Everything was fabulous. Food was fantastic and service was impeccable. Definitely expensive, but great spot for a special occasion.
Visited for my daughter's 28th birthday and we had the chefs tasting menu.
What an amazing experience, we started with Salmon and this was followed up by seared scallop. We then transitioned to rizzoto and had an incredible chicken dish followed up be waguee beef and closed the evening out with a Carrot Moose.
Great space with a wonderful atmosphere. We sat at the bar and our bartender was very attentive and friendly. She made very good cocktails and was knowledgeable about the menu. My girlfriend and I both got the chef’s tasting menu which was 5 savory dishes and a dessert. I also added in the gnocchi dish. Everything was exceptional. I can’t attest to the portions if ordering a single dish from the menu, but with the tasting menu be aware that the portions are very small. This is the only thing that may deter some people as the cost is high. I Definitely would recommend to anyone for at least one visit, or as a place for a special occasion. We will definitely be back and I will be ordering the gnocchi as a full dinner.
We had a fantastic time on Saturday. The food was really all i had hoped for and the service was top notch. I think we had pretty much one thing of everything on the menu:) I know it is so hard to keep up with such a level of perfection during these times but No 9 pulled it off gracely and seemingly effortlessly!
No 9 Park has consistently inventive, seasonal, and well-executed food. Their cocktail and wine lists are impressive as is the knowledgeable service. We had the tasting menu for three people. Make sure to always add the signature prune gnocchi. It’s the signature dish for a reason! On this particular visit we found the lime tart not to be to our taste. It included a large amount of fresh lime sections piled atop the tart. We found the bitterness to be a bit overwhelming. Others may well like it but it didn’t quite do it for us. The bluefin tuna was outstanding.
Fantastic evening. My wife felt very special on her birthday. Our server was very friendly and provided great service. Only suggestion is that, when asked about a particular wine, the flavor profile is more important than the history.
Amazing food and service. Always special when your waiter is a certified Somalier (sp?). Had the 7 course tasting menu plus a cheese selection. Coupled that with the wine pairing — how can you not when your waiter knows hos stuff. It was dinner and a show which made the splurge more like an experience than just a dinner. Unfortunately Covid has made the ambiance very, “meh.” But when you are with someone special, THAT’s the ambiance...I’d do it again.
Dined on the outside deck overlooking the park. Got the 7 course tasting and pairing. Each dish was excellent (the dessert was just fine though). Only catch is there are no heat lamps or heaters so as it’s warm it’s great.
Exquisite meal and knowledgeable service. Very relaxed environment.
No. 9 Park is a beautiful, exquisite culinary experience in the heart of Beacon Hill. The Chef's 7 course is highly recommended, as fine-dining connoisseurs will be able to taste appetizers, entrees, and desserts of the renowned Barbra Lynch. Each dish was wonderfully crafted in taste, presentation, and elegance. The foie gras, gnocchi, risotto with black truffles, and wagyu beef were my favorite! Exceptional service and alcohol selection made our experience the very best. I will definitely be back when visiting Boston!
I haven't been here in years, I tried it again for my husband's birthday. Service was excellent, above and beyond really. I love learning about new wines and the food was phenomenal. Definitely a special occasion place but well worth it.
Lovely evening at this iconic Boston restaurant, with excellent service, a beautifully paced 7-course chef’s selection complemented by superior wines chosen by our waiter/sommelier and little touches like a vase for the flowers we brought, and chocolate calligraphy (Happy Birthday) on the plate of the apple ‘tart’ at the end. An evening long anticipated, fully realized.
Thank you all for making our anniversary dinner a night to remember! We're still savoring our meals!
The food was amazing and everything came out hot and beautifully presented. The staff took great care to make sure that dining was safe and enjoyable. Each table had a bottle of hand sanitizer on it, the tables were spread out and the place settings came to the table as we were ready to use them.
Excellent meal The fois gras was superb My steak, while cooked as requested, was a bit cooler than I would have liked But that’s only minor point in an otherwise great dinner Remember to pre order the soufflé
Two of us met up for a drink and a snack. We were at a table outside. After a while, we didn’t even notice the street noise, we were enjoying ourselves so much. The staff was superb. The cocktails are perfect. What a jewel this place is.
Fantastic experience. We did the chefs tasting with wine pairing. The food was outstanding, and our waiter was very knowledgeable with the wine pairings. Everything was perfect.
Live the food and presentation!
Nick the sommelier was superb and informative. Loved talking with him and trying wines. Duck was outstanding.
