One of the best meals I’ve ever had in the US. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough!!! Every aspect of the experience was incredible, especially the food and the service.
Our favorite place to dine in NYC
Food is always the best - flavors outstanding. Cocktail list is refreshing and always amazing service.
Fabulous fancy and chic! As NYC should be!!
so glad they are back open for indoor dining ! everything was excellent as usual
A little bit overprice, the service was amazing, and good food
I have eaten at Nobu many times and was not impressed. In fact disappointed with some of my previously favorite dishes. don’t think I will return any time soon.
The best sushi on NYC!🥰
Absolutely incredible indoor dining experience. The service and food were excellent.
Great Location, my wife likes it better than the 57 street location because it looked like gotham city, large pillars huge ceiling height. Helps that taylor swift was 2 tables away from us too, we had the most comfortable seats, very plush leather, good size roundtable, candle lit, rose pedals, it was incredible.
Outstanding definitely coming back for a 3rd time !!
Great atmosphere, amazing food, excellent service.
Great place to bring a date.
Great valentine's dinner
Great experience
I’ve eaten here multiple times and this was unsatisfying. Quality of food was completely off.
Experience was great, small portions but delicious food.
First bad experience at Nobu
I rarely go to Nobu as I always think of it as a high end tourist trap and I often find the food is not really that good. This time the food was bad. The rock shrimp tempura tasted like oil and the scallop sushi was chewy and tasteless. The only consistently tasty dish is the crispy rice and spicy tuna. I don't think we'll be visiting them again soon..
Food was delicious. Nobu never disappoints.
Great time at Nobu downtown. Beautiful decor. Will definitely return.
Terrific food. Service was very good but could have been more attentive at this price point. It was my boyfriend’s Birthday and I had left all the info when I made the reservation. In fact when they called me to confirm the reservation in the AM they specifically confirmed the spelling of his name. When the desert came there was no indication it was a Bday. I mentioned it to the waitress and she apologized and sent over a plate with a candle, HAPPY BIRTHDAY written in chocolate and 2 chocolate chip Mochis Very Nice.
Always a great meal!!! One of our favorites!!!
Our waiter made our experience absolutely everything. I've never been asked about dietary restrictions before at any other restaurant (high or low end). Once we told him we cannot have anything with meat or alcohol in it, he gave us a detailed response about which items we would not be able to eat then. Everyone was so polite, and the food and drinks were amazing!! They did forget the birthday dessert I requested over the phone prior to our reservation, but our dinner experience was so great we did not mind. A little pricey, but expected when you're coming somewhere as fancy as Nobu. But all in all, the ambience, environment, food, and service make it 100/10. Would DEFINITLEY recommend coming here
Pro's: Cooked meals were great along with dessert. Cocktails were fantastic.
Cons: I'm a sushi guy and it was average, very basic items. Waiter tried to upsell constantly, especially their most popular items. Clientele was very "scruffy" for a saturday night like they were kicked out of Planet Hollywood. Party to my left was a stereotypical 60 year old guy with 20 year old date, party to my right was a guy wearing a garish baseball hat backwards with bright white Nikes and Adidas sweatsuit and his GF was no better. I spent $500 taking my 14 year daughter out for her birthday and just expected a little more class for the money or at least some kind of dress code or professional ambiance. The food was good but Nobu is a chain now and it felt like one.
Everything was phenomenal! I felt the price was a little expensive.
Used to be one of my favorite restaurants. But, the food has been marginal the past 2 times so, no longer worth the exorbitant price.
COVID process is very good. Nobu is being careful and the size of the space allows for proper distancing.
I expected our table to be somewhere else and we got a table by the kitchen downstairs, didn't like that at all , smell all food and it wasn't as classy as upstairs
And its too pricey !
The food was amazing! Every dish we tried was delicious and the Wagyu was out of this world! Great dining experience with the hubby!
The host Q was an amazing start. Our server June was fabulous. Great nite of fine dining and cocktails
Great experience!! Since the moment we walked in the service was great !
Food was terrible . I went for my birthday dinner , wouldn’t recommend. I did not enjoy my birthday dinner whatsoever
The Sea Bass was too small
Food was good but portions too small
Expect to spend $100/person
Night out with my wife
Incredible! Wonderful ambiance, service and food!
Amazing as always! So happy to be back. The food and staff are both always incredible.
Everything was excellent. Top notch service and fresh delicious food as always at Nobu. Never had a bad experience at any of their locations. Tables were distanced and we felt safe and comfortable.
OMG everything was great!!! We had the lobster tempura which was delightful along with the salmon avocado and shrimp tempura rolls. Nobu Downtown is my new favorite restaurant!
We went to NOBU DOWNTOWN for our anniversary and had a very good experience.
The tables were socially distant and all the servers were wearing masks. Our table was in the Bar area and was lovely except it was very cold. We weren’t sure if the revolving doors were the problem or if it was done purposefully for Covid but it made the experience uncomfortable and the food cooled quickly.
The food was excellent as was the service but you do need to be prepared for the large bill as it’s pricey.
I had alerted them on open table that it was an anniversary and had thought they might give a complimentary dessert but the did not acknowledge it.
Brought my 12 year old daughter to the famous Nobu for her birthday. We had a great time considering it was the middle of Covid. We wound up in a different room (vast, huge pillars) which was nice but not Nobu—would have liked to have known that ahead of time considering the occasion. Social distancing was done to perfection. If it’s still during Covid be careful of the 10p curfew. If the 6p seating goes over you don’t get extra time...you have to be out by 10...you might have your main course and desert on the table at the same time. My only issue with Nobu are the punitive prices...$7.50 for one piece of salmon sushi...2-3x what the rest of the world charges. The creativity is up to par...the truffle steak, miso cod, yellowtail jalapeno/ponzu are all staples/classics.
I’ve been a patron of the Nobu group for a great amount of time, especially the Downtown location. But for the first time in years I was extremely disappointed with the ambiance and quality of food. Nobu is my favorite restaurant because of the attention to detail of the full experience from service, ambiance and food - but this time I was disappointed. The overall ambiance was poor - bathroom was a mess, the dining room was packed and the noise level was insane. The service was fantastic however it was visible that chefs and staff were rushing and struggling to take on the volume of guests. The food was ok but visibly noticeable that it was prepared too quickly, and not the same consistently high quality as times before. I hope that this was an individual instance and not a constant occurrence.
