   Made a reservation for Mother’s Day, called twice to confirm we could order off the menu instead of partaking in the Mother’s Day buffet. When we got there, we were told we had no option but to eat from the buffet. The food was okay, but was disappointing overall - steak was cold and food had been sitting out. The waitress, Maddie, was lovely and did comp our drinks, but it was certainly not the experience I drove over an hour for. When I booked the reservation I asked to be seated near the windows. When we arrived we were seated in a dark corner next to a partition hiding stacks of chairs and tables despite several four-top window tables being available. Not the ambience advertised online.

   We made a reservation through the OpenTable app, selecting the "standard" option, which we assumed referred to the meal type. However, upon arrival, we discovered that the only available offering was the Mother's Day buffet brunch. When I mentioned this to the hostess, she explained that "standard" referred to the seating arrangement, not the menu selection. While our table was well-situated, accessing the buffet was inconvenient—it required navigating through two other restaurants, a hallway, and passing by the washrooms. The food quality was underwhelming for a restaurant of this caliber; both the roast beef and ham were dry and served cold. The only highlights were the desserts and the made-to-order omelettes. Adding to our disappointment, after just an hour and a couple of trips to the buffet, we were informed that it would be closing in ten minutes, despite our timely arrival. The most enjoyable aspect of our visit was the presence of an adorable small dog at the neighboring table.

   Beautiful Mother’s Day brunch. Fabulous food with live music. Best buffet in years very much worth the price. Catering by prince of whales hotel excellent lots of variety.

   My wife and I stayed at the hotel and dined at Noble for her birthday. The service was satisfactory and the appetizers were as anticipated. However I ordered a 10 02 steak medium rare and my wife ordered lamb to be prepared medium Our dinners were served and the waiter disappeared not returning to see if the meals were prepared properly. My steak was not even close to medium it was well done and my wifes lamb, while edible, was well done. Eventually I got the the waiters attention and showed him the steak advising that this was indeed well done. He agreed and took the plate away. He did offer to have another steak prepared but my wife was finished and I was in no mood to have them mess up another meal so we simply finished our bottle of wine and departed. A totally unsatisfactory experience.

   The meal was outstanding. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits. We had a great evening there with friends.

   Service was exceptional, staff was attentive and very knowledgeable of menu breakdowns. We were impressed We will Definitely make a point to visit again.

    When we booked this table through Open Table for Pillar and the Posts Cannery Restaurant dinning room establishment- the 8:pm table seating I suppose was not available. In stead of recommending another seating or date it suggested the Nobel room was available: not explaining that this restaurant was in a different location. Nothing against Nobel but we were pretty disappointed to be played like that with Open Table and the Vintage inns restaurant hotel group just redirecting us to an available seating in another location. After racing across town to get to what we thought was our 8:pm seating at the Pillar and the Posts Nobel room we realized we were mislead . To make matters worse when we did arrive for our 8:pm table seating back the Nobel house they didn’t have a table ready for us and eventually sat us in an unpleasant location in a doorway. Eventually they moved us to the desired spot in a window but by then it was 9:30pm and we didn’t eat until at least 10:30-11. Their error should have been remedied at least with a complimentary glass of wine. They did have a wonderful wine steward who was terrific. The oysters as an appetizer : not so much.
