The atmosphere, service, and food were exceptional! We couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon. The Christmas decorations were truly spectacular!
Thought it was great. Food was amazing. Decor was ok. Only downside is was asked what occasion are we dining for which was a 50th Birthday and no special service or extras.
Food was bland. Menu needs more current options.
Service was supreme.
Beer was good.
Dinner environment is too noisy. Not enough waiters/waitresses for a 5-star restaurant and they come less attentive to the guests needs. For examples, missing spoon for the pasta we ordered, wine glasses not taken away as we did not order any wine. Extremely salty for side vegetables. Quite disappointed that we had to wait for 40 mins for the first food item to arrive.
Overall quality of service and food for such a 5 star establishment is very disappointing. We have been to other hotels in the Vintage group, such as Millcroft Inn. The restaurants' service and food were equally disappointing. Staff are not trained properly to serve, such as utensil and wine glasses placement.
My fish dish was a diseppointment ... our waiter made up for the bad food . The beef that my husband had was much better so it’s really about what you order .
There's nothing more lovely than experiencing Niagara on the Lake's beautiful fall colours, wineries and of course the iconic Prince of Wales Hotel. This time we chose to dine in their Noble Restaurant even though we normally come to enjoy the afternoon high tea in early November. We found that their unique menu selection for Fabulicious stood out among the rest so we decided to go there for lunch. The Irish Boxty was even better than we could have ever imagined! It was absolutely delicious and along side we enjoyed warm breads. local wine and a tasty salad followed by a delectable pumpkin dessert!! What a great fall day!
We came for a nice lunch. While the food was good, ambience lovely, service was slow. While our server was nice, he was too you to serve drinks so we waited a long time for our drinks, even longer for food. We each ordered an appetizer and an entiree. Waiting, waiting. And waiting and then appetizer and entree served at the same time French fries were cold. At a place like Noble you expect and deserve better service. What would they do if they were busy?
Food was delicious. Our server Cathy was phenomenal. Very attentive without being overbearing. Would definitely recommend to friends.
We loved the food, service, and ambiance. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.
Overpriced for subpar food and service. Clams were full of sand. Bass was sitting in piddle of tasteless juice. Green vegetable was also sumberged in the puddle. Size if the piece of fish was jokingly small. Service was terrible waited forever for my meal or water or anything ended being a 2.5 hr meal. Would never eat here again. Went back to room and ordered onion rings because I was still hungry. You DO NOT get what ypu pay for here
The food and service was exceptional. There was a fair time between courses however we appreciated that it wasn't a rushed meal. Will definitely come back again.
The staff was very accommodating to our food allergies and the food was great. There was a bit of a problem with the bill (unordered item on it) but they fixed that promptly. We've enjoyed Noble before and will go back again.
Our server was great, friendly, helpful and very accomodating.
My meal which was the Prime Rib was disappointing, loved the veg, but the beef was dry and tasteless, the server did bring me some jus to try and help with that, but to no avail. For the price of that meal the beef should have been perfect. It was cooked to the right order (medium rare), but still dry and not at all appetizing.
The atmosphere was very good and the service was pleasant but not spectacular. It was good value for the money and we will definitely return again.
I made these reservations months ago for our one year anniversary. I asked for a special table and noted the occasion. We did not receive anything special. The food was very disappointing especially for how expensive. The service was slow and staff not friendly. I would never recommend nor return to this restaurant.
Our nearly 3 hr.(!) ‘dining experience-ordeal’ was a giant disappointment. Upon arrival the hostess told us we had to wait (we had reservations) in the foyer, so my husband asked if there was a bar- could we at least get a drink & wait there. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no room in the bar area so we went back out & waited in the foyer. As we were seated about 5 minutes later, it seemed odd that we even had to wait because there were clearly many open tables. Water glasses were filled, then the waiter came over after about 5 mins., took cocktail order. We did not receive our drinks for at least 20 mins. The rest of the evening followed a similar pattern- WAITING, WAITING...everything took a ridiculous, unacceptable time to arrive. The waiter walked by our empty glasses numerous times, never stopping to ask if we needed anything. My appetizer soup was barely warm, my husbands steak was filled w/ grizzle. There were other diners around us clearly experiencing issues around long waits for service (one couple, after waiting forever to get their wine, then more waiting for food, finally asked for their check and left. Another group was given an incorrect check which had to be sorted out. The whole scene demonstrated a painfully obvious breakdown in organization and a lack of coordination between the front & back of the House. I can’t tell you how disappointed we were that our anticipated special night out turned into a frustrating waiting game for an only marginal dinner. A serious look at how & why so much could go wrong is strongly suggested if The Noble ‘s reputation is valued.
Waited for over 1 hour 20 mins for our meal only to watch many people who came in after us get their meals. Obviously the waiter forgot to put our order in. Horrible service with not much of an apology.
I booked the dining room by mistake and asked the server twice to informthe dining room that we would be sitting in the bar area. The staff did not communicate the change. I apologize on their behalf.
We were celebrating a friends birthday and our friends also came with us for dinner so that they could see the large glass seasonal panels that I had just completed for the Noble Restaurant. We had a fabulous dinner, and great service from our waiter Wayne. Thank you!
Amazing service and awesome food
Kafil was awesome. Personable attentive and exceptional
We reserved here before a show at the Shaw Theatre. Service was attentive, but food came out slowly - suggest booking at least 90 minutes before an 8 PM show.
