Lovely setting with excellent, attentive service. The chicken with sweet potato purée was delicious. My dining partner chose the spelt pasta, which was interesting, but not something he would choose again.
We will be back!
Placing a guest to have the sun in his eyes for an hour is inappropriate. My husband wore his hat indoors for that hour. Otherwise the food and service was outstanding.
Setting is very charming, airy with excellent ambient light and view of the park, flowers and street activity. Seating prompt with excellent attention to detail. Food was excellent with a first rate choice variety. Wine suggestions were appreciated and spot on. One would not be disappointed in dining here.
Noble is a very fine restaurant -- as you'd naturally expect to find at the Prince of Wales Hotel. The host, Nicholas, is very hospitable, and our server, Gerard, is truly excellent. The first course and our entrees were exceptional as were the desserts and wines. We will be dining at Noble every time we visit NOTL and the Shaw Festival. Thank you very much!
My wife and I dined at Noble last Monday night. We chose a special restaurant for a special evening. Noble has all of the unique and authentic charm one would expect from The Prince of Wales. Jared, our server, engaged us at the beginning of the evening and got a feel for our pace and dining preferences. He made helpful suggestions and checked in regularly. We ate leisurely diners, and Jared accommodated us. Our Sommelier, Fred, was helpful and gracious. He was especially helpful putting Niagara Region wines into the broader wine context, helping my wife and I to make decisions despite being unfamiliar with local offerings. The Venison and Arctic Char were wonderful. Jared’s temperature recommendation was spot on. We particularly enjoyed seeing the Venison served at a neighboring table and watching another diner take his first bite. I’m sure my face showed the same joy that his did! Food, service and ambiance ... with a surprise, or two, from a team that took the time to learn who we are at the very beginning of the evening.
It was very nice place . Unique food and unforgettable experience.
Had a very good dinner. Venison chop was outstanding. Tomatoes soup a bit too much garlic. Very attentive service from our server as well as the wine sommelier. Certainly the cream of the crop in NOTL.
Dirty place that need a full upgrade and better operation.
It was pub food in a fine dining atmosphere. And my fries were cold. The staff were eager to please but poorly trained and/or inexperienced. For a $200 lunch, including tip, I expected much more. We have been dining there for years and were very disappointed. We will not return.
The table placement was perfect -window view but in the shade, the service was attentive but not hovering, the food excellent!
I’m a frequent Nobel’s guest and compared to the previous lunch we had, this was a complete disappointment. Our server, Juan Carlos must be new to the job (understandable) that every time we have a question about the emu he would leave the table and ask someone. The dining area was very warm on a hot summer day as some of the guests close the window decided to open the windows for their convenience. The best part of dining here is that there’s “valet parking”. I’m not sure if I’ll be back.
This was a return visit for us. Since the last time, the name has changed (used to be called Escabeche), but absolutely nothing else about the experience. Definitely special and worth a visit. The portions are perfect...we hate taking "leftovers" as they are never as good as in the dining room. Service is efficient and pleasant without being overly obtrusive. Really enjoy the beautiful dining space...pleasant window and amazing art. Fred, the sommelier was very helpful in selecting our wine-listens to preferences, price range, meal pairing, and value.
A wonderful evening with delicious food, excellent local wines, exceptional desserts and attentive service that was not intrusive.
The hostess greeted us at the and escorted us to our table. We were quickly joined by our server whos name escapes me. Our server was truly attentive throughput our dining experience. Both Carol and I ordered the taster menu with wine accompaniment. Our server have an excellent explanation of each course and the wine selected. My wife Carol being quite the foodie asked a lot of questions which the server answered, if she didn't know she found out poste haste. Needless to say Carol was well satisfied, myself I had an excellent meal and enjoyed the conversation and ambiance
We have dined at Noble on several occasions and this visit was a total disappointment. We had booked a reservation weeks ago requesting a table by windows. Although location was not guaranteed, we got worst table in restaurant. Waited about 25 minutes for this bad table by door and hostess station. Clearly overheard numerous guest complaints, dishes dropped.broken close by. Staff standing beside our table trying to organize themselves. Overall, expect much more ambience and service for prices charged
Overall we were quite pleased with our dining experience at Noble. It was an odd mix of formal atmosphere in a relatively informal setting. I was expecting a little more grandeur based on other reviews. Food was delicious though and servers were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to our needs.
The food selection is limited, and food quality is fair. However, the service is excellent.
