brilliant food, efficient servers, pleasing environment. Wonderful experience.
Excellent dinner experience from the delicious food to the exceptional service. Will definitely return again.
My partner and I were in NOTL for our anniversary and reserved a table at Noble on line. We both had the beef filet as our main. It was cooked perfectly and came with roasted seasonal vegetables and the house potatoes. Our server Wayne was attentive without hovering; service as it should be. We never felt rushed and were able to enjoy our meal, the ambiance and each other’s company. Will definitely be back.
Elegant, traditional decor. Top notch service . Limited menu but food was delicious.
Possibly an off night but the restaurant lacked ambiance. For 830pm the lights were on full brightness. We were told 3 times it would be dimmed. Food was good but not special as we have eaten at other Vintage Hotel restaurants and our expectations were high. Server approached with the wrong name he thought we were someone else. No big deal but by the end of the night these little things add up. Menus are never removed even thought they came with gloves to remove used plates. Our special occasion was forgotten until well after dessert which is fine But then remembering us late made it feel like an after thought. I would give them another try but not running back anytime soon.
We had Thanksgiving Dinner and it was amazing.
We especially appreciate the pesto heart design in the sweet potato soup
The service staff was very knowledgeable, and attentive
We will definitely recommend this fine dining establishment
Good - portions were large. My girlfriend had their Thanksgiving dinner and unfortunately the turkey was dry and mash potato too firm. I had the duck confit with risotto. The duck legs lacked flavour but risotto was flavourful.
The Thanksgiving dinner was very good. The service was also very attentive and good. They could have decorated this restaurant with some pumpkins, fall flowers to make it more festive. The tables had no fall flowers. The sanitazion was very good.
We would dine there again.
Turkey tasted dry & cut very thick .
Root veggies were way undercooked.
Potatoes tasted like instant , I’m a cook and I know flavour .
Dark meat on plate was filled with fat & bone attached .
A big disappointment for 65$ per person
200$ meal with wine & tips .
I’m booked for Christmas and won’t be eating here .
I was treated most courteously. The food was excellent though pricey but worth every bite. Afternoon tea the next day was equally good. I highly recommend.
Delicious dinner & breakfast in a beautiful setting and professional service.
took great care in social distancing measures, the food was delicious, the wait staff was friendly.
A couple of quibbles - the salad we ordered to start was really quite ordinary - chopped romaine lettuce and grocery store tomatoes. Especially in Sept. better ingredients should be found. The bread also was not special - grocery store level baguette, with room-temp butter in containers, rather than artisanal bread and fresh butter on ice. The halibut and beef were both excellent and the service superb - attentive but not hovering. I was hoping to start with a glass of bubbly (for a special occasion) but there was nothing like that by the glass, an odd omission I thought. A lovely evening overall, however.
Excellent experience. Wait staff were very personable and available.
Food was excellent. Will definitely come back again.
Our waiter Frank was great. My husband had a tiny piece of meat. Not a filet. No baked potatoes but a scrap of flaky potato. The duck I had was burned and dry.Our so called squash was a about 6 small squares.Less than a table spoon. We waited a long time for service. All in all a very disappointing experience.
Delicious food - friendly staff and beautiful artwork made this a lovely and memorable evening
We ate here for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! We had eaten lunch here several years ago but this was our first dinner here. The food was perfectly seasoned and delicious and the service was above and beyond what we expected. The waiter and hosts were very personable and knowledgeable. Would definitely eat here again for a special occasion!!
My husband and I dined at Noble twice as we were staying at the Prince of Wales hotel.
The first night we ordered room service. So I won’t comment on that experience but instead the second night which we dined at the restaurant.
This restaurant is very popular so we sure to make reservations otherwise you’d be turned away. We dined on a Tuesday night at 8:15 and all the tables were full. People were still waiting for a table after eating our first course.
This is a 3 course meal restaurant. I don’t believe they serve a la carte.
I got the Caesar salad as a starter, which was quite standard but very good regardless. For my second course, I went for the pasta. The pasta was covered in tomato sauce with a medley of veggies. This was meh, nothing spectacular. It was a bit light in taste and bland. Lastly, the dessert - a choice between the chefs special or fruits. We heard from the couple sitting behind us that the chefs special was amazing and delicious. So naturally we picked it. It was chocolate mousse in a cup, topped with a half of a strawberry, whipped cream and piece chocolate. After one bite of it, I was done! It was way too rich for me, but i did finish the piece of chocolate.
Overall, if you’re around the niagara on the lake area, it’ll be a nice experience to dine in this iconic hotel. Food wise, don’t expect too much. The service was great and our server was very attentive and nice!
We were very disappointed with her experience with open table. The Noble restaurant is not even open for service and you allowed us to make reservations and sent us on our merry way which was not great. You should probably check what restaurants are really open through Covid and water not. Mary Drake
The staff were kind, courteous and funny. The kitchen was very accommodating to our dietary restrictions and the food was absolutely fantastic.
