Wedding proposal and it was perfect
Celebrated my wife's birthday with a party of 6 and had a great time! Everything went well. We ordered the clams, the Beet Wellington, the Cauliflower, and a few other items. The food was very good although the clams were a bit different. Normally, we really like them but we all thought they were okay - most likely just our taste preferences when it comes to how they are prepared. The service was very good but we were interrupted often in the beginning to see if we were ready to order, had we decided on anything, etc. I waited tables for years and understand being attentive but when there is a party of six, things are going to take time. 2 people in our party were 15 minutes late so maybe that had something to do with it. They were great with our son and made him buttered pasta which he said was off the scale good!!! thank you noble rot! we'll be back!
Went here for my husbands birthday and loved it. The food was delicious, the staff were so courteous and the atmosphere was romantic. Will definitely go back
Delicious and creative plates. A nice balance of casual and classy ambiance. Someone who grows ingredients on their roof gets a thumbs up from me. I would have preferred the noise level to be a notch lower.
This was our second time to Noble Rot. Service was very good... timely, knowledgeable and friendly. The pasta dish was very good but my wife's meal of steak and veg was extremely salty and couldn't eat all of it. We mentioned it to the staff. They were apologetic and comp'd desert. We will try it again.
Noble Rot is my favorite place to dine before going to see a show at Imago Theater or Bossanova Ballroom. There were 4 in our party and we all loved our meal. When reserving on Open Table I asked for a window table with a view and they obliged, and we had a spectacular view of the city. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable. It remains my favorite dining establishment in the neighborhood.
We had a great dinner! My husband had the special “rabbit”. He said it was decadent.
Noble Rot is one of our solid go-tos, especially when going out with friends. The food is artful, beautiful, inventive, fresh and seasonal -- their rooftop garden is a HUGE plus. The wine list is very impressive, with fun wine flights (the BEST Pinot Noir flight in town). The view is amazing, and the servers are very knowledgable, friendly and unpretentious. The price point is also reasonable. It feels very Portland, for anti-snobby foodies.
Fantastic Service!! The ambiance was great and the food was awesome. We brought a special bottle of wine to share with friends and felt very comfortable. I am vegetarian and the choices were great. I had the "Beet Wellington" and it had amazing layers of flavor. We cannot wait to go back. Also a great view.
Bland onion tart and the presentation was too. The pasta was unbalanced and under cooked. The pear dessert had crunchy unripe fruit. Such a beautiful place. Great service. But disappointing food.
Perfect prices for a fancy spot! Ive already recommended this to so many people.
Lovely evening celebrating new year eve with a friend!
My wife was interest in sampling a new restaurant and heard good things about the Noble. We where pleased with the food and service - both outstanding. We loved the atmosphere.
However, we were seated at one of the least desirable table in the restaurant. The table for 2 was located in the middle of the restaurant next to the matradee podium. The matradee is literally standing next to you as you eat and folks are always walking pass you. All the other tables for two are located next to a window so you have the worst real estate in the place but pay the same. It's cramped and you have very little room to move around. Your surrounded by servers and pinned against a nook. You see other two table seats and find yourself envying the view and real estate. I can't say enough how horrible that table for 2 is located. Call ahead and make sure you don't get this table. I think the lady said we were in table number 13 or something.
Absolutely blown away! The food, the service, the views Everything! Can’t wait to go back!!!
My first time there and it was a disappointment. My pasta was too rich to eat and was completely flavorless. I set it aside and the server walked by a number of times and never asked if there was a problem. I brought it home, rinsed the sauce off and fed it to my chickens. A friend ordered a hamburger medium and the server argued with her about it. When it came out it was medium rare and was sent back. Again, an argument. My sister's Beet Wellington was good.
With so many amazing restaurants in Portland, I feel no need to try again. Sad.
