Despite a reservation we had to wait and directed to the lobby until we were called. Not once was I reassured a table would soon be available. Only when I reapproached the hostess to ask if we were soon to be seated were we acknowledged. Once seated service was slow. Coffee drips on tablecloth by server were not attended to, just an extra napkin to cover would have been fine.
I was hostessing my friend, we had tickets for the Shaw. I spent the early part of our time agitated over the seemingly continual delays, worrying we might be late.
We did however very much enjoy the meals we ordered.
This restaurant is a gem in Niagara on the Lake. We always book our dinner package to include dinner at Noble. They have a fabulous selection of Niagara Region wines and every effort is made to have farm to table meals. The dishes are unique and the staff is more than accommodating !
Food and service were excellent. Only issue is that, even though we made it clear on a number of occasions that we were going to a play and had limited time, it took 45 minutes to get our entrée. We had 20 minutes to eat dinner and dessert. The meal was too good to rush (yet we had no choice) and as it was, we missed the first 10 minutes of the play. Not cool, kitchen.
Absolutely gorgeous setting. Great value for money. Very generous meal portions at reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
Good food, nicely presented, excellent service. Flies buzzing around was quite the nuisance.
This was my first time dining at Noble. The atmosphere was great. Our servers were pleasant and informative regarding our selection questions. The food was well presented and served in appropriate timelines. We did not feel rushed nor did we feel we had to wait for our selections to arrive. In all we were there for 3 hours and the time seemed to fly by. If there was a negative, I'd say that the cost was a bit on the high side compared to similar dishes at other establishments that I've been to. As they say though, you get what you pay for and clearly the ambiance was above the norm and formed a big part of the experience. The washrooms were neat and clean but quite small which likely had something to do with the age of the building and space allocation. Overall, everything in Niagara-on-the-Lake is pricey and I suspect that most people visiting this lovely community come to expect that and factor that in to the cost of coming here.
The chicken and waffles were so good , a nice glass of rosé and great service!
Beautiful setting in NOTL! We celebrated mom’s birthday by staying at the Prince of Wales Hotel and stayed for breakfast. So glad we did! Great food and the service was perfect. Pancakes and eggs Benedict were amazing.
Signature steak worth.
Excellent service, fab location.
Floor was dirty. Waffles were thin like paper. Poutine was dry and presentation was note appealing.
Our waiter was very efficient, patient and obliging. For our friend's birthday, on the QT he brought a dessert and the surprise worked perfectly. My trout was amazing. We had a lovely evening. Thank you.
An Anniversary lunch before the matinee - ambience perfect! Not an extensive lunch menu, but covers most tastes. (one of us had the `Taste of Italy` pasta plate, the other the Haddock Sandwich, with fresh side salads.) Delicious and creatively presented. Staff attentive and courteous. Wine list covers the bases, with enough reasonably priced selections. Will return.
Totally enjoyed a wonderful breakfast---would definitely go back and recommend to many
FABULOUS---best steak ever and enough to share for 2---Service Was EXCELLENT as well!!!
Our Bridal shower breakfast was delicious, your staff was very friendly, and accommodating. Would go again in a heartbeat💕
Very slow and inattentive service before theatre. Food uneven. Kitchen very slow. Can’t be a surprise that we’re one block from 2 or perhaps 3 theatres!
The food was decent but the braised lamb shoulder dish consisted more of pasta than lamb, while the chicken dish was under-seasoned and very pedestrian. The wine had a substantial amount of sediment on the side of the bottle, which is not unusual for an old Bordeaux but one would expect a knowledgeable sommelier would pour the wine away from rather than through the sediment. Instead I was left with a fair amount of sediment in my glass from the first pour. Bottom line, we enjoyed the meal but when you compare their prices to what they deliver, the restaurant comes up very short.
We wanted somewhere special to celebrate our 30th anniversary just the two of us. We decided on a weekend of theatre , shopping and good food at Niagara on the Lake. For our anniversary dinner The noble had everything we were looking for, a romantic beautiful environmment, good food, and excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would go back again.
Wonderful mussels appetizer, but we were a bit disappointed with the "prime rib." I guess prime rib in Canada is not the same as prime rib in U.S. This was more like a steak. OK, but not outstanding. Beautiful restaurant and excellent service. We will definitely be back.
