I'm picky and critical. But I can only say awesome things about Noble Rot. The whole experience! Setting, service (thx Allison!), food, wine, value = excellent! And the tour of the roof top garden by Chef Joe was VERY special! Thank you all at Noble Rot!
Excellent food, great atmosphere. However, it was a little cold, since there was a draft coming from the entrance which had just a curtain.
Everything was very good except I received and email wondering why I didn't honor my reservations via opentable--but I did I was there about 15 min early.
For all the hype I was expecting more. The wine flights were a bit mediocre. The specialty cocktails were overdone. I ordered the ribs, which had a zesty barbecue sauce, but the sauce couldn't disguise how overdone and dry the ribs themselves were. The onion rings were spectacular-- the best part of the whole meal. The dessert list was spotty and uninteresting But the 4th of July fireworks were marvelous from the rooftop
Great view. Fun wine choices. Delicious burger. Lovely waitress.
The food was fair at best and very overpriced for the quality. The staff was very slow, so only go here if you don't have somewhere else to be.
What a pleasant surprise, as we were met right off with the friendliest staff. The evening got even better as the night went on. The drinks were unique and served with pride. The salads were fresh and tasty. Entrees were cooked to perfection. All four of us were impressed. I can not speak highly enough for the staff.
Booked reservations for 5 during my brother's stay. Had a great time with friend's/family. Patio seating was a plus.
The food was off the richter. The table, not in view of the sunset...which is kinda why we came @ 8:30p with a reservation. In hindsight it was a little less noisy on the bar side. Service was slow to start, but got better as the meal got underway. The food made up for the few shortcomings mentioned above, and the wine was outstanding! I'd recommend to anyone.
We both had the simple greens to start, which were tasty. For dinner, we had the tomato tart and the pasta special. The pasta was superb!
We had reservations, we were on time and our table was ready, the service was exceptionally good. Nice person and friendly. We had drinks, appetizers, and dinner. Eeverything was very nice, the view , the company, and Noble Rot
Our first time. Food was forgettable. Lamb was over done. Entire meal was over salted and took a long time to get considering that we were the first customers there. Enjoyed the wine flight. Evening was saved by the Noble Rot dessert wine flight. Superb. We won't be coming back, but we will buy your wine. Not the 10th anniversary celebration we were hoping for.
We got reservations easily a couple of days before. We sat at a splendid table with a city view. The server was quick and friendly, well informed and helpful. There was some noise but not so much that we couldn't talk at normal volume. The food was fantastic. Fresh, hot, flavorful and healthy. My tuna was fresh and served not too done, not cold. The watermelon that it came with was grilled quickly and it let the flavor out... Yum. The salmon was great according to the out of staters that were looking for the traditional faire and the lamb was delicious and juicy. The best part were all the vegetable. The salad was terrific. The outside was full and there was a general festive atmosphere. Not stuffy, not over the top snobby but definitely "foodies" would enjoy the evening.
Tables on the deck are very close together and when the windows are mostly closed, it's hard to hear one another without shouting--which means you are sharing your conversation with the very nearby tables.
The lamb was phenomenal. The rest was good, but expensive. Service was attentive, and the view was great.
Great happy hour but does fill up quick. Always make a reservation. Their moscow mules are top notch.
Great views over Portland. Their burger is super good -- one of the top in Portland for sure.
Impressive! The food was spectacular, actually. Their fresh greens from the rooftop garden gave it all that special final touch. My lamb chops were excellent and the various other dishes I sampled from others at the table were similarly compelling. Try the Peanut butter and Jelly dessert for a worthy coup de grâce. Oh my!
One of the best restaurants in Portland! We will definitely return, the sooner the better!
Went for a friends birthday this past weekend. From the food, wine, and the perfect summer evening on the patio with a view, the night was amazing! I'll be back with the husband for date night :-)
Farm to table at its finest!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant. The food overflows with abundant flavor. Likewise, the presentation never disappoints. Delectable art!!
We had eaten a late lunch and were looking for a small plate kind of meal. The meat plate AND the cheese plates were both to die for. The cocktails were really unique and delicious. Great views of Portland, and close to Voodoo Donuts Too.
The food was good and creative. The only lacking bit would have been to have more and as creative vegetarian options. The service was good. I come from San Diego, so I am used to a more friendly atmosphere, but it wasn't bad. The wine list is excellent. Their food creativity definitely extends to their dessert. It was delicious.
It was extremely noisy and the food, including the salad, was heavily salted. To be fair they did comp my salad, when I told them about the salt.
Quiet enough for good conversation but vibrant as well. Beautiful window views and amazing food. We comfortably sat for hours enjoying our meal.
Enjoyed our meal, service, and varied menu. Hamburger and salmon very good!
This was my fourth or fifth visit, and may be a small upgrade to my previous review.
We called ahead and requested a table on the balcony, and were warmly greeted and well cared-for. The food was excellent, the wine well-recommended, and the evening warm and beautiful.
It was also nice to be at a restaurant with a real cross-section of Portland. This is not stuffy, overly fancy, or stuck up. Nor is it unremittingly hipster or overly taken with itself. It is concerned with good food, good wine, and good service. Worth the time, in my estimation.
Hadn't been here in a few years and was not disappointed in the open atmosphere with a view and such incredible food. Had Salmon with pea shoots and porcini mushrooms - divine!
Had a fantastic dinner, good food, good service and good view! Waiter even drew us a map to his favorite wineries in the area we were going the next day.
Service was outstanding. Food was outstanding. Our server Keith was the best server we have ever had. I can't recommend this place enough.
This was our first time at this restaurant. We will definitely be back. Service was outstanding and the food, delicious with a lovely presentation.
Love the table wine at happy hour!
Great date spot. Reserve seating on the patio for a great sunset view.
We went for an early Mother's Day dinner. The service was truly professional and top notch. Our server was attentive without making us feel rushed. The wine and food were excellent. A really lovely dining experience.
We mistakenly made reservations for only 6 instead of for 8 like we had intended...well the host was gracious at accommodating for us. The ambiance was great, food was good and our host was amazing!
We had a nice table with a good view. Excellent service but a bit noisy for conversation. It was a Friday night. Food was quite good.
Brought my boyfriend here for a date, I had a reservation and they sat us outside on the patio. We were able to be there while the sun was up and while it was setting, the view was great. Food was also great, but I don't recommend the tarte. Drinks are very expensive and don't earn their price since they aren't very strong. To clarify, they aren't weak, but for $11+ they should be much stronger than they were. Our waitress had great timing for the food and drinks. Overall we really liked it and plan to come back again.
We loved it!
I've eaten at Noblerot 3 times in the last year. Love this place, the food is always great, and the service too. I will be back!
Fun funky vibe with great views of Portland. Interesting menu. Our choices were good but not great. Others might have been knockout. Limited wine menu. But overall it was a fun time. More atmosphere than cuisine.
the outside patio was MUCH smaller than I expected but I was able to get seated in my requested patio spot. the drinks were delicious, the cheese plate was awesome, and the service staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu items. will for sure be going back :)