Excellent food, service, wine list. Nice view of the city from fourth floor. Comfortable seating. Great menu. Especially liked the wine flights, brussel sprouts, pasta of the day. Some ingredients are grown in house, pasta was made in house and you can tell.
Stopped in for fantastic dinner on our way to the airport. Even in the pouring rain, it was so warm, inviting. The service was not just great, it was superior to most. Food was very good. Highly recommend.
Our visit to Noble Rot was worth the drive into Portland. The location is hard with street parking only but on a Wednesday night not to bad. The food and drinks were great. The onion rings are excellent! Will be coming back for sure.
I have been to the Noble Rot a few times and it is always excellent. I once had the most delicious whole trout there, so I ordered it again recently. I was prepared different and less knock-out than the first, but it was still excellent. I appreciate that they use herbs and vegetables from their rooftop garden and that the menu is always seasonal, but always interesting. The wine selection was vast and lovely, the host helped us select a perfect medium bodied red that worked well with all of our selected dishes.
We have been coming to Noble Rot almost since it’s inception and it is still one of our favorite Portland restaurants. The menu is limited but delicious, the wine flights always fun, and the creme brûlée some of the best this side of France! I really appreciate that they have continued to offer staples that are some of my favorite menu items such as the paninis, the onion tart, and the creme brûlée and p, b and j dessert. Please never change these! Love this place!
Ordered two pasta dishes. Both had less pasta, more additional ingredients & not as imaginative as expected. Wedge salad was good, though there was lack of actual bleu cheese. Wine flight was a great suggestion. It's a bit cold near the windows this winter, and their heater is either full blast or off, keep your scarves handy if it's dinner. Our server, Harmony, was very friendly and available.
Our server was great! I love the interior design and the food!!!
We had our family Christmas dinner out here. Everbody including the teen-agers
thoroughly enjoyed it.
had been a few years since we had been to Noble Rot and it did not disappoint. Love the view of look at downtown.
The cost makes going a special event and not a frequent visit and I wish we could go more often.
I Took my boyfriend here for a low key birthday diner. The menu was a little smaller than I had hoped but the food was pretty good. The beef was ok, but the burger was outstanding. The homemade ice cream with salted Carmel was a 10! He loved the view too.
Very cool spot in NE. Lovely views of the city and good ambiance. Would - and will! - definitely go again.
Disappointing, schwarma was too salty and my beverage came in a glass with a lipstick mark on it
Had a wonderful birthday at Noble Rot!
I’m so glad I ate here. Awesome pork chop. Great Brussel sprouts. Thanks for an awesome meal.
The server did not know the wine list and our guest who has a peanut allergy was mistakenly server the wrong meal that contained peanut oil.
Food was good. Excellent wine list. Grear views. Nice to have booth seating.
Everything was creative, beautifully prepared and most memorably, stunningly flavorful.
Food was good, service was good. The only thing all y of us agreed on was that all of our dishes were too salty.
Food was great service was embarrassing!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent soup and the stuffed trout was fantastic.
The food was GREAT - some of the ingredients are grown on-site.
My Wife enjoyed the Wine Flight.
The complexity of flavors was beyond my expectations.
We enjoyed every culinary aspect of our visit - the view was wonderful - a great experience. It was the outstanding service (Harmony) who elevated this experience to a marvelous evening.
Awesome food, cool place.
What an amazing view right there on Burnside - who woulda thunk? Every part of the meal was excellent; great quality food, nice flavors, nice combinations.
Had been a long while since I ate a meal here, as the last few times I've had drinks, happy hour food, or left because of too long a wait. Monday night, not at all crowded, had a perfect booth with a great view, and the meal hit on all cylinders! Wife and I shared the Beet Wellington as an appetizer and it exploded with flavors. Same with her entree of Polenta stuffed Pepper. My fresh pasta dish was the best I've had--topped with Carlton Farms pork shoulder. Too full for dessert. Will be back soon.
The service was outstanding! But I was not crazy about food.