The trout was excellent and well prepared, the lamb shoulder pasta was well put together but not very heavy on the lamb, and the prime rib was prepared in such a way that it looked more like a filet - first attempt overcooked, second was better.
We've had high tea at Prince of Wales before, would recommend that over dinner at Noble.
Very nice restaurant. Service was excellent. Wine suggestion no the greatest but overall wxperience lovely
The decor in the Prince of Wales Hotel is amazing, but the service for those checking in or out was slow. We observed the a staff supervisor (?) working on her computer while a single staff member had to attend to a very long check out line by her self. Very chaotic and unorganized system. When we checked on our lunch reservations at 11:50 am, we were told that the restaurant would OPEN at noon and Mary would come to get us so we were to wait in the lobby. Well at 12:10 we finally went back into the restaurant and Mary was too overwhelmed to come alert us that we could be seated. Like I said the decor is uniquely decorated with 19th century furnishings and very ornate, beautiful and amazing, other than that the service leaves a lot to be desired.
Another magical evening at Niagara-on-the-Lake's finest dining establishment. The setting is perfect, the service is outstanding (Gerry), the cuisine is superb, the ambience is unequaled in NOTL, and we will be back whenever we are in town.
The restaurant is lovely and usually the food is excellent. This time I ordered prime rib and the meat was a little tough. The service is always excellent and the ambiance is lovely.
The appetizers and the wine were very good, as was the bread. The main course, which was a vegan selection, was below average in my opinion. It was a simple dish of bean and vegetables in a tomato sauce. A dish I've made my self many times in the past. Sorry but for $36 I expect a dish that is unique with a complex flavor profile. I expect a dish to be elevated like you would find in AGO Bistro or Raw Aura. To me, the vegan option felt like an after thought, and the chef put zero effort into it.
We live in the area and went here to celebrate a special occasion because our favorite restaurant was not available. Had a nice table with a view of the street but a long wait (30 minutes) before the waiter got to our table. Two of the party of three ordered an appetizer. The mussels were prepared well with a tasty sauce and there was more than enough to eat. The Romaine Hearts salad had mostly large green outside leaves and did not look like the typical "hearts". We all decided to have the Braised Canadian Lamb Shoulder, which was a big disappointment. It was all pasta with less than a spoonful of lamb meat. We mentioned this to the waitress who agreed and took it back to the kitchen. One of the better looking plates was brought back by a person who might have been the "manager". We were stunned not to hear a word of apology or any type of recognition of our dissatisfaction. Although our waitress seemed disappointed that we did not stay to have desert which she said she would have "bought"us, we left.
There are better places around NOTL and the Niagara region. No, I do not recommend thid place and will not go back. We have been to Noble in the past several times but things seem to have changed.
My server, Kafil, was extremely knowledgeable and attentive.
Recommend for any event any time the venue is perfect any time of year and for children as well
If you are looking for quality and not quantity dining, then this is the perfect spot. Server was friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
We had a nice dinner at this restaurant. We had eaten here before and this time we had a different experience. I ordered the chicken, which I was told would take 1/2 hour to cook. I agreed that that would be okay. It took closer to an hour to get dinner. They had a long time between our salads and dinner and we still had to ask for silverware when our dinner came. I ordered an iced tea when he took the drink order, and I didn't get it also for about 1/2 hour into the experience. We will go back, because we love the Prince of Wales hotel, but it wasn't a great experience, although the food was delicous.
We were there for breakfast and the food was amazingly delicious. Food portion was big enough for one person. I really enjoyed the ambience and the food there. Would definitely go there again.
Despite a reservation we had to wait and directed to the lobby until we were called. Not once was I reassured a table would soon be available. Only when I reapproached the hostess to ask if we were soon to be seated were we acknowledged. Once seated service was slow. Coffee drips on tablecloth by server were not attended to, just an extra napkin to cover would have been fine.
I was hostessing my friend, we had tickets for the Shaw. I spent the early part of our time agitated over the seemingly continual delays, worrying we might be late.
We did however very much enjoy the meals we ordered.
This restaurant is a gem in Niagara on the Lake. We always book our dinner package to include dinner at Noble. They have a fabulous selection of Niagara Region wines and every effort is made to have farm to table meals. The dishes are unique and the staff is more than accommodating !
Food and service were excellent. Only issue is that, even though we made it clear on a number of occasions that we were going to a play and had limited time, it took 45 minutes to get our entrée. We had 20 minutes to eat dinner and dessert. The meal was too good to rush (yet we had no choice) and as it was, we missed the first 10 minutes of the play. Not cool, kitchen.
Absolutely gorgeous setting. Great value for money. Very generous meal portions at reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
Good food, nicely presented, excellent service. Flies buzzing around was quite the nuisance.
This was my first time dining at Noble. The atmosphere was great. Our servers were pleasant and informative regarding our selection questions. The food was well presented and served in appropriate timelines. We did not feel rushed nor did we feel we had to wait for our selections to arrive. In all we were there for 3 hours and the time seemed to fly by. If there was a negative, I'd say that the cost was a bit on the high side compared to similar dishes at other establishments that I've been to. As they say though, you get what you pay for and clearly the ambiance was above the norm and formed a big part of the experience. The washrooms were neat and clean but quite small which likely had something to do with the age of the building and space allocation. Overall, everything in Niagara-on-the-Lake is pricey and I suspect that most people visiting this lovely community come to expect that and factor that in to the cost of coming here.
The chicken and waffles were so good , a nice glass of rosé and great service!
