Cannot say enough good things about this place. Always assume Nobu would go downhill after expanding, but quality of service and food is still great. Sat at bar to be more casual, and had one of the best bartenders we have seen in awhile.
Experience was great
We love it here, and it’s usually very good. But the last time around
Honestly one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The service was immaculate. Don’t book an 8pm seating time if you want a long dinner though we were basically kicked out at 10pm.
Food was amazing and the vibe was awesome.
My friends and I had such an exquisite time celebrating my 20th birthday here! The $14 squid option was so delectable and perfectly cooked.. I must order that option again! The service and ambiance was fantastic, and special shout-out to all the kind servers including Eric, we appreciate your kindness & great to see you again! Always love Nobu restaurant!!!! Five stars always.
Fantastic food, different combinations but taste amazing, enjoyed it so much x
It was nice but super expensive. Would be able to find that kind of food somewhere else for a better price
Lost our server and had to find assistance to order drinks. Came early and spent 2 hours trying to catch a waiter to answer questions about our dishes and order drinks. Dissatisfy and disappointing to say least.
Nobu never disappoints!
It was extremely dark. We could hardly read our menus. And it was very loud which made it hard to hear. Food and sake was fantastic though.
Amazing dinner definitely on my fav restaurant list! Restaurant week dinner course with sushi was amazing!
Aloha Nobu’s is great value for restaurant week a must for you foodies
There really are no words. Amazing restaurant, amazing chef. The coolest wait staff ever. Best night!!
This was a great meal and excellent service
Had the Restaurant Week 5 course meal with the nigiri. The scallops and the nigiri was tasted phenomenal. Great place for date night!
My friends and I dined for restaurants week and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing. The waiter attended to all of our dietary restrictions and allergies which was very nice considering the menu was family style and a few dishes had to be specially made for individuals. As it is expensive fine dining I would return for a special occasion but probably wouldn't make it a regular haunt.
The sushi was fresh and the food delicious. However the price was way too high. A small glass of sake was almost $30. The lobster salad which was too spicy was $70. Be careful when ordering ala carte because the bill can be high. It might be better to order the omakase. It is great to try one time but too expensive to go back.
Went for Restaurant Week prix fixe menu. Everything was amazing.
Excellent dining experience! Our waiter recommended a couple of dishes that we ended up ordering and truly loved; delicious recommendations. Felt a little neglected by our waiter at times, but overall we enjoyed our date at Nobu. Best margarita I’ve had on Oahu!
Kicked off restaurant week at Nobu and it was AMAZING. We did the restaurant week menu and ordered the Miso Cod and King Crab truffle from the regular menu. Everything was so delicious from start to finish. The waiters are very attentive and service is phenomenal. They even provided a customer sitting next to us a blanket because she was cold. The only thing that we would change is the lighting in the restaurant. It’s so dark. I would’ve liked to have seen more of our food.
Sisters nite out.
Pricey but delicious and worth it!!!
Food was excellent as usual. The service was excellent. I have never had a bad meal at Nobu.
Every dish was unique, exquisite and delicious. On point. Did not disappoint. Our server was exceptional. If we could afford to, wed do this weekly. Highly recommend this to anyone.
Unfortunately we had terrible service. David was our server and he simply didn’t treat us as well as he treated his other tables. No explanation as to how the menu works, no recommendations, nothing. He went all out with everyone else but gave us the cold shoulder.
They totally mis-prepared my wife’s steak and overall the evening was a huge disappointment.
UPDATE: the restaurant manager saw my review and called me the next day. He apologized for the service and offered to make good on it. I appreciated the call and gesture and would give this place another try in the future.
Absolutely delicious, a definite treat. It had come highly recommended by my friends and they were right!
Exceptional as ever.
Great place! Excellent foods & customer services! We definitely won’t be our last. I recommend for dating and business meeting too!
Biggest issue we had was wait time on entree’s. We ordered everything at beginning of dinner and asked for certain entree to come out first. We ordered app
( sushi roll) came out really quick then ordered fish course and ribeye. We asked for ribeye to come last which we received after sushi. It was ok nothing special and was under seasoned. Fish came a few min later which by this time we were disappointed so we cancelled. Dessert took really long too. The best part was Happy Hour. Apps were great and drinks came fast
Shocking average for the restaurant with such a great reputation. Love the one in LA and The Bahamas. This one is weak. Left me extremely disappointed. I would call this an average at best attempt for Nobu.
Nobu is one of the best restaurants in Honolulu. The location was moved from Wikiki to Kakaako, but i t is still nice. I have a question to Open Table. Why don't get my 100 point which showed before I went to the restaurant?
Food was amazing and staff was very friendly. But after 370$ I was still hungry
If you’ve never tried the Shrimp Ceviche shooters, you haven’t done yourself any justice. I promise, you will feel the bang your palate has been missing. As usual, the black truffle king crab never disappoints as I’m watching over my shoulder watching to see if anyone is watching me scraping the shell clean. And yes, it’s that good you’re going to want to go back the next day and order it again. What can I say, this is my favorite restaurant in the entire world!!!! And don’t forget to order that bottle of Kenzo Estate Sauvignon Blanc Asatsuyu. I promise you will thank me in your review because it goes well with the food.
Sincerely one of the best dining experiences we've had. We've never been let down by the food and my significant other said that the sea bass is one of the best fish dishes on the island. Moreover, the service is authentically kind and attentive. I appreciated all of it.
Everything was great. We had the omakase. each course was timed well and the wait staff made sure our waters were filled and finished plates were taken away quickly.
Outstanding. Best Japanese food ever. It is on the pricy side, but it is worth it.
We enjoyed the great quality of the food, never tasted better. The service was beyond what I expected. if not for the travelzoo i would have not been able to go...thank you Nobu for the travelzoo!
Definitely paying for the name. The food is okay.
