Amazing service too much noise
Absolutely amazing service from the tall brown haired gentleman. Very knowledgeable about the menu. The other staff were very polite and personable too! Food was good, not great.
This is our third and best Nobu, far superior to NYC and London. The service, ambiance, and most importantly food were excellent. It is very expensive but the quality is beyond reproach. The fusion dishes, tuna on rice cubes, hamachi crudo, wagu beef were better than the the sushi.
They were inventive and delicious. The service was fabulous our server made the meal. Even the coconut sorbet was perfect. We will be back just not with our starving college students who ate the bill into four figures!!
Seated in extremely cold area under ac and no one would do a thing
We arrived early. Made to wait inspite table was empty
Deliciously smooth Peruvian-inspired Japanese, just give your server freedom to serve you what they know is best—they will not let you down. Thoroughly enjoyed the cranked vibe and it was a lovely way to spend my husband’s 40th Birthday!
The food is super overpriced. The servers don't explain the menu well and the portions don't make sense for the pricepoint.
Best food ever, great service
Everyone from the valet to the server were extremely professional and pleasant. Food was amazing! The Miso Seabass is incredible, favorite thing on the menu. Overall experience was excellent. Definitely recommend and will be returning.
Very overrated. Omakase Sushi was ordered but they served salad and steak???? Perhaps the staff should have mentioned omakase is not the traditional omakase I had in mind. I even mentioned it was my first time there. Also mentioned food allergies for my son (tree nuts) and the dessert they brought was covered with pecans? Lol never again
Great food, great atmosphere and wonderful service!
Nobu is my go to place when I’m craving sushi. I’m so happy they opened one in DC. Now I don’t have to travel to NY for my fix. Service is always wonderful and the food... it’s that awesome as usual. After over 20 years being a patron, I’m so glad they still have the Nobu classics. Definitely not your every day sushi place but definitely worth it. Highly recommend!
My wife and I spent the night in DC and chose Nobu for dinner. The bartender was scary, to the point my wife didn’t like her drink which was the bartenders recommendation but she said I am scared of her to send it back. Food DEFINITELY not worth it, the little sushi joint near my house has a better food than the hyped up Nobu so I felt money was wasted. The only bright side was our server at the table was very pleasant.
Would not recommend.
Servers were not the best
Service and food exceptional as always. Nobu never disappoints no matter which one you go to.
In-town visit with family.
Birthday great night!
The food was amazing! The hostess and bar tenders were awesome. Unfortunately our waiter was extremely forgetful. We had to order food and drinks multiple times, because he forgot to actual place the orders.
The food was as expected for a 500 dollar dinner. No complaints. The restaurant called us a couple of days in advance and told me that they always make something special for birthdays. I had really high expectations but unfortunately the service was really bad.
First we had to wait about 15 minutes for menus and water. I ordered a glass of wine that did not come out for 30 minutes and after the first 2 dishes was served. We also ran out of water after the first dish and did not have a refill for about 45 minutes.
After ordering a dessert and paying the bill, just when we were adding the tip, the waitress looked at us and said: “I heard someone had a birthday, happy birthday”. This was clearly just an attempt to make up for the horrible service.
Extremely slow service and food no where as good as other locations. I love Nobu and have been to several other locations across the US. My experience at the DC Nobu was lacklustre
Amazing food and service.
Great food and ambience! Ask for Nichole; she’s the best!
This was one of the worst experiences in a nobu we ever had. We have gone to both in nyc and Miami
Really really not good. Waited forever for the drinks and food was aweful. So upsetting. We were trying to celebrate our daughter who is going to college in DC for her birthday.... even the Toro which is her favorite was really not good. Our order was all messed up and waiter had no idea what he was going.
This is not a Nobu standard
We sat in the back on the outdoor patio. Beautiful evening. Attentive staff. All the food was delicious and perfect portions.
The service was amazing - our server suggested exactly what we wanted and made my birthday amazing. Exceptional! We can’t wait to come back.
We ordered sprinkled water, but got tap instead. Eventually fixed the issue
A group of 7 of us enjoyed a celebratory dinner here and it was really great! Many of us chose the $120 7 course meal and we were all in love with the presentation, variety, and flavors. Outstanding!
Food and service were spot on. I would definitely return.
Good experience. Be ready to spend heavy, but you won’t be disappointed in the quality of your food.
Our waitress was exceptional and service oriented. We apologize for not knowing her name.
Amazing food as always. Service left something to be desired.
Excellent food and service. The waiter essentially chose food for us, which was great. All delicious. Expensive though
Not as good as other Nobu restaurants
The service was great!
In terms of value, I did not realize or enjoy each meal sooo good as to justify the price point for each. I just do not see it.
Excellent food. My family and I especially appreciate the tasting menu. The price point is certainly high for what it is, but the convenience of a reliable tasting menu combined with a casual atmosphere are worth it to me.
Don’t believe the hype - thoroughly mediocre food at a grossly inflated price
Cherokee is the best
The small plates are beyond delightful. Delicious food with exquisite presentation.
Front desk was good and helpful But that’s as far as the good part of the evening went.
Serving staff were forgetful and clumsy, got the orders wrong and incomplete and very inconsistent service.
Entree arrived before appetisers. Had to chase to get warm water which we got after 3 attempts.
Menu limited compared to Nobu’s usual high standards and doesn’t stack up against London, Melbourne, KL etc, same feedback on food - overpriced average Japanese food at this venue. Overall forgettable experience, not worth returning for.
Not sure what all the hype is about . food not that great. service really slow
We had high hopes but for the price they charged the service should have been stellar. We can accept one misstep but it became a comedy of errors. Food came out but we did not have plates. The soy sauce was nearly empty. We got the wrong drink order brought over which we sent back. Then we waited 20 minutes for our drink order to arrive. Then they brought us the wrong food. They also kept grabbing the plates we originally had to ask for so it was constant interruptions. The food was good but not “so much better” than my local sushi restaurant. It was the missteps of the serving staff and the bar orders that give his experience, our first time to Nobu, a single star.
