Absolutely great experience and evening. Our server was very nice and welcoming. He offered us blankets which made our evening more enjoyable since it was a very cold and windy night. Ambiance was great. He remembered to bring the birthday dessert which made our experience great. Would love to see more food options . We would love to come back again!

Let me start by saying this: There is better food to be had for the price that they’re charging, if you’re heading there with the mindset of mind-blowing food, you’ll be sorely disappointed. The price is a more a reflection for the ambience that you’re surrounded with rather than the food itself. With that said however, I had a fantastic time at the restaurant and the food was still (in my opinion) good! $17 for 2.5 hours of parking (basically the dining time limit) is a bit much, then again, it’s not much better anywhere else especially in DTLA. I would recommend a friend to Spire73 but would also try and set their expectations on the food.

This is an expensive tourist trap. We sat for 20 minutes before we were claimed by a server. Our food was taken to the wrong table several times. The menu is fairly uninspired and way overpriced for what it is. Chicken wings on the menu? Really? Dubstep music for 2 solid hours.

Salmon was excellent, Tiramisu was excellent, cocktails were excellent. Noise level is loud- especially if you’re seated directly under one of the speakers ringing the window seats. There’s no roof and it is on the 73rd floor so bring a jacket. It was packed but the service was fast and the waiter was friendly.

My best friend invited me to dinner to celebrate my graduation. We had exceptional service from Ruben. The entire hotel staff from the downstairs lobby to the restaurant were amazing. Thank you for an amazing evening!!

It was a wonderful wonderful evening. The weather was perfect. Our server, Jason, was accommodating and kind and attentive. There was an issue with the elevators getting up to the restaurant it seemed that many were not working and it took us about 20 minutes to get upstairs to the restaurant but they were kind enough to hold our reservation.

Almost everything about this place is great. Food was flavorful and prepared as asked. Great drink selection and service. The only draw back was the table we were seated at were coffee table height. There are multiple tables like this, that are for parties of two. So it made it a bit awkward eating, hunched over like we’re at a backyard bbq, for the price we are paying. They should change these to standard tables. The lower table offer no advantages for the setting or views.

TLDR, there're better upscale dining experiences nearby. was really hoping for more given the brand of the intercontinental but I was a bit disappointed. The food was great- the salmon, the chicken, the flan, the bubbly but nothing was out of this world. It was very much a 4/5. The view was astounding. You can see all of Los Angeles from Studio City beyond the Hollywood Hills to the high rises in Long Beach. 5/5. The service is what was lacking, especially given an 18% gratuity charge and the upscale aesthetic - 2/5. We were left waiting for wait service for extended periods of time and service both placed an incorrect order and took my check and card then came back to usher us out of the restaurant for the 2 hour dining limit without returning my Amex - to which I very obviously pointed out to minimal care from the staff. I signed the check and left promptly, happy to get out. For an upscale rooftop dining experience, Pilot at the Hoxton and Perch offer far better dining experiences, better food, still impressive views, all at a similar price point, among many other downtown options. This is a one time place, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

The cocktails were amazing. I told the bartender what I like, and he made me the perfect cocktail. We also tried a couple of whiskeys we had not tried before. Both bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. It can get a little chilly up there, but they provided us with blankets which helped a lot.

The food menu is very limited, however you wont be disappointed with taste. Service is awesome. The view from the top is breathtaking but personally I still feel much could have been done to make it a grand spot. Overall I definitely recommend SPIRE73 as a worthy visit when you are in DTLA.
