   I eat sushi all over the world and I was blown away by the mediocrity and the paucity of the rolls and nigiri. Even the edamame were dry and tasteless. Frankly, I was stunned. At $200 per person they should by serving food that is over the top. Never again.

   Nobu does not disappoint. The food is exceptional and you cannot go wrong by ordering the Omakase 130 as your main meal. There is a variety of signature dishes that Nobu recommends and all were delicious. Also the Nobu Sidecar drink is good if you like bourbon with a twist. My favorite Japanese restaurant in all of Chicago

   Food was subpar for the price point, going for name value alone. Service was amazing, staff was polite and very helpful. Only a 2 star based off of the food.

   Overall great experience. Omakase 6 course is what we choose, and everything was delicious and outstanding. Would definitely revisit this place again.

   Great place and awesome service. Only slight disappointment is they don’t really have many impressive sushi rolls, all pretty standard except for the special roll. Need more ornate/exotic mega rolls, Spicy tuna roll was so shockingly basic.

   We had high expectations for Nobu Chicago, having dined at the NYC flagship several years ago. The dining room is beautiful, but service was inexplicably slow on a Tuesday night. Food was delicious and expertly presented, but did not feel like a good value; portions were unpredictable relative to price. A $58 tempura crab dish was the size of a small appetizer, and crispy rice and tuna was $10 a bite. Yes, it’s a luxury brand and haute cuisine, but the ambiance and food quality pales in comparison to Miru and other notable Japanese spots in Chicago. We wanted to love Nobu, but it did note live up to the reputation.
