Noble Ratings and Reviews
We had a lovely time at dinner and stayed almost 3 hours. One of our friends had special requests for his food and the restaurant was very accommodating. I do not know the name of the waiter (someone else took the bill) but he was very helpful, polite and friendly. We would go to Noble again!
We've been regulars at Escabeche at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Niagara on the Lake, and were curious to see if it had changed with the new name: Nobel. Turns out the chef and the menu have been the same for several years; they simply decided that the new name better reflects the farm-to-table cuisine. As always, it was outstanding. We had the tasting menu with the to-die for foie gras, braised lamb shank, a creative dessert with about 5 components. Excellent wines pared with each course. The service was excellent, and over all it was a great dinner. I expect that we'll be back again, often.
Attended Noble for evening dinner on Sunday November 19th while visiting the Prince of Wales hotel.
Food was simply amazing. Perfect portions, well presented, well timed and the staff were genuine in thier conversation with us and very attentive.
Could not have had a better evening.
Highly recommend Noble.
A great choice for dinner to start a long weekend respite. Wayne, our server, was the perfect blend of cordial and professional. Food was all well prepared and beautifully presented. There was a nice pace between courses. Will definitely consider coming back here next time we visit NOTL.
The food was below expectations. The worst meal we had during our 5 day stay in NOTL. We dined at comparable restaurants during our stay and the quality of the meal at Noble was nowhere near the quality or taste of the meals we had everywhere else. Will never return to the Noble. What a disappointment!!
Very lovely restaurant, fun wait staff, delicious food. It was very busy when we went so hard to hear each other but shows how well Noble is liked. The only issue (outside of the actual restaurant experience) was that we tried calling by phone several times and did not get a call back until 3 days later. Some people do not have computers.
I would recommend this restaurant. The ambiance and service were exceptional. My wife's meal (whose birthday it was) was wonderful. My meal, which was a striploin, was quite good but was not very tender. For the price, it should have been better. The experience is one we will always remember and, although good, the meals were not a good value for the amount charged
The food at the resteraunt, was as always, very good. The environment is immaculate and the service is usually stunning. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the resteraunt t had a full compliment of new staff and the service was border line intolerable. Our food was not prepared to our liking, the staff wasn't helpful and the resteraunt was late on our reservation by almost 15 minutes.
Wonderful, fabulous place to dine if you can afford it. We have eaten here a couple of times for special occasions and always found the service second to none, and the food exquisitely prepared and presented.
We would highly recommend - make sure you plan for at least 2 hrs to fully enjoy the experience.
Noble is located in the fantasticaly traditional Prince of Wales hotel. The restaurant and the hotel is literally in a time-warp, and is a throwback to the 50's and 60's. The hotel decor looks and feels like it hasn't been altered in years and years - creating a unique feel.
Unfortunately, the menu at Noble feel's as if it hasn't been updated since the 1970's....which is not a good thing. It feels stuffy and the cooking style and presentation remind me of having dinner at my grandparent's house many, many, many years ago. The cooking and presentation feel like they have ignored any development in presentation or cooking methods for the past 50 years. If you want a meal from the 70's, this is your place. If not, then I suggest you look elsewhere.
For dinner it is very good, for breakfast it's hit & miss.
Ask to be seated in Gerrard's section he is one of the best servers I have ever encountered.
Tasting menu is generous portions. Accompanying wines are good for the most part.
Breakfast has issues with service.
Very elegant. Thought it would be busier at lunch time, prior to the 2 PM matinee at the Shaw Festival Theatre, but there were only 3 other tables filled while we were dining. Overall, a very pleasant experience. We had never dined at the Prince of Wales, so we were pleasantly surprised.
We were there for a birthday celebration. This restaurant is in an excellent location right downtown. There seems to be adequate parking although we were there on a Sunday evening. I would recommend a reservation. The staff were all very friendly and accomplished. Our server, Wayne, had an excellent knowledge of the menu and explained each dish as it arrived. The service was excellent and unobtrusive. For us, we found the menu a bit limiting and we decided what to have by eliminating what we didn't want vs trying to decide between several things we really wanted We ended up splitting the 20 oz steak which we ordered medium rare and got medium to well done (still tasted very good). Lots of great deserts to finish off the meal. The wine list is extensive and seems to be priced properly. We would go again
After discovering 3 different pieces of fibres resembling hair, my partner finally mentioned it to me and I had to call a manager over as our server was nowhere to be seen. The manager was apologetic and brought us a new dish, & told us that there was no charge for the meal... which was nice but our server Lily was not qualified to work there and they should review their hiring and training policy's
1 hour to receive the first course, 2 hours to receive the second course, no explanations or apologies until bill time at hour 3. Apparently there were a couple of weddings that evening which caused the kitchen to ignore the restaurant customers. The restaurant was about 30% full so no shortage of wait staff. Food was good but not worth the aggravation. Disappointing for a "Flagship" restaurant. Will not return.
