Upon arrival, the hosts greeted us with a smile, and let us to our table. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable, and guided us through our selection of dishes. Her recommendations were accurate and the dishes were both spectacular in presentation and taste. They took their time bringing out the food and we definitely did not feel rushed. This was overall a spectacular experience and I would definitely recommend Nobu downtown to family and friends.

We had a wonderful time. The food and service exceeded our expectations. We sat at the counter where we could see our meal, and other meals, prepared before our eyes. It was incredible. You must try the crispy rice with spicy tuna. Amazing!

Nobu downtown was a great experience. The food was very good. However, the crispy rice was not that crispy. It was very chewy. The crisy rice at Koi is much better. In addition, our waiter, although very nice and professional, does not go over any of the specials. We only heard the specials from tables next to us. It's a great restaurant but not what it used to be.

Server was not attentive and didn't take any order for 45mins. Not even appetizer like edamame. We also had 2 hour limit for dinner. It's consistent all over the world but quality of service continues to deteriorated as they expand all over the world.

The servers were extremely rushed and it felt like they were trying to get rid of you as soon as u sat down. As soon as a plate was served, they were making rounds every 5 seconds to check if you were done. One lady even took out a Lysol wipe and cleaned the table during our dinner. The servers were not kind at all.

Food & wait service were great, but host tried to seat us in an odd back corner in an area away from the main dining room, although we had a reservation & the restaurant was not full. Overall ambiance is not on the same level as Nobu was when we first dined there.

Bottom line: don't order omakase. Pick your delights and/or favorites and stick to them. Nobu is usually such a wonderful place to visit - not only for the ambiance, but the food is spot on. This time, however, was a pretty big disappointment. Service was great, ambiance was great, but the food went from decent to pretty terrible throughout our courses. I took two of my direct reports (one new to our company) to a celebration of their awesomeness and welcome them to our firm. I hadn't done this in the past - my go-to is the black cod and some other items, but I wanted to treat my team so we splurged on omakase. Wow what a mistake. Omakase started out strong with tacos, sushi/oysters, etc, but when it got closer and closer to the 'main'(s), it went downhill so fast we didn't really eat anything else. The wagyu beef was shaved so thin it tasted like they went to Arby's and got a bit of roast beef, if only we could have tasted it properly. The beef was not only pretty terrible (and not wagyu quality from what I've had at Nobu and other restaurants int he past), it was covered with a dressing that completely overpowered it, so we pretty much just ate this weird dressing with some semblance of meat in it. The final 'main' was sea bass and was not cooked properly, cold (as if it was cooked then just sat out for about 20 minutes waiting), and no one was able to take another bite after their first. It was sad to see my guests skip what could have been the best course. So all-in-all, stick to what you know at Nobu, don't trust omakase, especially at that price point, to do you any better than what you should/could pick on your own.

I love Nobu but last bight dinner was terrible we go to Nobu all over the world The food taste was not what we were used to to we are used to to their prices and was never an issue however when the dood taste and quality iand lack of service is not as expected obviously the price doesn’t justify

I have always been skeptical about trying raw food but chef Orlando made my first experience ever unforgettable and made me LOVE raw seafood . Amazing place will definitely be coming back .

This was my first time at Nobu and it certainly did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I did the omakase tasting which I highly recommend. Our server, Rafaella, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, Nobu experience, and wine pairings for what we ordered, as well as very friendly. Every dish we ordered was delicious and fresh. Nobu definitely lives up to its name!

First time here - I usually go to the Malibu location - and enjoyed it just as much. Beautiful space , impeccable service, amazing food … will definitely come back next visit to NYC. I have no specific food recommendations because every bite was beautiful!

Nobu is exceptional and when you visit once every few years, you're reminded how exceptional it is. The service is outstanding. The food creative, full of flavor and exceeds expectations. Come with a full wallet cuz it will be empty when you leave but you won't be sorry!

Underwhelmed with our experience. Food was good but we expected it to be amazing, and it was not. It was pretty average. Service was uneven — our server apologized a half-dozen times for making us wait, to acknowledge our presence, to bring us menus, to take our order, etc. Overall felt like all hype and not all that.

The straff is rude, the steak was severly overcocked - asked for medium rare, sent it back, then we got raw meat. Overall not a good experience, Even had to sit in the bar and not the dining hall….
