Excellent food. Roasted cauliflower dish was amazing! Nothing over salted.
Beautiful view and wonderful food. All you could want in a great dining experience. A new favorite.
Delicious pork medallions, burgers, and even great options for the vegetarian in our family! We saw a sunset over the urban view from the rooftop.
Imaginative food, presented with style on a lovely patio. Who could ask for more?
Amazing views of the city. Excellent cocktails and fantastic wine flights. The vegetarian pasta daily special it was really delicious. This particular night the service left something to be desired but in general it is really pretty good.
We had reservations for five people for an early Mother's Day dinner. Initially we were seated inside, but the hostess accommodated the request by the mom's to be seated on the patio. We had cocktails, a bottle of wine and a couple of Rose flights. The food was great, the service was great and we all had a great time.
We have loved Noble Rot for years, and it's one of our go-to's for a special occasion dinner or get-together with friends. The view, ambience, and inventive menu (including wine list) are always an attraction, as are the uniquely fresh salad greens and herbs in-season, when the rooftop garden is producing. This latest visit reinforced all of those charms. Same for the great level of service. Our only complaint this trip was that the value equation seems to have slipped a bit. One of our $34 entrees was the size of an appetizer, small enough that we ordered one more dish to flesh out our meal and sate our appetites. Don't get me wrong - each of the dishes we had was delicious! But would like to see a return to somewhat better value-for-money that we have come to expect from past experience.
Great view on the deck. Warm weather, warm friendly servers. Lots of choices on the menu.
Always such a fun place! Fantastic food and drinks and all staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
The service was not what we were expecting. We don't know our servers name, did not communicate with what was happening, and was not very warm. We brought wine and felt very rushed. The food was great, the place was nice but we did not feel very welcomed.
We were early, so the noise level was very low. Nice people and tasty food.
Beautiful view from the roof top patio. The food was dynamite, great wine list and delicious cocktails. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable.
We had a lovely evening at Nobel Rot. There were 8 of us and eeryone enjoyed their food. I started with the Leek, mushroom crispy, not doughy). The rest of our party also loved their food choices.
It was a late dinner (after a school performance) so by the time we ordered, we practically had the back room to ourselveves. Gorgeous view (suggest installing mirrors on the wall so everyone at the table can enjoy to view). Service was great. Highly recommend.
Food was good. Our server knew nothing about the wine we ordered and just started reading the label off the bottle. It's never a good sign when I know more about a wine than the server. Ironic with the name Noble Rot...
The host and the server(s) were so nice, accommodating, and receptive!
Our waitress regularly forgot about our table and most of our party found their entrees under-seasoned and dry. Appetizers were great, but the overall experience was overly expensive and disappointing.
I enjoyed my meal and the experience, but was surprised my bill was $100 for a couple of salads and a burger that were certainly not life changing.
It was 6:30 on a Friday night. Service was excellent, food was excellent. We love the main room, but were seated in the former rooftop bar area, every table in that section was filled and it was unbelievably loud.
We were sitting across from each other at a two-top and could barely hear each other talk. We could barely hear the waitress when she explained part of the menu. OpenTable has the label "energetic" but this was several levels above that. It's the concrete and glass in the room, sound bounces all over the place and it was very annoying a few times until most tables got their food and people started eating and not trying to be heard by their dinner partners. That said, we will have a seat at the counter next time we come because we really do like this place!
Great meal and service! Terrific Oregon pinit
tasty portland style cuisine, hip decor, cool location. great 4 any event
Very pleasant great food and service. We were visiting from out of town
Food was delicious. The drinks were very unique and great. Our group really enjoyed our time at Noble Rot.
we have been going to Noble rot since they opened on Ankeny. They have a consistent winning formula of broad range of entrees and excellent wine list. The cocktail creations are very delicious and worth the prices.
I was there earlier in the week and had an amazing burger. I convinced a group of friends to come try it and the burger was over cooked, they forgot the bacon and the fries were under cooked. Rather disappointing given the $18 price tag and the fact that I know what it should have tasted like given my amazing experience earlier in the week.
Steak was tough, halibut was tasty except for the broth in which it was served like soup; too loud; drinks were over priced - mezcal and cranberry juice was $13; disappointed overall
Great drinks, little slow on service but friendly, nice being able to talk to each other and not have to shout over music.
Views out to city capped great service, wine selection of interesting flights that paired thoughtfully with the salads and entries. Halibut and yellow tail tuna were both superb. such a memorable, romantic place.
Our server, Lauren is first rate. You have a real asset in Lauren.
We enjoyed an overall splendid experience , and will return.

Wonderful location overlooking the city. A good bar, comfortable seating, and friendly staff. Or good was prepared perfectly and delicious. Noble Rot is a gem for a good dinner
Noble Rot is always a great place for dinner meeting. This time we were set at a communal table which was uncomfortable to say the least. Our waiter was highly questionable. When asked whether Steelhead was a trout or salmon; he said salmon. We looked it up; its a trout. We asked fir more potato chips for out beef tartare, he said the chef only makes perfect portions to coordinate with each plate of tartare & offered bread. Who offers bread with tartare? Anyway we had a potato chip discussion with him straight out of Portlandia. He will obviously needs some education in food knowledge & service. We have laughed about this for several days
Great view, good cocktails. Food was average at best!
We came here for our birthday dinner. I loved the food and the wine list. Our waitress did not attend to our table often which made it hard to order drinks and food. Overall though it was a wonderful evening.
Great spot. Noise level was great that we didn’t have to whisper to avoid easdripping. Food was delicious and atmosphere allowed easy conversations.
While they have a very limited menu selection, what they do serve is great. I wish I could say the same thing about the service, as we waited quite a while to get drinks, to order food and to order dessert. As we were a group of 6 a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill, but the service was not nearly at a 20% level.
Food was great, however their was lipstick on one of our wine glasses, which they swiftly and kindly replaced. We also had a hair on our bread plate, however the food was great and the service was quick and friendly.
We do love the food, but this is the 2nd time we got a ginormous table for the 5 of us. We barely could have a conversation withe group It was like a game of telephone.....
There were the round booths that would have been perfect, but they had 2 tops on them.
We LOVED it!! It was a wonderful ambience, we learned a lot about the wine that is served there, and the waiter was invested and caring the whole night. A really great place for a PDX date night.
From the appetizers through dessert, everything was delicious and well presented. It got a bit loud in the area we were sitting but views were lovely. Parking a bit difficult, but...Portland. Well worth visiting. Great happy hour as well. Can’t wait to return.
Service was lovely, the ambiance was delightful. The steak was good, as was the fish, although the pea puree didn't do much to contribute to the plate. The dessert was delicious, both the apple crisp and the lemon dessert. A bit too sweet for my palate, but nicely balanced with the ice cream. The server was very knowledgeable about wine parings, for which we were very grateful.
