Nobu Atlanta is situated at Phipps Plaza in the affluent Buckhead neighborhood. With influence from Atlanta's lush canopy of trees and Japanese arts and crafts, the bar and lounge area features a white onyx bar volume that sits in front of a 12-foot-long river rock art installation while folded cast glass pendants cast a soft glow on the bar. The dining room takes you to traditional Japanese garden pavilions that were often used for ceremonies and rituals while overscale pendants made from shoji paper create the look of elongated, abstracted paper lanterns. Design language that is a continuation of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's imaginative and innovative culinary offerings celebrates nature and is integrated through the use of different wood tones

    Unfortunately, the restaurant is so loud and our wait person spoke softly. Several times I would ask him to repeat himself because it was so loud. He continued to speak softly and so I did too so that he could not hear me. Then, after a cocktail, we ordered a bottle of wine with dinner. The wait person came back and said they were out of that selection. So I made a second choice. He then came back with another colleague and the wait person said, “I brought my colleague because it’s embarrassing to tell you we don’t have your second choice either. “ His colleague asked what our third choice would be. I said, “You only have 12 chardonnays listed and 2 are gone, why don’t you tell me what you have in stock. Of the 12 chardonnays on the list, they had only 3 of them in stock. All in all, the food was excellent as we have experienced in the previous 13 Nobu’s we have been to.

    I took my guy there for Father's Day. It was our first visit but will not be our last. We ordered the Spring Omikase Experience for him and it was EVERYTHING! He loved each course more and more. The service was top-notch, too.

    So much fun! Very underrated-should be a 4.8+ in OpenTable! The prime rib was some of the best I have ever tasted and the buffet quality outstanding. We will be back!
