   One of our favorite restaurants to go to when we are visiting PDX. Great food, including some produce grown right on the roof of the building where the restaurant is located. Fantastic patio dining area several stories up for when the weather permits sitting outside. A good wine list. And friendly, responsive staff.

   There were some minor problems with a couple of entrees, but these were quickly dealt with to our satisfaction. Every place has problems now and then in the heat of battle, but the true measure of a restaurant is how they deal with these. No complaints on the final results, which were delicious. Very enjoyable experience and we would not hesitate to return . . . would actually look forward to it.

    The service was second to none. Our waitress was outstanding in all regards. The only two things that bothered us were the cooked greens were so tough that my wife had to ask for a sharp steak know to cut through the stems. They need to be cooked much longer. My pork chop was outstanding but the prices were a bit steep. I don’t think my wife and I will return on a regular basis as we could eat out two to three time at other restaurants for the same amount of money. Noble Rot is competing with other eateries who pay much less for their real estate fees. It is probably why the prices are a bit spendy. The view and location are great and we were glad we got to eat there.

    FABULOUS Halibut and Lamb (I am not typically eating lamb). Well prepared and delicious. Top floor seating outside was nice. Nice wine list but premium priced. Great choice and would recommend!

    Food was great! Only 4 stars because I told the restaurant it was my son's birthday when I made the reservation. They told him happy birthday when we arrived but when we ordered dessert they didn't even put a candle in his dessert. As we were about to leave we saw the table next to us had a dessert with a candle in it. Disappointing.

    I celebrated my daughter’s 16th birthday and they really went out of their way to make our dinner a memorable experience. They handled her cake with all 16 candles effortlessly. They gave us a really great table with a fun view of the district. The service was excellent and we enjoyed our dinner. I really appreciated everything they did to make sure our celebration was one to remember.

    I had the Halibut for dinner. The dinner was excellent, however the Halibut was about 2.5 inches square and 1.5 inches thick for $40. This is by far the smallest piece of Halibut I have ever been served; used to at least two times as large at other fine restaurants.

    First time dining at the Noble Rot. Great atmosphere. Service was relaxed and professional. All the food was absolutely delicious and well prepared. The cocktail was perfectly balanced. Prices were about where I expected, not cheap and not overly inflated either. Definitely would return and recommend. Parking in the area is a bit hard to find so prepare to walk a few blocks.     Absolutely fabulous meal. The salads and entrees were excellent. Halibut was off the charts. Mac and Cheese with both bacon and jalapeño was a great pairing of flavors. Highly recommend for a great dining experience.

    We came here to celebrate a birthday and it was wonderful- except that the birthday was not acknowledged and we were seated at a freestanding table in the middle of the dining room. The table was fine for the birthday boy as he had the view, but it was not my favorite. All that being said the meal and service was simply Spectacular!

    It was my husband’s 50th birthday, and upon request they seated us by a window with a gorgeous view. Our server was attentive, kind, and brought out a candle on the dessert we shared. Beautiful restaurant with a unique menu that had us salivating after each course. The specialty cocktails and wine menu were also superb. Would 100% return and recommend.

    We are senior citizens and were offered a quiet seat in a corner, which we appreciated. The restaurant was livelier closer to the beautiful view windows on a Wednesday night. My halibut was nicely spiced and cooked perfectly, remaining moist and flaky. I also had an excellent Noble salad. My husband had a chickpea, sunchoke panisse which was very flavorful. He also had a spicy carrot-beet soup, which was delicious. Simpler fare is also available.
