Nobu Downtown is located in the heart of Manhattan’s Financial District designed by NYC’s celebrated architect, David Rockwell. On the ground level, guests can enjoy open air-like experience in our Broadway dining room or Bar & Lounge dining framed by 30 foot heroic limestone columns. Our sub terrain dining room provides intimate ambience with sushi bar and private dining options. Indulge in Chef Nobu’s famous signature dishes including Rock Shrimp Tempura and Black Cod Miso as well as traditional Japanese favorites and sushi.

    Been going to this location for many years but the front of the house and their managers was lacking professionalism on my most recent visit. Made a simple request to be seated earlier from my reservation time and despite the restaurant being totally empty they totally forgot me and when I asked why I could not be seated earlier the host said the restaurant just opened which it turns out to be a total lie. When I brought up to the manager she just gave me lip service. Not coming back.

    Be ready to eat in a thumping club. This was not a more zen-like atmosphere that we’ve enjoyed at other Nobu’s. Could hardly have a conversation. A pretty distracted by the guy vaping across from me (yes, in the dining room). We love Nobu, but not coming back to this downtown location.

    We sat at the bar and though I was initially concerned about comfort level, I was very wrong. It was very comfortable and we had the added bonus of watching the sushi chefs. We shared Spicy Tuna, a special Salmon and Pear, and another Salmon appetizer. Every one was delicious. I had Creamy Spicy Crab as my entree, and my dining partner had a 2 piece Black Cod. It was all delicious. The wait staff was attentive and made excellent recommendations throughout.

    I come to NYC at least once a month and I’ve been to NOBU downtown 3 times and my experience has been great all around each and every time ! Food is amazing and the staff is equally amazing High recommend .

    During the event, the manager made a comment that I found inappropriate. Following the presentation of a birthday cake, we were informed that a fee of $9 per person would be charged for cake cutting. When I politely inquired about a possible courtesy for the birthday person, the manager suggested that if I purchased four desserts, the cake-cutting fee would be waived. I pointed out that the cost of four desserts equaled the $9 per person fee. The manager then explained that as a representative of a white corporation, she was unable to offer anything for free. I want to emphasize that I did not expect anything to be provided without cost, and as a person of color, I found her remark deeply offensive.

    I celebrated my anniversary with my wife at NOBU DOWNTOWN, and it was truly a magical experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel special right away. The ambiance of the restaurant is stunning, effortlessly blending elegance with a vibrant atmosphere. It set the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Our table was beautifully set, and the intimate lighting created a romantic mood. Now, let's talk about the food—absolutely exceptional! We started with the Yellowtail Jalapeño, which was a delightful explosion of flavors. Each dish we ordered was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, showcasing the artistry of the chefs. The service was impeccable throughout the evening. They surprised us with a special dessert to celebrate our anniversary, which was a lovely touch that made the night even more memorable. NOBU DOWNTOWN is the ideal place for a romantic evening or a special celebration. We left feeling grateful for the experience and already planning our next visit.     The whole experience was outstanding. We got late, party of 5, due to bad traffic but they were accommodating and seated us immediately. The staff were outstanding and helped us with menu selection and pace of how the dishes arrived were perfect. We tried multiple dishes including raw fish, steaks, sushi and desserts. It is uncommon to see all the dishes done to perfection. The noise level was easy to hold conversation and space between the tables was more than adequate. I specially want to compliment our waiter for his professionalism. This is the second time I have been there and I can say with the help of our waiter we chose our menu selection perfectly.
