Great food, great service. Nice food combinations. Will definitely return.
I took a friend there last night for dinner. We enjoyed everything about the place the staff were amazing and the food very satisfying.
Lovely view table. Excellent service our out of town guests enjoyed the upbeat ambiance.
Took my husband for his birthday. Came highly recommended by some Portland foody friends of ours. Everything we had was wonderful.
Okay so everything was seriously so great. I also love the way the restaurant is decorated! I can’t wait to experience it in nicer weather (:
Noble Rot has always been a favorite, but this last visit was the most disappointing.
Selections were more limited, and our server was repeatedly unable to accommodate my dinner guest's requests (his first time at NR).
Hopefully just a fluke. Usually love this place.
My sisters and I had a wonderful time at Noble Rot. The food was delicious! The host was very accommodating and put us in a back corner where it would be quieter and more private.
We had a wonderful experience at Noble Rot. Our server David was outstanding and the food was delicious. The view is awesome as well. We will be back!
Great location, amazing view from the garden room, great food and drinks. Happy Hour is an awesome value!
Overall, we had a nice meal at Noble Rot. The menu is interesting and most dishes we ordered were delicious; the roasted harissa vegetables were not as good as everything else. My one disappointment was that although the dining room had many open tables, we were seated right next to a group of 20 - making it very hard to hear among our smaller group of four.
What a cute restaurant with a nice city view and fireplace. The service and wine was amazing but the food not so much. Unsure if it was just an off night or not but for $35 a plate I expected better...way better. I was completely underwhelmed with the food. Not only was it luke warm, some of the potato were under cooked and the meal lacked flavor.
The view was the best part of the experience.
Unfortunately, the service felt like we were a huge bother. The server clearly was not interested in our questions and seemed to be doing the bare minimum.
The food was just okay. Considering thisbolace had such high reviews I was hoping for some "wow" dishes. But that never came.
We used to come here often and I don’t know what happens in the last 6-12 months. ): Extremely loud, large group should have been put in the party area. Waited 30 minutes to order after we decided to stay but move to a quieter area. Then order was wrong and we waited again for order desserts. Maybe it’s just a summer place?! );
On a Monday night we were seeking a special place for my parents’ last night visiting Portland. After fleeing a Tusk reservations because it was insanely loud, a quick search led us to Noble Rot. The room, ambiance, and attentive staff delighted all of us. Cocktails were a bullseye, and of course wine selections are a feature here.
Apps were very solid: a wild mushroom appetizer was perfect, and the octopus was well grilled and flavored. (One misstep: the onion rings were too greasy and batter lacked flavor)
Mains were super especially the scallops.
Staff were super friendly and attentive.
Great spot - we’ll return soon.
My partner surprised proposed to me at dinner on Wednesday with her parents. We received a clapping ovation from the staff and patrons when I said yes! What a memorable night!
The people were super nice and food was excellent .
Great atmosphere with a wonderful view and delicious food and drink. Highly recommend for a fancier night out.
Been here a few times. Food is delicious and the view of the city is great. Overall awesome experience.
The ambiance of the dining room was lovely with city views. The food was inventive and delicious
The food at Noble Rot has always been consistently amazing, so that's why we chose this venue to celebrate my son's sweet 16th birthday. And I thought that the rooftop ambiance would be such a beautiful backdrop for celebration. However, it was like any other dinner...there was no significance that set this venue a part from any other to celebrate such a huge milestone. We'll have to give the next celebration's venue more thought...but we always appreciate the server's hard work and attention. Thank you!
Had a fabulous experience in august, but the food was so unbelievably bad last night that we asked if they had a new chef. Yes, the server said. What a pity. The food was pure glop and slop. We will not go back. Apparently other customers feel the same way. The restaurant was half empty on a Friday night. Avoid like the plague.
Great meal before Cher Concert! Sat near window, attentive service sensitive to our time boundary, and very good flights of wines so we could pick one we wanted with food, which was attractive, tasty and appropriate portion.
Wonderful atmosphere, friendly service. Went with my girlfriends and we had a blast.
Fantastic seasonal fare, creative cocktails, and impressive wine list. Our server worked with our group's dietary restrictions to create a wonderful meal.
A stop at Noble Rot is an absolute must if you are visiting the Portland area.
They made a cake for my boyfriend for his birthday which was a nice touch as we’re vacationing from out of town. The writing on the cake wasn’t the greatest, but the flavors, dinner and service made up for it.
Great food, great ambiance, and great view! Would absolutely go back and recommend.
Cauliflower burnt. Pork shoulder was good. Food was so so for me.
Great food and service. Atmosphere pleasing and a quieter dining than most places.
Incredible food, wine, view and service. LOVED IT!
I had an excellent meal there this past Thursday evening. I am mostly vegetarian and every appetizer on the menu is vegetarian friendly. We started with their wild mushroom dish with a poached egg on top which was fantastic and very flavorful. A great fall dish. My girlfriend had the special pasta dish which was excellent and I had their vegetarian entrée which was chickpeas three ways along with heirloom beets and carrots. It was very flavorful. The most memorable wines were the Austrian dry Riesling and local Nebbiolo. I can’t wait to go back again to try some other menu options. Josh the bartender is top-notch and very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines.
Excellent service and great menu
The ambiance and food are fabulous. This is one of our "special occasion" places and we will return. It does get noisy, quite noisy, so we all had sore throats from talking with each other. And, the tab was significant. But, we knew what we were getting and the evening was well worth it for our special occasion.
Truly a wonderful dining experience, highly recommend.
Didn’t live up to the hype and definitely would not recommend. The lamb was dry and not worth half The price they are asking for
The service was amazing the food was awesome! We had 4 people and everyone was very impressed with their dish! The one thing I would change if I could is more room at the table we were seated in a very small table in a very crowded corner it was beautiful but noisy and squished.
Wonderful food and superb wine. Best albarino I've ever had...by the glass! Only caveat is the high noise level...make sure you're sitting next to the person you most want to talk to.
From the moment our party walked 7:45 pm in we felt like the restaurant just want to get us out so they could close up. Food was average at best except for the onion rings that were fantastic. Waiter had no personality and struggled to explain anything on the menu.
Thank you again for the wonderful time! This is our go to birthday spot!
Overall it's a great restaurant, but I think we may have caught them on a bad night. We had a reservation for 7pm and didn't get seated until almost 730. Once seated, it took at least ten minutes before anyone stopped by. However, the food and vibe was exceptional.