Great date night. Food was excellent, sommelier Nick helped us select a delicious bottle of wine. Eating outdoors was very nice in front of the state house
To celebrate our wedding anniversary, my husband and I were recommended to dine at No. 9 Park by a local. The food and service were very good, despite chilly conditions on the street side patio (we were aware that heat lamps had not arrived as yet and were prepared). I was a bit disappointed with the depth of the a la carte menu, but the Rohan duck entree was excellent and the ahi tuna appetizer was tasty. I didn’t care for the banana bread/ caramel/ speculoos dessert. Also, although we were greeted with a “happy anniversary” at the door, there were no other efforts to recognize the occasion. I think that for the cost of the meal, it wasn’t quite as “special” as I would have hoped.
Always delicious. Wonderful menu and every visit is always a gastronomic journey. Wonderfully curated wine cellar.
We have eaten here before but during the pandemic until this week. It was a great experience. The food was excellent and the staff superb with their knowledge of the food and wine menu. We were able to take our time and enjoy.
Great dining experience! Food was amazing and delicious!
The Service was a little slow when we were seated, I took nearly two hours to receive the first 2 (out of 7) courses. That being said, we later learned they were working with half the kitchen capacity due to COVID and were serving a full restaurant. I was compensated and didn't mind too much. The food was absolutely delicious. Would go again.
Celebrated our anniversary and it was lovely
We sat outside, and they did a lovely job making the space feel romantic and inviting. The only downside—and it’s not their fault!—is that the restaurant is on a hill so my husband and I were a bit tilted the whole time. It took a little getting used to but after a while I didn’t even notice. That aside, the food was, as usual, fabulous. The prune-stuffed gnocchi never, ever disappoints. My husband got his go-to dish, the duet of duck, and it was so well prepared. (A bit salty for my taste but my husband thought it was perfect, and that’s what matters!) my favorite dish, the salmon, wasn’t on the menu this time but I got the risotto and loved it. We also got oysters (for me) and ricotta fritters (to share) and both were gobbled up in a flash. Around us, at least two tables got the seven-course tasting menu, so clearly everyone was wanting to squeeze in some delicious food while it was still warm out! I hope to make it back again before the cold comes.
We did the tasting menu and it was so disappointing. 7 courses that were not impressive at all.
My husband and I have been to No. 9 Park many times for many celebrations. The restaurant has never failed us. From the welcome to the service to the food, everything was splendid. It was our first time at a restaurant since January and we wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary at someplace we loved and that we knew would take great care to keep us safe in the year of the shi*t show named Covid 2020.
We look forward to being back in January for my hubby's birthday!
Outdoor dining so a bit more noise due to the environment
Always excellent food and service. Special wine list. Highly recommend the gnocchi.
During these times I felt No 9 did a great job offering indoor and outdoor dining. With so much space available inside other peoples conversation carried a little but they did a great job serving and making sure our special night was just that, Very special
Great service as always from Diego. And the rest of the team. Felt safe and well cared for.
Everything was fantastic...food, service, etc etc. The only but is 2 of the party asked for tasting menu and the other members ordered a normal 3 course meal. The pacing was off between each set and I wonder if its realistic to have these two types of orders
The service was the only issue. The bartender was great, the manager was great (as she did an awesome job addressing an issue that we had with our steak). However our waiter didn’t come to our table once after our food was served. Our water was never refilled, we were never asked if we needed anything. In order to address our issue with the steak we had to flag someone down and this was because our waiter was not attentive. Even when he did approach our table when it was time to order desert or get the check he didn’t even notice that everyone was out of water. It was just odd.
No. 9 Park was everything we expected, incredible and friendly service, outstanding food and really enjoyable ambiance despite covid regulations. Our background for dinner was the beautiful gold domed state house! We will certainly return.
We went to this restaurant to celebrate a big birthday. The staff was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating from the beginning. The server was really knowledgeable about everything in the menu and gave us great wine recommendations. I especially enjoyed the beef tartare- one of the best in the state, pastas (we tried them all) and the chocolate soufflé I’m still dreaming about. Come here when you want to try remarkable food but in a more charming less stuffy ambiance.
The service and tasting menu was superb. It was a great evening and look forward to my next.
No. 9 Park is one of my favorite restaurants. I have dined there to celebrate my father's birthday, my anniversary, and sometimes for no special reason at all. Every visit there leaves my taste buds delighted and my stomach full of amazingly delicious food and wine. I can't wait for my next visit!
I enjoyed the chef's tasting menu and they graciously allowed me to "swap out" two of the courses (the chose the two) for my favorites: fois gras and the chocolate souffle. The wine pairings were exactly right (even the sauternes for the fois gras). Excellent.
