Nice bites of flavor, excellent beer selection
Went with a group of six for my birthday. Could not have had a better experience. The food is unique and fabulous. We ordered lots of things to share. Beer, wine and cocktails were great (yes, we indulged in all). And can’t say enough about the service. Just the best!
Elevated bar food. Service outstanding, they know their beer and what to pair with. But the food although creative, was overpriced Fried chickpeas were totally over salted, could not even enjoy them.
If you like beer, definitely go but maybe eat elsewhere.
We had a fun time at No Anchor. The beer menu is very unique, with a taste chart that we really enjoyed testing out. The food was interesting, and while we consider ourselves adventurous eaters, the menu and food presentation was a little to “out there” for us. Nevertheless, we had a great evening with exceptional service and would go there again.
Husband and I were looking for a new place to try and were immediately drawn to the unique menu items and beer selection. It did not disappoint. The food is a bit pricey, but if you're not looking for a large meal and you can accept the price tag for small, but exceptional plates of food, this place is a great way to spend a night out--with a friend, family or significant other.
One of the highlights of our Seattle trip. We foodies loved the expertly crafted food and great beer menu. We went for lunch, but I bet dinner is great too!
What was originally thought to be a throw away meal was an amazing surprise. Between the interesting beers and the food I was extremely surprised and will return again in the future.
That steak! Soo good! & we also ordered the charcuterie board that was wonderful to eat with our steak. Not a place for wine, but excellent beer selections.
Mostly a beer bar, but they have some pre-made cocktails that quite good. The food is nice as well, but it's a small menu. Good sharing plates.
We had their sous vide steak and sous vide duck with a cherries. Both were delicious and probably the best prepared duck we'd ever had. It was our best meal in Seattle.
A bit over priced.
Service, food and ambiance were all top notch. The beer and cocktail list puts it over the top. Casual, relaxed yet upscale atmosphere. They have a lovely patio but we opted to sit inside where it was less crowded on a nice evening.
Great Meal! Good for groups!
This was my 5th visit to No Anchor. The attentive staff continue to deliver great food and imaginative cocktails and beer in a low key (non-stuffy) atmosphere.
great chef creations, lots of local ingredients, with a surprisingly reasonable prices. smallish portions but filling. loved the beer selection (that's why we went), and they have the option to get 4 ounce pours, so you can taste a lot of them.
It was moderately busy on a Tuesday night, be we were able to be seated right away.
We had a disappointing experience. We were visiting Seattle from Chicago and had seen No Anchor as a restaurant with a good beer menu. The beer menu was great - the food menu was not appetizing to me... it was maybe "too adventurous". However, we did see the crab roll and shrimp roll and I knew I would eat those two things. Unfortunately, we were told they were out of both of those things when we arrived. We decided we'd order an appetizer and have a drink. We ordered the smoked trout spread. For $18, you receive a piece of toast with a creamy trout spread, powdered chives, and some purple flowers. It was not what we expected and was disappointing. The food is small, overly fancy plates and overpriced. The beer selection was great but I wouldn't go back for just the beer.
Service was excellent. Crab on pretzel roll was so good!
Delicious food, some of the best in Seattle! Service was great and beer options were fantastic! Great date night place!
What a pleasant surprise! No Anchor feels like a bar (it is) and has wonderful, creative, delicious food. The service is knowledgeable and helpful. It was a lovely warm evening and we enjoyed eating outside. Inside is dark and has loud music so I will return when I can eat outside again.
I suggest drinking beer or cider rather than wine. They have a great selection and it goes best with the food.
Seated on the patio. Fantastic beer selection with great to compliment. Will definitely come back as the selections rotate often
No Anchor was amazing - some of the best food I have ever tasted. They also will give you a beer suggestion based on what food you're eating which is also really cool. Would definitely recommend!!
This is on the 38 essentials list on Eater! Wow was it ever a must. A neighborhood gem. The menu was imaginative and fairly priced. The server was very knowledgeable and the beer selection was off the chart.
The food was ok, not my favorite oysters. The crab roll sandwich was good, as was the beer. The price points on the food were pretty high.
Great food and beer selection.
We really enjoyed the chicken and biscuits! The beer was tasty and unique
We had a late dinner so the place was pretty empty. Food was yummy but small portions.
No Anchor is a no frills beer-centric bar with a nice outdoor patio area located on a quieter street in downtown Seattle. The vibe was very laid-back and the scene was perfect for a business meeting over beers.
Excellent service. We were running late for a business reservation. No Anchor happily took an appetizer order via phone so our food would be ready as soon as we arrived.
Great beer selection. Small but fun menu. Nice place to drink.
This place is a hidden gem with amazing food! Can't wait to go back.
Food was phenomenal!
Very limited menu but amazingly professional service- great for drinks but we were here for dinner and menu was quite slim. I would highly recommend but go online and look at the menu first!
Great brunch menu!
Went for happy hour and was very pleased with the experience. Nice selection of beers along with descriptions to help diner decide. Menu is limited but the blue cheese plate the bartender suggested to pair with our stout was excellent and the pairing was synergistic. Service was great and the bill was reasonable. Highly recommended.
Wow! Great amazing food and beer. We decided to get a few options to share so we could try multiple dishes. Everything was amazing. Loved the radishes and dip!
They sadly ran out of the things we wanted to order but the lobster roll and dumplings we had instead were divine!
Very attentive and helpful service.
Recommend this place!
I would leave 10 STARS if i could! No Anchor hits a home-run on every plate and drink on the menu. My brother and I first came here while visiting Seattle seven months ago. We got hooked and made the trip back specifically to dine here. The have a wide range of specialty beers and drinks. We each enjoyed the 3 hour tasting menu and I can say it was absolutely divine. Every course perfectly appointed and better than the last. The chef is very creative and inventive with his pairing and plating. He really thinks outside the box and serves up a flavor so unique and decadent. We will return many times. Get here if you can! You won’t be disappointed.
$20 for the cheese plate was a bit ridiculous given the amount of cheese given, but it was tasty. I think it's irritating that they don't allow you to taste a beer before ordering it. I get that that can be abused, but one taster is a reasonable request. My only option was to order a 4oz pour and ended up getting stuck with a beer I couldn't drink. Needless to say, I likely won't be back.
We arrived a bit for our brunch reservations and they were more than accommodating. Great service and great food!