We cannot recommend this restaurant, unfortunately. The dining room is very nice, and we had a great table next to the window. However, there were several problems with the meal. First, we were not even offered the $45 three course menu shown on line until we asked about it. We decided to go with that because we were going to the theatre after dinner. At that point, they whipped away the a la carte menu completely. We both ordered the salad as a starter, and it was good. My husband ordered the fish for the main course, and it was fine. I ordered what was described as prime rib and it was terrible. It neither looked nor tasted like prime rib. It looked more like a tournedo. The silverskin had not been removed from the outside of the steak, making it difficult to cut into. In fact, silverskin ran throughout the steak, and I eventually gave up trying to eat it. The Yorkshire pudding was dry. The grilled vegetables were very good. My half-eaten plate was taken away without question or comment. When our dessert came, it turned out to be Creme Brulee, which my husband likes but which I detest. Fair enough - the prix fixe menu did not specify what the dessert would be, so it was just my bad luck. My husband enjoyed it. However, the waiter tried later, as we were leaving, to persuade me to eat it! At the same time, he was apologizing for not bringing us the tea and coffee that we had ordered 20 minutes before. We couldn't wait any longer as we were heading to the theatre; both he and the woman who seated us were aware of this deadline as soon as we arrived. We didn't have huge expectations for a $45 menu, but we expected something edible, and we also expected better service at a restaurant like this. While elements of the meal were okay, we won't go back, and we cannot in good faith recommend it to anyone either. There are lots of other choices - although many of the hotels, and therefore their restaurants, are owned by the same group.
our waiter was very personable , actually helped guide us thru the ordering process, excellent suggestions, great descriptions of the food, overall a great experience
Ambience was very good. We had a window seat and it was a beautiful sight as we dined watching the folks as they passed by. The service was great and our waiter was very attentive. The Prince of Wales Hotel is a signature place in Niagara on the Lake and it’s enjoyable in such a wonderful facility.
Service and Food were AMAZING! Definitely make the time to dine at Noble during a visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake
Dinner service from WAYNE (from Perth Australia) was excellent. Breakfast service, not so great. Limited for dinner. My pasta with lamb dish was excellent, although over priced. My wife's prime rib was just ok but not great.
Beautiful ambience. Very disappointing food and poor selection on the buffet for Mother's Day.
I took my mum and grandma to Mother's Day brunch at Noble restaurant. It was quite busy and we had to wait almost 20 mins for our table. Our server was nice however beyond coffee she never asked us if we wanted any other beverages. She also did not give us water until we flagged her down halfway through our meal to ask for some. The buffet was setup in the ballroom which required you to walk down a few hallways to get there just to get to the food. I thought the setup was lacking. The food itself was okay but not great and for the price of the brunch I was expecting something much better. There were only 5 hot options and the rest for basically antipasto and cheese. The hot options were nothing special and were reminiscent of what you would get a regular breakfast restaurant not a fancy brunch. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Mother's day brunch. Lack of variety. Did not have different options. Very disappointed. Overpriced. The restaurant and hotel are beautiful though. I don't recommend.
Took my mom here for Mother’s day. We both had a fantastic time and the food was amazing.
The restaurant is beautiful and very elegant. One of the few places with white table cloths-which we love. Our waitress was outstanding. The food was really good. I had the pasta which wasn’t my favorite-I prefer pink sauces or something with tomato for pasta. It was well executed I just felt it needed something to give it a little kick/tang but that’s just personal preference. I was also expecting large shrimp and they were tiny. So mostly it just wasn’t what I was expecting. My husband had a chicken dish which he loved.
We sat in the sunroom area which offers a great view of the town but if you prefer more elegance ask for the dining room. It’s like stepping back in time as it is in the Prince of Wales Hotel. The bar area was beautiful.
Overall we loved the experience and would definitely go back. It’s a bit pricey but that’s what we’ve come to expect in the area.
There were six of us and we celebrate two birthdays and one anniversary. Everyone were pleased with the food, the service, the ambiance, the convenience. A very lovely experience and everyone left for home very happy and pleased. Jaime
Great food and service. Would highly recommend it. Right in the heart of Niagara on the lake.
We booked for a late lunch for our Anniversary and the food was great and lots of it. There was so much and we were so full we did not eat supper and we had leftovers to bring home.
Dinner was delicicious and the ambiance was perfect for our anniversary. The service was top rate.
The menu selections were spectacular. Very creative with interesting combinations. In looking over a number of different restaurant menus in the area I found most were more meat oriented than seafood. The other menus reflected an English heritage whereas the Noble is more Californian, which appealed to me. The raspberry creme brûlée is to die for!
The atmosphere at Noble is absolutely gorgeous! My husband and I went here for a date night and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, food was amazing and all around it was a great place for a date night! Will definitely be back!
Frequent visitor to the region and in particular Niagara on the Lake. Have eaten at both Pillar & Post and Prince of Wales and they offer a great selection whether you're out for fine dining or just relaxing on the patio for a quick bite. Always support local wineries, although they need little praise.
Stayed at the Prince for the weekend to celebrate wife's milestone 65th and they couldn't have done a better job. Wayne was a superior attendant during the dinner as was his support Taylor. Meaghan was the attendant for both breakfasts and she was very pleasant and very attentive when the breakfast took a little longer one day. Josh also was a superb server. Although we frequent the area, everyone ensured we were made aware of all the activities this region has to offer. Spectacular occasion.
Kind of luxury and friendly to locals and visitors. I drove from Toronto for the restaurant!
We had a lovely meal as part of our package. The servers were very friendly and professional.
Excellent food& service in a lovely setting. It was our second visit and as wonderful as the last visit. Only suggestion is that they could use a cocktail menu. Loved it!
