I was here for my birthday and it could have been a better experience. The food was way too over priced, I knew it would be expensive but I didn’t know it would be in such tiny portions. It was $8 for 1 veggie taco that was smaller than the size of a baby bird. My food was also small but it tasted very great. The tastes were better than the portions. The staff was attentive and it wasn’t a long wait, the atmosphere was beautiful and we got a great table. The most disappointing thing was that I specifically put in a note to sing happy birthday after the main course. When they called and had me confirm my reservation they even asked what the occasion was and I let them know but they never did sing or bring anything out for the occasion. It was just something I expected and for what I paid it would have been worth it but I have to say overall it wasn’t worth the money.
Perfect! The staff was attentive to our needs. I recommend trying the toro nigiri sushi.
Amaziing! Had an incredible experience!
Nobu Downtown seems to be doing quite well, despite the disadvantages of having many of their outdoor tables lined up on the sidewalk next to the heavy traffic of Broadway.
Certainly, those who can afford restaurants in Nobu’s expensive price range have other choices with a better outdoor ambiance, such as a rooftop or patio, but once indoor dining starts again, Nobu will have a better situation.
Really excellent job, given the difficult circumstances. Food was very enjoyable and service good
Overall services was great you can’t complain in these times, it’s outdoor seating due to COVID-19, so it’s can be a bit noisy on the sidewalk because it is NYC’s financial district. However the staff sanitized everything & I felt extremely safe. You can see they are making an effort to sanitize & keep stations and social distancing. The food was cool, this is definitely an upscale place, so the portions are VERY small & pricey so if you’re really hungry be prepared to spend some money. The drinks are great & their house champagne is actually really good. I would definitely recommend for special occasions like birthdays or a serious date night with someone you want to impress. Their green tea ice cream is the BEST I’ve ever had.
No outdoor heaters. Forgot miso on cod
Excellent dining on a Broadway street corner with racing crowds of protesters chased by police on foot and then by dozens of squad cars, sirens roaring. Ultimate N.Y. experience. Food like no other and unflappable service. Our young guest was blown away being at Nobu which she’s heard about in a rap about Malibu. We love cause it’s our neighborhood place
To expensive for what it is. Food is not at all that amazing.
Love Nobu Downtown! And outdoor dining is great!!
Great food as always, good outdoor setup
Very friendly server! Loved the drinks especially the old fashioned;)
The appetizers were great the sashimi was good the maki was really really skimpy on the fish. We got lucky with the weather so it was enjoyable
It was an amazing birthday dinner
Lovely setting, incredible food, excellent service.
Very over rated. Food was mediocre at best. Too much hype.
Food was super salty.
Service was great, very friendly and courteous. Probably never go back
Food was great
The food underwhelmed. It arrived semi-warm, maybe because the walk from the kitchen was too far. Dining outdoors on Broadway was an interesting experience, but not one I would really recommend. Missing was the ambiance of the interior of the majestic restaurant, and this surprisingly brought done the quality of the food and experience.
Terrible service. Asked for the check about 5 times from different waiters, took over 20 mins to get it and caused two Ubers to cancel. Bill was for $500 and they didn’t even refill water cups! Food was OK, not as good as before.
The outdoor dining experience was unfortunately marred by the noise and smell pollution of the Broadway traffic
Nobu has done a great job adapting to outdoor dining. They've created a great atmosphere, despite being pushed to the sidewalk.
Excellent food preparation and presentation as usual. Handling outside dining as well as can possibly be expected. For the present outside dining requirement, this is as special as dinner can get.
We dined outdoors on Broadway, the sushi was as delicious as ever and the service was outstanding.
Food and service were excellent. Having to eat outside on Broadway can be challenging from a noise and ambiance POV, but I guess that's life in a pandemic.
Pretty much the last serving before all or the restaurants in nyc were forced to close. Staff were all amazing and came across so calm even in a time of major panic and chaos. Thank you all for making sure this was still a wonderful experience ☺️
Nobu is a great addition to the TriBeCa dining scene. The variety on the menu makes each dining experience unique. My advice—go there several times and order new items each time. The lamb chops, lobster tempura and wagu dumplings are all amazing!
This restaurant is better than ever in every way. PHENOMENAL food and overall excellent dining experience.
This place is highly suggested by a lot of people but compared to the staff at Del Frisco’s and the interaction as well as the actual food itself, I wouldn’t suggest this restaurant to anyone. Our waiter didn’t seem enthused to assist us, maybe he was a new waiter but he just wasn’t happy abt serving us.
Awesome evening at Nobu! Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Brian for your great navigation tips of your delicious menu.
Amazing as always
Besides the wait everything was absolutely magnificent.
NOBU was exceptional from the entrance to the dining experience. Everything was of A plus quality! Highly recommend this place if you are into seafood and like to explore seafood options. Everything we ordered was delicious ! Each dish just as great as the next. The black cod in miso sauce was amazing ! The Brownie dessert was to die for
It was my birthday and we were sat in the middle of no where ... there was a guy who was training people who would just stand right behind me or facing towards the table - extremely uncomfortable and the rowdy girls next to me were literally screaming , which was so annoying. Despite having reservations we had to wait 15 minutes and I find that ridiculous cus the girl in the front was unprofessional and gave me a dirty look when I asked how long will it take . Smh it’s not a 3 star restaurant so I’m not sure why they have a stick up their @** but each to its own. The dessert was amazing so that saved my bday but it was not the best experience.
Amazing food amazing place just amazing!
Portions were very small and orders served while other guests waited for food
food as always was excellent and consistent. Perfect for a business lunch
Very low food quality for the price. Nobu downtown significantly degraded since before their move.
