good, but the wait between dishes was way too long. Whole thing took almost 3 hrs.
Delicious but very small portions for the exorbitant price; sushi at March modern just as fresh and much more realistic prices!
We made reservations 8 days prior to dining for my son’s 16th birthday for an outside table by the water. When we arrived, they said they didn’t have one but we could eat at the bar. This was for my son’s birthday so we said we would wait. 45 min later we got our table...no mention of his birthday or anything as we heard them singing to others. After a $400 dinner for 4 people, I told the two hostesses downstairs that they did nothing for him and she said, “Did you purchase a dessert?” We were waiting to see what they were going to do for him before the rest of us ordered. For that amount of money, they
could have at least said happy birthday to him. The 2 hostesses also said, “You made the reservations today so you were not a priority.” First of all, that is incorrect as we made them 8 days prior. Word of advice to the hostess...you don’t tell people paying $400 for 4 people who made a 16th bday reservation 8 days before that they are not a priority. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Malibu Nobu has way better service and outstanding customer relations. Those hostesses should be working elsewhere for sure, or might need some training on how to have some class when speaking to customers!!!
Amazing location and amazing fast service. Love going there. Never gets old!
Thank you for making my birthday memorable with my family. Outstanding dining experience❤
Had a great experience at Nobu for a special Birthday dinner. Our waitress, Chela, was great to us and really knew her stuff. We did the Omakase tasting menu - the Nobu Signature. It was great and well worth the price. Looking forward to going back for the chefs preference tasting for a little more!
$400 for basic sushi for two people. And we brought our own bottles of wine so would’ve been much more.
This was our first time at Nobu at this location. The view was outstanding, right on the water. We ate out on the deck under heaters which made the temperature very comfortable. Our waiter, Max, was excellent. He guided us through the courses as they were served. The food was OUTSTANDING! Everything was fresh, high quality and creative. The best Kobe beef carpaccio I've ever had! Even the dessert, the date cake, was luscious! Great atmosphere, service and food.
Best service Ive had at a Nobu.
My ONLY complaint were the constant interruptions by the servers and busboys. They kept coming to our table to remove dishes; in some cases, we weren’t quite done or had just set down our chopsticks. It made us feel “watched” and “rushed”. I understand you’ll goal is to provide excellent service but it should t be at the expense of interrupting my meal and conversation every 10 mins. Back off. It was just too much I couldn’t wait to leave.
We went for Sunday buffet, all you can eat sushi for $75. I assume Nobu's sushi is outstanding, but at the buffet slices of sushi sit on a platter and present and taste just like any other restaurant's sushi buffet.
Service was the worst I’ve experienced for that particular location, but the food as always was delicious.
Our server was really cool and friendly, the food was amazing, and the view was beautiful, hope to come back soon!
Beautiful restaurant and view but the food disappointed.
Generally expect spot on service and an outstanding experience. This was ok. Waiter was absent for long stretches and although we provided some preferences, they were ignored or forgotten. Fish quality was excellent but their preps are standardized for quantity over quality. Asked them to create stuff off the menu, they essentially served their likely less popular stuff, no creativity there. Nobu Malibu is far better. Likely won’t return.
King Crab Tempura Amazu is a must. I saw Nobu in countless reviews and media specials so i had to try it. I will definitely be coming back.
I come for the sushi and stay for the ambience. I’ve only had positive experiences here ! Excellent!
Great experience for our first time at Nobu.
This is the 3rd Nobu chain we’ve been to - NYC and Aspen. The ambiance is great with a great view. The service definitely is subpar to what we expected. Our waitresses changed in the middle of our dinner with no explanation, the heat lamp was on high despite our multiple requests to turn it down or off, our server missed one of the entrees that we ordered delaying our dinner 30 min, she rarely came around despite our obvious need for service, ... if the average price per head is going north of $100/person, the service better be damn better than this.
Hands down the best food I’ve ever experienced!! We will be back!!
Great ambiance & loved the whole menu. I’m a restaurateur myself & and totally enjoyed the complete experience from walking through the door to leaving the restaurant. Definitely will be back.
our table was an excellent table with a very knowledgeable waiter who was great! The vibe was perfect and the food was even better.
The food and the service are both very good. The view of the restaurant is wonderful.
Here for a birthday. They wrote name on dessert plate along with a candle. Appreciative of server’s recommendations. Stunning food, service and view. Great for a special occasion.
Absolutely Fantastic. Views, Service, Amenities are all first class. A beautiful evening!
