Nobu Downtown | Restaurant
Excellent food, great. Service also AAA, expensive but every Dollar worth it.
Great food, a bit expensive for the quantity. I would recommend!
Great food as always. Leave room for the lime bar dessert. Special.
I was looking for a special restaurant to take my Dad to in NYC for his 50th bday and Nobu did not disappoint! We both travel often and always seek out great restaurants , but I have to say Nobu has been my absolute favorite anywhere! From the minute you walk in the door you know you are in for a great experience. Everything was impressive from the service to the food and drinks. I would highly recommend Nobu and I will be visiting again for my honeymoon in a couple weeks!!
I always heard good things but didn’t realize how corporate it was or that they allowed crying babies inside. We had an early reservation at 6pm but always thought it was a classier place. The ambience wasn’t anything to brag about either. Our waiter was 5 stars without a doubt and the food was delicious although felt overpriced.
The service was horrible. Kept on asking for the server to come back. It also took forever to get the check meanwhile the server was standing at the reception desk just chatting away with other staff. Will never come back.
Awesome food, little bit expensive on plain dish!
great time and atmosphere was great. it seems like everyone is in their own world.
Jun was an amazing server!
Great place for sharing with Family. Food is really good and the waiter recommends you the best way to experience your food at the most!
Definitely lovely place to build unforgettable family memories!!!
Absolutely loveddd everything about this place. The food was so deliciously made. From the salad to the fresh tacos/ house rolls. The cod fished with the miso soup was out of this world. Great overall. Will def come back!
Birthday party. Great selection and impeccable service. Memorable evening for all!
The food and service was outstanding however too many loud boisterous tables really took away from the Nobu ‘vibe’ which really surprised me. I think at this point Nobu uptown is a more refined eating experience and the crowd is a little less ‘screaming to talk while sitting on each other’s laps and falling out of chairs and taking selfies’. Literally.
I had been to Nobu 17 years ago and expected that it would be more popular because the food was the best. Today, I visited here again with my husband and daughter and realized that our table is just next to people who had been drunken too much. They were so loud and hugged kissed too much. Since I was with my 10 years old daughter I asked them to change our table to another but the server told me that the table is occupied. However, the table was not occupied for 1 and half hour until we finishes our meal. I was so disappointed at their service. It was the first time I didn’t want to pay tips in NY but I paid 37$ as a manner. I hope they learn some consideration next time. I can’t remember the taste of the meal I had because of the terrible noise next to our table.
Our son was so excited to bring his girlfriend here for her 21st birthday. The waitress couldn't have been less helpful with two young adults asking for some special recommendations from the menu.
The two of them are adventurous eaters and she brought out a tuna roll, a tempura roll and 2 other pedestrian rolls. They could have stayed local for that... The kid had carte blanche and an unlimited credit card. Just because someone is young doesn't mean they're not going to spend or that they don't deserve the same special treatment. Not nice.
Upscale sushi restaurant in Downtown Manhattan.
Food was good: we picked few maki rolls, spicy tempura and wagyu dumplings.
Service a bit slow to respond (our table was booked at 9pm and we sat down at 9.45pm). The vibe at the bar upstairs is nice.
Food experience was good, not much value for money as the menu s fairly straightforward but with pricey items.
Atmosphere was everything plus more. Food variety and value could be improved.
Although the food is excellent, as Nobu quality is amazing, it really takes away from the experience to have bad service. We waited FOREVER to get our orders taken and then part of our order was messed up. We were seated downstairs to the side, no ambiance, felt like i was at a chain restaurant. for a $700 meal for 3 people it was not worth it.
Food was outstanding. Everything tasted incredible, but the yellowtail with jalapeño sashimi was the best of all. Great service and great atmosphere. One of my favorite dining experiences in recent memory.
Went here to celebrate my daughters birthday, didnt disappoint. Was debating on going here for a while and so happy we finally made the decision to go. 100% worth the money! Recomend the yellowtail jalapeno, crispy rice, and black cod!
Had a wonderful birthday dinner with the family.
The entire experience was wonderful. We went for the Restaurant Week lunch. I accidentally made reservations for the wrong section of the restaurant to be able to order from the Restaurant Week menu. The waiter and hostess were kind enough to reseat us in the correct section. I happened to check my email and found that my reservation was canceled so I wouldn't be earning my Open Table points. I brought it to the managers attention and he quickly fixed it so that I would get my Open Table points.
The service from start to finish was impeccable and the food was amazing. I highly recommend Nobu for your next night or lunch out.
Thanks Nobu! I will be a repeat customer.
The place is beautiful, the welcome is professional and nice but our waiter was a little rude, dismissive, and even though i said from the beginning we were in a little bit of a rush and we ordered the bento boxes quickly, it still took almost an hour from our reso to have our orders. The food was very good, but not worth repeating.
Always terrific food. All great. Unfortunately, after going to the best restaurants in NYC and elsewhere for the last 30 years, I still don't understand why, even in an empty restaurant (we were the first to arrive for lunch) they try to seat you at the worst table. We were seated right next to the kitchen doorway which was open and you could hear things banging. We asked to move and the hostess said no problem you can sit wherever you'd like. So we moved. But every restaurant does this. I do not get it. Why not leave the worst table for last? I hate asking to move every time.
The experience at Nobu was excellent. The service was extremely attentive and very helpful and accommodating with my intolerances. I get very comfortable!
The food was of course delicious and well presented. The restaurant was beautiful and seating was comfortable in the dining room, which sits at the lower level. I highly recommend this restaurant!
The have. B rating on their door
Amazing food and very attentive server who clearly and thoroughly explained everything served to us. Also, able to accommodate dietary restrictions easily without making it seem like a hassle, will certainly be back
Post funeral brews
Our dining experience at Nobu was phenomenal! The dishes are serves family-style and were delicious, from our go-to dish to our waiter's intuitive yet adventurous recommendation. The wait staff also included a special treat for the birthday being celebrated and were attentive without being overly-pushy.
We thought it was quite pricey for what you got. Also you have to give them a standard tip and the service was average.
A great overall experience. Had a great time and the food was good.
It’s amazing to me that given how long Nobu has been around it always feels special going there. Food/Service/Ambiance is consistently top notch.
Nobu is one of my favorite spots. The waitstaff is excellent and the food is always outstanding. I have been to all the other locations besides Nobu Downtown. It was an interesting spot, kinda hidden unlike all of the others. But still great and friendly staff with phenomenal food.
Very unwelcoming host. The lady was very nice but the man was unwelcoming and extremely rude tone. Maybe because I was with kids. Oh yeah, they messed up my order and usually in a restaurant where you are spending more than 400 for lunch for 3 people, you would think the manager would come over and apologize or at least say something but he stood there rudely overlooking the table, almost like he wanted people to leave as quickly as possible. Food is amazing but they need to get better hosts. Definitely would turn around next time if I see his face again.
Been here before. Great food. Way too expensive tho
Great food and great atmosphere. Perfect for a date. It's loud enough to not be awkward but not too loud that you can't have a conversation.
Good food but overall disappointing experience.,
