   The food was O.K. but the service was not brilliant, there were only us and one other table so the place was quite quiet, however we all felt that the staff were in a hurry to get us fed and out, really rush to the point of asking if we had finished our starters when it was obvious that one of us was still eating there starters,and just in general we felt the staff were in a rush. I don`t think I would go back again

   It was okay but not memorable. We used a Gourmet Card, which they firstly said wasn't usable on a Saturday night (not mentioned on the Gourmet Card's website), then they negotiated the discount to one meal, and then applied the discount to the cheapest meal. I think that if you are going to embrace these sorts of incentives you have to be all in or all out, as otherwise it just leads to resentment (on both sides)

   Warm greeting from the friendly staff. Good sized portions, excellently cooked steaks, good wine.

   Table was set and ready despite the busy time. Service was very efficient and professional. We were on a tight time schedule but were able to enjoy the time together and the delicious food. Highly recommend this place.

   Excellent home cooked food. Good service and really good value. Definitely would go back - particularly if going to the Hippodrome.
