When you go to Boston and want a fine meal there is no other choice! The cheese cart, pasta, service, etc... It's all top notch. The staff is fully invested in your experience and is excited to be a part of it. Go get your lobstah and Mike's pastry, but for a night to remember make your reservations here...Did I mention the Cheese Cart?

We went with the tasting menu. The food was very good with very creative pairings.
Felt the overall service was not up to par with a top-end restaurant. Our server was very nice but not too attentive and we felt as though we were up-sold by adding a dish to the tasting menu that we thought was included. $24 for 3 pieces of gnocchi is excessive.
The food was great but for the same (or lower)price no where near L’espalier

The food and wine was really phenomenal. Our lead server was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate. There wasn't any food curation at all for several courses as the restaurant got busier, which isn't what I'd expect from a restaurant like this. Also toward the end of the tasting menu, the service fell apart a bit (e.g., food dropped, but no wine from the pairing yet, had to ask for the check after waiting a long period of time with no beverage or offer of one). Would go back because the food and wine was just that good, but service--while friendly and eager--was definitely off.

As always, the food is incredibly creative, eye appealing, and contains the most heavenly cominstions of flavors and textures. The choices take eating to another level. Besides being the best food in Boston, the staff make the experience truely remarkable. Their effort to help you overcome any food challenges results in alternatives you didn’t know existed. No. 9 Park is a “ya’ll come” dining experiece- not just supper.

My husband and I have made No. 9 Park a yearly tradition on Black Friday after watching the Bruins play at the Garden.

We both love the food, service and the ambiance of the restaurant. This last time was above our expectations!

Thanks again for an incredible dining experience :)

What an amazing meal. There was a bit of a wait for the table, but we were offered a seat in the bar area where we enjoyed a craft cocktail.

The menu and the option chef’s tasting menu were very interesting. Opted for the ala carte menu which was fabulous. Service team was attentive without being overbearing.

The food was very good but small portions and overpriced. Service was attentive and helpful. The tables are in odd places, and we had to eat in a spot right in the thick of things. It's hard to get much privacy. Also, the menu is not great for vegetarians. Plenty of fish, but not not much creativity.

No.9 Park is memorably good. We went for a dinner on a Monday night. The menu changes, so my recommendations are time limited, but the oysters were delicious. The scallop and veal sausage was, according to my wife, the best prepared scallop she’d ever eaten. From my taste of it, I’d agree. I had the halibut, which was also superb. For dessert we had their excellent cheese plate. Be sure to order the Harbison and the Bleu de Basques. The wine list is amazing. Our waiter, Jonathan, was excellent, making recommendations for the wine and cheese that showed a real depth of knowledge and understanding of what No. 9 Park is trying to do. We only common to Boston periodically, but I would be delighted to return to No. 9 Park whenever we do. Very, very highly recommended.

We were greeted very warmly wit a happy significant anniversary. Our 45th. We were brought to our table immediately. It was an ok table but others were better and taken so nothing else could be done. The waiter came over wished us a happy anniversary, never introduced himself and took our drink order. I asked for tap water which arrived without ice and warm. I asked someone for ice and it never arrived, had to ask again.

When the website states "classy" dress, I think dress up, jacket and tie or at least jacket and no jeans. I know the jeans are acceptable but I am old school and have a hard time sitting next to a guy in his 40's wearing jeans and does not know what he ordered when asked by us.

The food was excellent. However, it was very expensive, we expected that, and did order a good bottle of wine that really added to the cost. This was a nice way to celebrate our 45th anniversary. We most likely never go back again. That does not mean we did not enjoy it but many other good spots in Boston to try.

Quaint little gem right off the park. Nice ambiance and super friendly staff. Portions were good, wine pairings were ok. Some of the wines lacked character and depth. Overall great plaxe to spend a wonderful special evening out. I highly recommend the chefs tasting. They change their menu every 2 weeks. This is a huge feat as most eateries of this class ride a menu an entire year, switching out 1 or 2 seasonal dishes. Well worth the trip.

Very much enjoyed the tasting menu and accompanying wines. All well matched. Portions were perfect; I didn't feel overwhelmed in the middle or the end of the meal!! Initially disappointed in seating arrangement as was seated opposite my husband which wouldn't have mattered as much Except table next to us had very loud conversationalists. They did move us kindly, which was greatly appreciated so at least we didn't have to yell over the neighboring table to hear each other on our date night.

We're foodies and do a lot of adventuresome home cooking, so we don't mind really splurging for a special occasion as our eat-out budget is not overstressed. This outing (on our 15th anniversary) was perfect in every way. Great food, impeccable service. They treat the help well, and it shows.

I have a gluten allergy, which I flagged at reservation confirmation time (when asked). Fresh-made gluten free bread and adjusted deserts were a sinful pleasure I rarely get when eating out... and we have eaten at some of the finest restaurants on the planet.

The quiet (very low music) dining room was a plus.

Btw, we usually go for wine, especially on the rare occasions we go for a heavy meat meal. No sense dulling our taste buds with a sharp cocktail. Bur we were attracted by some interesting choices and they worked perfectly as well with our memorable lamb and duck.

I had high expectations for this restaurant as it's supposed to be one of the best in Boston.

We got the tasting menu and waited an average of 25 minutes between the different plates event though the kitchen wasn't busy. This was a Wednesday night and the room was half empty. The waiter who was great and very attentive couldn't do anything about it, unfortunately.

2/3rd of the food was good (though not extraordinary) but 1/3rd really missed the mark. The Mousse de Foie Gras for example was so salty it was inedible and they added salt as a garnish on top of it (to their credit, they didn't charge us for it).

We came here for a special occasion, expecting greatness but felt it was pretty mediocre.

There was a delay in serving our main course, because kitchen had overcooked my lamb dish. We hadn't yet noticed the delay, when the server came with and provided us with complimentary salads to make up for the time it was going to take to remake the lamb. I appreciated both the honesty and the solicitude.

Food is good but not yet up to a Michelin star caliber. Wine list is varied and around 3.5 retail. Ceilings are low and restrooms are subpar for a restaurant with aspirations. Very warm in the restaurant the evening I was there and several guests removed their coats. Service is solid and everyone was working hard on a busy Saturday night. Foie Gras was top notch. Fish prepation was over cooked (charred outside and dry center. Duck two ways was prepared nicely. Worth a try but the physical layout must be challenging for the staff.