Fast food restaurants serve the same food much better quality for a quarter of the price. The fish and chips were dripping with oil. Maybe you should hire a cook.
It was one of the worst lunches in my life.
We decided to spend Sunday afternoon of the labour day long weekend at Niagara on the lake and were especially looking forward to lunch at the Prince of Wales hotel restaurant at Noble. Unfortunately, the restaurant Noble was closed for lunch so we were stuck with having a patio lunch at the Churchill lounge. It would have helped if while making the reservation that was communicated. I think it was not appealing or convenient to have lunch patrons seated outside and those wanting drinks the pleasure of being indoors where the ambiance was much better. While I can understand ensuring physical distancing, the lunch patrons were not many so both types of patrons could have been seated inside, and given a choice of the patio. The area where the patio was just okay. You would never know you were dining at the Prince of Wales. The menu choices were not that appetizing or interesting either. I settled for the fish and chips which was drowning in oil and the fish was heavily battered. My husband ordered the lamb burger which he said was good. I think I would have rather spent my Sunday afternoon elsewhere. I was really looking forward to a better experience here but I was disappointed. I know with Covid things are very different but I felt the standard was barely met for this establishment. Our server and overall service was as fine.
Brunch was delicious and the service was excellent.
Had the prix fix menu for 50.00 per person and with thw inclusions of app, entree and dessert it was a good value. Hubby had the caesar, NY striploin and vanilla bean cheesecake - all of which he said were great and good sized portions.
I had the grilled heritage tomato salad, lamb sirloin and seasonal fruit. The salad was basically a caprese without balsamic and with the addition of peaches but very fresh and good quality. The lamb sirloin was the standout - perfectly seasoned, and a beautiful medium rare so that it melted in your mouth. The sides with the lamb were ok - the salsa verde was fresh and the eggplant ragout was quite good but the white beans were slightly undercooked and felt a bit out of place. The seasonal fruit was a good sized bowl - my only disappointment was the canteloupe but that is a personal aversion and there was more than enough of the other fruit to compensate. I wish there had been a chocolate option for desert or even a small square of chocolate with the fruit but again, that is just me.
Our server - Taylor - was attentive and knowledgeable. We sat on the outdoor patio on the side and the restaurant did a great job handling covid protocols with separate serving vs. Clearing options to prevent cross contamination.
The only minor flaws were that there were pretty long delays between the ordering and our apps and entrees coming out.
We enjoyed the location being so central as we could people watch while we ate but could still have a good conversation.
Waiter very slow, had to wait for our table even though we had a reservation and there were empty tables visible. Pancake wasn’t fully cooked and waited very slow
Beautiful music and stunning historic venue
Service was very good. Pleasant and courteous server. Prix Fixe food menu for $50 was fair. Fish chowder had no "fishy" flavour, too pasty. Cod in parchment was ok but not memorable. Unimaginative dessert -- there was only 1 choice. Wouldn't recommend. There are other options.
For a place that presents itself as "Fine Dining", it was disappointing. There was no creativity with the food or presentation or flavors.
The food was cooked properly but was more suited to a family restaurant.
I was just hoping for more for my money.
Food was excellent, fixed-price menu was very good, minimizes decisions. They seemed to be doing their best given the circumstances, all health protocols were being followed at least by the staff; some of the customers, not so much. Overall, a wonderful dinner.
The service was impeccable ! Food quality good :D we would go back anytime !
A lovely atmosphere in elegant surroundings. Much attention is paid to social distancing, however still retaining the ambient and elegant atmosphere. The menu offered a good variety of choices for appetizers and main courses, although the desert choice was limited with only a choice of fresh fruit or on the evening we dined, a strawberry mousse. Our selections of food were well presented and tasted excellent.
Our server Gerard, was excellent and a credit to this fine establishment. Noble is an excellent fine dining restaurant in the area.
Good food and ambiance overall. Staff weren’t that attentive
To many houseflies other than that it was excellent
We had a lovely relaxing time. Scenery was beautiful. If you want some action the people watching is fun on the patio. Kid friendly. And great food.
The service at the Noble was second to none. A lovely, unhurried dinner with excellent food recommendations.
The atmosphere of dining outside at Niagara-on-the-Lake is one you can't beat.
Everything was perfect!!
We will come again soon!!
Service was infrequent and not what I would expect out of a higher end establishment. We constantly had to ask for things and the attention to detail was absent. Our host made excuses when we commented on flies in the building. We have had great experiences at other vintage hotels, but noble was a complete disappointment.
Wonderful evening on the patio, drinking in the sights of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Great food, nice choices on the prix fixe menu. Attentive and friendly service. The cod papillote was the best I’ve ever had!
Food menu was very limited. But everything tasted good.
