Had a really poor experience with our waitress. We were seated 20 min late to our reservation, asked which type of water we wanted but never give it, never offered bread when the other tables were, and then our wine showed up as we were finishing up our meal. Very strange experience.

We got the tasting menu which was a great way to explore all the options at No. 9 Park. The oysters, gnocchi and pumpkin veloute were delicious! The lamb was waaaay over salted to the point that I couldn't eat it all. The service was excellent, engaging and fun. We also did the wine pairing which was not good value. While I understand that it's a taste of wine per course, I think you should get more than 1 1/2 glasses for $85. Overall, I'd give it a B.

This was one of the worst dining experiences in a long time. Service was terrible. a la carte menu is limited and they ran out of steak which was one of the choices and ran out of duck breast( only had duck leg) We waited 35 minutes before a waitress took our drink order and then the drinks were not correct. Waitress was going to find out if we could order the steaks from the tasting menu but she never returned with an answer. The restaurant manager finally gave us an answer. Oysters were ordered with just cocktail sauce and no mignonette sauce. One order came correct so cocktail sauce was shared. Horseradish and tabasco which was supposed to be brought to the table never arrived. Two of us were able to order the steak. We asked for ground pepper which waitress brought when steak was already eaten. This used to be one of our favorites, but I will not return. Expensive and awful experience and an embarrassment for our friends who were looking forward to an elegant evening.

My husband and I had talked about going to No. 9 Park for years. When the opportunity finally arrived we were thrilled. The night started with a delightful cocktail before our dinner. Once seated, service was very slow. We quickly realized into our meal that we were never given napkins. We were seated in a corner surrounded by windows which was drafty and cold. Our waiter was delightful and helped with the experience but it just didn't feel like the "top Boston restaurant" that we were promised. Food was delicious but nothing that met our expectations for the price that we were paying. Overall, it was a good experience but did not meet our expectations of the award-winning restaurant that we had heard so much about.

No. 9 Park is the perfect place for a special evening. The attention to detail, every step of the way, makes every diner feel like a VIP.
Lynch’s food is executed almost flawlessly, and the service is outstanding. Of course it may not be for the budget minded, but 9 Park still makes for money well spent.

The single worst 'fine dining' experience of my life. This place perpetrates culinary fraud on its victims, and I'm sorry to say I am now one of them. Not only will I never return, I intend to make it my life's mission to warn others away.

We absolutely loved our dinner. Our server was exceptional and the experience overall was one of the best we’ve had. This was our 20th wedding anniversary and we had our rehearsal dinner there. We will definitely be back!

First visit to 9 park. Quiet table in front room was spacious and very attractive. Servers were informal but knew the menu and wine list and had good suggestions. Food and wine choices are creative and were well prepared and presented. Had an excellent evening. Very easy to get to on edge of the Common

No. 9 Park is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The food is exceptional as is the service. When I asked about entrees that could be prepared gluten free, our waiter presented me with the most delicious gluten free rolls without being asked. The sommelier suggested a wine that was "a bit out of my comfort zone" and I loved it. Finally, when we got up to depart, the maitre de already had my coat ready. These are the types of touches that make No. 9 Park one of the best restaurants in Boston. Hats off Barbara Lynch!

Many years ago my wife and I celebrated an anniversary at Taillevent in Paris, France. For our first experience with No. 9 Park, we decided to go with the Chef's tasting menu and wine pairing. It was memorable and bought back memories of the dinner years ago in Paris. Take your time, do not rush and enjoy the experience of No. 9 Park - you will not be disappointed.

Food was very good, service excellent. The Chef made a mushroom rissoto for our group of 4 that wasn’t on the menu-but I had there the night before as a guest to another group. It was excellent!

Lighting was extremely poor. It was difficult to see our food. Many people in the restaurant had to use their cell phones to see their menus or food.

We splurged on the Tasting Menu with the paired wines (a real treat for us) and were not impressed. The plum gnocchi, which cost extra as a substitute, was the only highlight of the meal - that and the cannelloni. In total it was a $500 meal and we so wanted to be blown away but we just weren’t. In talking to people afterwards we understand it used to be much better, back in its heyday (5 yrs ago). I guess we went too late. Nice place for a quick bite and drink maybe, but don’t splurge expecting greatness. We definitely won’t be eating here again.

Certainly one of the best, if not the best restaurant in Boston. Food is classic French and I doubt there is better service anywhere. Strongly recommended for special events, birthday - engagements - anniversaries - they go all out recognizing a special event. Service is A+ and I recommend asking them for wine recommendations - such a strong list. They do a great job picking the beer list also, unique Craft selections among with European classics.

My husband & I enjoyed the Chef's Tasting for our 10th Anniversary! It was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing pace of delicious food from our 1st course through the complimentary dessert they gifted us. Everyone was friendly and very professional. They made us feel special from the moment we entered and were greeted with a warm "Happy Anniversary!". What a special evening...we will be back for sure and we won't wait until our next anniversary because we can't wait that long! Thank you.

The food was not the quality we were expecting and the service wasn't great for the price point. We constantly had to ask for our waters to be refilled and for our wine to be refilled as well. The waiter didn't seem to know the menu well. As for the food, the best item we had was the oyster and the crudo. The sea bass was over cooked and lacking flavor. The ambiance was also dated and stuffy.

Had a ton of staff, yet still had to flag someone down to buy a bottle of wine. Then felt like they were rushing us out the door on a not-that-busy night... At $300, it was overpriced for what the experience turned out to be.

I think my rating may actually be generous, reflecting perhaps a deference to past experiences at this restaurant.
The food was uninspired, at times lacking flavor and any element that would make the dishes taste any more than workmanlike.

The service, while always polite and delivered with a smile, seemed random and disconnected - multiple different faces delivering courses with no real oversight of the experience. The place seemed to lack any leadership or quality control.

Not sure I’ll be coming back any time soon to what was previously a regular port of call on my visits to Boston. It all seemed a little tired and the polish was wearing thin. It needs to be much better if it is to justify its reputation and its prices.

We had a birthday dinner for my wife at No. 9 Park and the restaurant was very welcoming and reserved a good table for us. They have a nice option of being able to order special flowers for the table, which can then be easily carried home.

They promote a multi-course meal, which looked good but was more than we wanted to eat (or spend). So we ordered a fish dish and a steak dish--both were outstanding. My only knock on the restaurant is that it seemed to take a long time for the single entree to be prepared. It felt a little like we were being punished for not ordering all the preliminary courses.

Overall, we were very pleased with the ambiance and the food.