Service was even worse at lunch, then dinner the night before. Staff need training. Our server disappeared after bringing our lunch and never returned. Another server brought our bill. My husband sat with an empty glass the whole meal. We expected so much better and would not recommend. Noble is not fine dining. Service and quality do not match the price point. My husband spoke to the manager who seemed as inexperienced as the staff. The hotel and its staff are fantastic. Very disappointing that it doesn’t transcend to the serving staff
Been there before and it's never a disappointment
Service was disappointing. I would not consider Noble to be fine dining. It was tacky that the Sommelier helped our wine pairing with a handful of another table's dirty glasses. We were in no rush. Our red wine was not put into a decanter. It needed to open up. We had to request one from the server. We expected better. Not worth the price. Also, when I add that the occasion is a Birthday, I expect to be put at a nice table, not the one closest to the kitchen.
The only place we found to have a worry-free gluten free breakfast. Great place!
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The waiters recommendation were excellent as was the food. We love the hotel as well.
Perfect. The perfect way to celebrate.
All of a sudden I didn’t feel very well, however, our waitress offered to help if she could. She said “no need to rush to leave, just sit and relax”. I did however feel I was not given the lunch I had ordered. I ordered the pickerel but I think I was served the fish and chips.
Beautiful, great food. Staff was polite and great service. Very friendly
Can’t beat the beautiful location and atmosphere
Our party of four was seated in a front window alcove of this Victorian hotel’s dining room. It felt cosy and private and yet gave us a view onto the street. The food, although not the best we had in Niagara-on-the-Lake, was very good, and the service was excellent. We would certainly consider returning.
The food and ambience were great. Best of all was our server, Valerie, who provided such attentive, professional service, which resulted in a very relaxed and enjoyable evening for our party of four.
Our serve Joe was wonderful and engaging. Knew what we wanted ash what e were celebrating. Great evening of great food. It was a meal we would never put together well worth the price.
Noble is located inside the Prince of Wales hotel. It is an upscale restaurant meant to celebrate occasions. Their pork belly appetizer is on the salty side for Asian pallets but pairs well with the sauce that it comes with. The artic char was good. The dessert cheesecake on waffle was not to my taste. The waffle was not hot enough and the cheesecake was a little rich for my taste, but those that prefer richer flavors might like it.
Noble has a new menu and it was just mah...we ordered the risotto and it was very liquidity. The arctic char was good, but the flavour from the garlic butter was very subtle. The green salad was very good, but the passionfruit cheese cake wasn't good as it was served on a donut, but tasted like a stale waffle. The worst part was our waiter never asked how our food was. Overall for a $200+ dinner we didnt find the food quality or service to match the price.
Food and atmosphere were amazing
Our waiter was so friendly and informative. He made my first Mother’s Day very enjoyable. He was sweet to my son. And on top of that knew what to suggest for our meal.
The service was impeccable. The food quality was ok. I chose the vegan options noted on the menu but they had to omit certain parts as they said they weren’t vegan which was confusing to me as it was identified on the menu as vegan.
The pasta my dad ordered was over cooked.
Recently as an employee of Vintage Hotels I was thrilled to win employee of the month at my establishment. Four of us stayed at the gorgeous Prince of Wales Hotel with dinner and breakfast included. It was nothing short of incredible. The Noble restaurant was amazing ! Our server, Valerie is a true gem and gave us such special attention and amazing service. She is a wonderful asset to Vintage and represents them proudly. Breakfast was delicious and the perfect start to our adventure day. We took in the sights and shops downtown before returning to the Churchill Lounge where we sipped on cocktails in front of the inviting fireplace. I cannot thank the staff enough for such a wonderful stay, we can't wait to return!
Our server Vanessa was wonderful . Very professional and attentive . The manager George made our day ! Lovely man who you can tell has a passion for his job .
The restaurant is quite lovely, in the historic Prince of Wales Hotel. The food was ok, but for the price it was not particularly special. The service was quite good. Unfortunately, our evening was ruined by the very intoxicated woman at the table next to us. She was loud, vulgar and rude and stumbled into another table on her way to the loo. In spite of this, the server continued to bring her alcohol. Her embarrassed husband was trying to manage her but that only inflamed the situation. Staff need training on how to deal with situations like this and to be reminded that it is illegal in Ontario to keep serving alcohol to intoxicated patrons.
Birthday a very nice atmosphere
so many different flavours! absolutely wonderfuly! loved it!
Lovely evening, with attentive service, exceptional menu and great wine. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
