great sushi and sashimi. excellent service. expensive but worth it!
We sat on the heated patio which allowed for a great view of the back bay! Waiter was very friendly and offered good suggestions. Food was worth the price as well!
Always awesome, great service, incredible setting and beautiful food! My wife and I love this place and spend all our special occasions here as a self splurge... highly recommend
I was asked so many times by different people to clear half eaten plates and half full drinks away that I wanted to finish, it actually became quite irritating. Other than that exceptional 👍
We had a great dinner, although the experience is really what makes a restaurant like Nobu.
Waiter was pushy, I felt like I was at the car wash being up sold.
Interior looked dated, needs a renovation. Silk plants, not fresh.
It was cold, patio door was open letting in cold air. When I told waiter I was cold, he offered me a blanket.,,, rather then closing the door.
So many employees, service and overall experience should have been better.
Our Waitress Sheila was absolutely fantastic and extremely informative. We appreciated her so much.
The setting is wonderful at Nobu and the food is spectacular. It's quite expensive, but definitely worth it for special occasions.
Everything was excellent. The shrimp and lobster was superb.
Unreal! The food was amazing and our waiter was so good!
Sushi not fresh, small tiny cut rolls like those you see in supermarkets. Sushi rice is good, though. Everything else to order is extra.
Very limited on short rib with total of 3 small slabs, two of which are way too well done.
Charged everything on the side, even sauce.
Service is great.
They should either improve on food quality or reduce over-rated price of $75/person.
Just opened 2 years ago. At this rate, they’re not going to survive.
Very expensive! Dinner for my son alone was $200. Avoid the ribeye!!!! I was skeptical but our waiter pushed it so hard, we ordered it. The meat was tough, overcooked (was supposed to be MR and it was medium well) and they must put sugar on it because it’s disgustingly sweet.
Stick with the fish- it’s like butter and melts in your mouth.
Extremely disappointing overall. Went there for the food. Not anything special.
Over rated and over priced.
Great food as always!
Beautiful setting and even more outstanding was the food. Such a fun evening with friends.
We had an amazing time at Nobu. We ordered too many dishes to rate them all. Everything was good to excellent. Only one person at our table was a sushi lover. We went to Nobu for her. She loved her sushi and we ordered just about every other cooked dish they served. The service was fabulous.
The only negative is that it’s loud. Really loud. They had a DJ in the bar. Because of that we asked to be seated in the patio and that was perfect. I’m not sure I’d enjoy a meal inside due to the level of noise.
My husband and I were celebrating his birthday. We had an excellent time! The food was delicious and our sushi chef was great! We definitely will be back! Nobu is one of our favorite places to enjoy! We came here for my birthday and traveled to Palo Alto for Nobu there! It’s always consistently amazing!
worst service from the server and the manager was rude
Food was good but not awesome. For these prices the food should be top notch. That is definitely the case at Nobu in Malibu. Newport fell short of the mark.
Wow!! Epic brunch with a amazing flavors, a spectacular view and five star service.
My daughter's favorite place for birthdays, graduations and more! The food is always amazing. A bit of a budget buster, but worth every penny when you want something really great!
The meal started off fine, but ended with a thud. Our waiter went MIA for a bit. Coffee was brought late, and our cake went cold. Speaking of the cake, this was the first time ever that a “high end” restaurant charged me for an anniversary cake. So we paid for a cold cake and melted ice cream. For the most part our food was good. The okra was quite good. On the other hand, the okra in the vegetable hand roll was the worst bite of sushi I’ve had in my life. Sorry, but that dish needs to be taken off your menu. I’m a fourth generation Japanese American, and that sushi was just awful. Sorry. We do thank the staff for the great table though, but come on, charging us for a piece of cake?
Poor service - forgetful of items ordered - rolls ordered up one arrival came after entrees which were ordered over 45 min later came. People didn’t remember items- shift change from it being so quiet. Hope this place makes it eek. Sad too. Worst Nobu by far of any of the well Ofer dozen ones we have tried.
Great views, food👍👍 service great i love it, come back again 🥰👍
The reservation was a little late but they were very accommodating. The food and service was amazing.
We had 8:15 reservation, checked in, was told by 1st hostess we would be seated in a few minutes, waited 15 minutes and politely asked her how we were doing and she said she completely forgot about us and that we would definitely only be a few minutes, waited another 15 minutes and asked her again and she said she forgot our name. I then let her know that it had been 35 minutes and I would like to speak to another hostess and the manager and by doing so the new hostess said she will handle it and get the manager at that point I said I was going to go upstairs to talk to him and when I got upstairs there were open tables and I got a table immediately. Not a good customer experience, and poor leadership.
The food and atmosphere are incredible. We felt the server was pushy. We eat there a lot and don't feel like we need to be asked over and over if we want to drink or buy more food. It's tacky...
No one has replied to me why you restricted me with OpenTable accusing us of not going! This happens a lot with hostess staff who don't record properly.
Please clear my record - we spent like$3000 at Nobu and dine frequently.
Fantastic location food and service - always a great experience!
Had a great experience at the Las vegas location.
This place is an embarrassment... every dish takes around 30 to 40 minutes to come out and also comes out individually when we have a guest of 7 people!!
Server constantly forgets to bring your drinks also taking about 15 to 20 minutes when the restaurant was about 40 percent occupied.
We spent almost $1k dollars on food and left annoyed and hungry...
Unreasonably expensive and poor service. Dinner including alcohol for 5 people at Maestro's cost me $500.00 last Saturday and dinner with same type of drinks at Nobu cost me over $1,000.00
I will never go back to this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone.
Great casual hangout spot. Ambiance is wonderful
Not memorable. Nice staff. Good drinks
very nice --great server an good food --love the location --food value is a little over priced --we eat alot of sushi an there was nothing that special for the price--but love the enviorment
Amazing service, food and experience!
I’ve been to Nobu in NYC and Vegas and had a wonderful experience both times. They had many GF options and were so knowledgeable around them. Service was impeccable. This time was not the same.
It took two people to figure out what I could eat and even then they weren’t sure and didn’t have anything marked so we had to walk through each item on the menu for them to consider.
Our cocktails upon arrival took about 20 min. The glasses of wine we ordered next didn’t get put in and had to be asked for twice.
And the food tasted great, but presentation was lacking. Normally I wouldn’t be concerned, but for the exorbitant prices here, you expect a level up (or two).
Disappointing and not worth the money.
Consistency at nobu is as expected. Good dinner tonight.
Outstanding meal.. beautiful table on the water. Will go back soon
We have been to several other Nobu locations and after a $250 dinner bill you shouldn’t leave hungry and disappointed. The $52 lobster and shrimp dish wasn’t enough for two people. It was mushrooms and no protein and we still can’t figure out how they charge $24 for a small shaved Brussels sprout salad. We seldom ever review a restaurant but both agree for the money we won’t go back. Beautiful space on the water however you’re paying for food, not the view.
Great anniversary dinner on the water — such an incredible experience!!
