- Masks required upon entry.
- Be prepared for heat, sun and cold. We have western exposure and it can get hot during prime dining hours. Bring hats and sunglasses. And sweaters for later.
Noble Rot is an ecosystem. A glacial well hydrates the building and the 3000 sq foot garden on the roof. The vegetables grown there supply the restaurant. Since 2002, The Rot has educated, entertained and fed Portland. Local, national and international media have consistently praised our style. Noble Rot’s situation is unique and our view is extraordinary.

Open floor space with plenty of natural air flowing through big windows. Beautiful space, well lit, excellent food, excellent service. Highly recommend for date night.
Amazing ambience! Fantastic food!!
This is an artsy, vibe, enjoyable place. We loved it!
I booked my table 2 weeks in advance and I could not Get seated outside on the balcony overlooking the city. Instead they sat me inside on my date night and I had to sacrifice my chair so my dad could have the view of the city while I looked at the bar. My waiter had an attitude With my boyfriend and I. He literally rolled his eyes when we ordered our entrees. At the end of our dinner he over charged me $70. I had to dispute the charge with him and he put two charges on my credit card and told me three days later the incorrect charge will be taken off. The food was good but the service was lousy and I will not go back there again and I do not recommend this place to any of my friends and family.
I wanted to like this place so, so bad. Came here for a birthday dinner and was not seated outside on the deck, which is literally 3/4 of the reason I even made a reservation here. I understand that they just reopened, but maybe they should have done a mock trial with the staff. The service (mostly the server) was not at the level that a place like this should be at. Also not a very extensive, gluten free list. I wasn’t even able to remove the blue cheese from my salad either. Very strange. No offer of a free birthday treat either. Like I said, I wanted to like this place and support a woman owned business. Very disappointing.
Beautiful view and food was fantastic. Can't wait to go back.
The reason for the lower rating is because there was a table next to us that was SO loud, and they were obviously extremely drunk. We didn’t mind as much cause it was just dessert we were there for, but I would have been very disappointed to have a beautiful and delicious dining experience ruined due to obnoxious drunk people. I’m surprised they kept serving them and that the restaurant did nothing about the very obvious disruption to people around :( For instance, there were a really old couple sitting nearby and their entire ambience and meal was interrupted by drunk people talking about body parts and other annoying things. I don’t know, I would go back but definitely would be careful about noise stuff.
Great menu that changes frequently. Always excellent food
So happy to be back to Noble Rot! Great food and service as always.
Very nice date night! Delicious wine and Burrata to start follows by cocktails with halibut and the pork. Friendly service, gorgeous view! Can’t wait to visit again.
The food was great and the service was spot on. Definitely will recommend.
It was too cold to be seated outside. I specifically asked to be seated inside and we were put next to a giant open window.
Our favorite spot did not disappoint once again! So happy that it survived the pandemic! We had a lovely time with close friends and family and were treated like celebrities. We got engaged here in 2019 and return as often as we can. The food, drinks, personal service and ambiance can not be beat. Thank you one again Noble Rot and staff!
Delightful venue both inside and outside in nice weather
Amazing wine & food! Staff was as incredible as the view!
Such and amazing spot! Seating was smooth, had great servers and plenty of space between patrons!
Great food, ambiance and service. So happy to dine in again at NR!
Great service from experienced foodies, European meat plate, wonderful ambiance
As always, this is a great location for views. Some of the amazing view they've had over the past few years is now slightly blocked from new highrise buildings, but overall it's still an awesome place to tastes some wine, enjoy a patio and views.
It was great! We will be back soon.
Thank you for wonderful experience.
We've been to this restaurant many times, so it was really nice to join them on their second day of reopening. The staff are so nice and appreciative of the customers they serve. Oh yeah and the food is spectacular.
So happy to return to this lovely spot after so long. Service was too notch. The ladies working the room even brought us blankets for our legs for our table outside. We were pleased with all of our choices. Even the servers recommended items we were unsure of. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Best dining experience in over a year 😜
So good to see Noble Rot back, and surviving the pandemic. With so many venues closing up for good, I'm glad that some of the longstanding, high quality restaurants have survived. The Rot remains one of the best places, if not the best venue, for a glass or flight of wine. And my food was awesome, too. Will look forward to the bar coming back in service.
Wonderful! Beautiful place, come for sunset if you eat outside, bring sunglasses! Best staff, best food best drinks. Love
Relatively simple traditional fare perfectly prepared.
The waiters could’ve been more attentive we felt a little neglected.
We have already make reservations like days ago but when we arrived we still need to wait for the seats. On top of that, they finally gave us seating options and there’s this one is just right next to balcony door and it’s opened and it’s now Late Nov super windy and cold. The rains would blow in sometimes. So of course I chose another seats that’s in the middle of the hallway which is not as comfortable. Pretty disappointing but the food is good I gotta say.
Simply the best! Food, drinks, wine and SERVICE! All top notch. Noble Rot never disappoints.
Great ambiance. Easily can be a fun group dinner or a fancy intimate dinner. The bar and bar tender were amazing! Incredible cocktail suggestions off the menu.
Great place for wine or just dinner! Would definitely recommend.
Great food and wine! Very diligent about mask use and Covid precautions which is good, but can be a little cumbersome at times, but happy to comply to keep them open and everyone safe.
Birthday dinner out and the food was amazing. Staff were pretty nice, but very insistent on our putting masks on every time they came to the table. Pricey, so won't come as often as we would like.
The service was horrible.. it took over 30 minutes for us to even be able to put our order in because the waitress didn’t come to our table. When we finally did order, she threw the cheese board down and didn’t name anything on the plate. When we asked, she didn’t know then walked away. The entrees, specifically the butternut squash pasta and the steak, were very good. I was disappointed however that the restaurant prided themselves on the rooftop garden, but the public was not able to see the garden and there were very few ingredients on the menu actually used from it.
Staff and food were wonderful! The salad is my favorite in Portland. Drinks were delicious!
Fantastic food and cocktails, great wine pairings. And the most amazing view on the east side! One of the best spots for date night or a special occasion.
Beautiful place to eat, great views. Food was good.
Yummy food, great ambiance, pleasant server and beautiful view.
Great staff and so kind, love going here for special occasions! Their wine selection is delicious and the staff always makes food accommodations for my vegan diet.
Expect great food and wine and ambiance. Great place for date or special occasion.
10/10! Food, service, and ambiance were incredible. I can't wait to go back!
