Not the best sushi, over priced for what you receive in terms of quality, presentation and portion size. Enjoyable atmosphere but definitely overrated overall and we were all shocked at the quality of the sushi and other dishes we ordered.

The food is always good at nobu, and I have never had bad service until yesterday. Our server, Savannah G, didn’t have to do much except take out drink orders really since we were having the weekend brunch. W hen the bill came I noticed there was a mistake on the bill which I asked her to correct. When I pointed out the correct amount don the menu, Che snapped at me saying, “Yeah! I see iI!” Very snidely, aggressively snappingly. I, and my 2 guests all looked at each other very surprised. She then walked away. She brought back the corrected check. I paid and once I finished paying she said, again in the same snide snide loud voice, “yeah, have a good rest of your day.” I wish there was a way to give negative stars, because she was a negative experience. It was her mistake, I didn’t even say anything to the manager, which in hindsight, I should have. Poorly done Nobu and Savannah G. Very poorly done. Very disappointing indeed.

Fantastic experience at Nobu, the food was tantalizing delicious! We tried wagyu wontons, mushroom soup, the ribeye, the sirloin, spicy miso eggplant, a friend had a fish dish that was also outstanding .. we could have kept eating all night. The portions were just enough without being stuffed. We were limited on items that were fried because they use the same oil for shellfish as other fried items- that was the only downside to our experience. Drinks were also good!

We started on the rooftop but the table given to us was right next to the DJ on a Sunday late afternoon, Father's Day, and the hightop table with backless stools was terrible. Maybe call ahead and see if there is a DJ playing at the time of your reservation. Fortunately we were able to secure a reservation in the dining room 45 minutes later so just enjoyed a cocktail on the rooftop, it is a nice area but not if want to have a conversation or be comfortably seated which is unfortunate. The dining room was nice, the service was meh, though there are multiple people taking your order/clearing the table/bringing and describing the food. Expected a little bit better of an experience here.

The brunch is wonderful. All of their known favorites were on the menu such as: crisy rice sushi, rock shrimp, etc. A great selection and the dessert offerings were amazing.

I've now been to Nobu Chicago three times. Our most recent visit was for the Father’s Day Brunch, which we were really excited about — we love both sushi and brunch. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. While the sushi was high quality, the selection was underwhelming: standard nigiri options and basic rolls like salmon-avocado and tuna. Signature dishes like the miso cod and rock shrimp were disappointingly salty and never arrived hot — lukewarm at best. We’ve also tried lunch and dinner here, and while the dishes are consistently overpriced for what you get, those experiences were still better than the brunch buffet. Overall, you're better off seeking out other sushi or Japanese spots in the West Loop or across Chicago. Noise: The music is always blasting — more of a club vibe (think STK) than refined dining. Kids: We brought our 1- and 5-year-old. It's not kid-friendly (no high chairs, only boosters), but the staff did try to accommodate and provided plastic cups. Bottom line: After three visits, it’s a pass for us. Plenty of better options in the city
