Super expensive with the Valentine's Day menu, but the experience made it worth every penny!

Clearly a successful restaurant, but the food/experience does not match the price anymore. When paying more than $650 for a dinner for 2, you would expect an exceptional , one of a kind expierience (Michelin star stuff) and not a nice diner that is over within 2½ hours.

I really loved this place! Went there for my husband's birthday and the service was awesome. Friendly and quick but not intrusive. Food was delicious although fewer options than some might like for people who don't eat meat. The drinks were great as well. I would highly recommend this but would say it is more special occasion dining.

I was excited about trying No 9 Park. We had the Chef's Tasting Menu with wine pairing. The food was very good and some things were better than others. I had high expectations and would say for the most part, the food did not live up to my expectations. Service was excellent and Caleb did a fine job (however it was very difficult to hear him as he described the wine selections with each course and descriptions of the food served. He was very soft spoken). I would probably give this place another try -

My husband took me there for my birthday. We had such a wonderful time we purchased a gift certificate for our daughter's birthday.

Great food and great service!

No9 Park is a little like your favorite black dress... the first thing you reach for, it’s easy to wear, works for any occasion and keeps things sexy to boot!
Once you try this Boston landmark you’ll always come back because it never disappoints!

Always enjoy this restaurant when in Boston. Food was excellent though portions were small. Noise level in bar very high for conversation but once in dining area it was fine as was the table location. Our waiter was very friendly and delivered excellent service. Would recommend highly.

All around the experience was exceptional. We were celebrating our anniversary and I l had requested a good table, which we got. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed back and the hostess acknowledged we were celebrating an anniversary and so did the waiter. The food, as expected, was implacable. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, cocktails and especially wine. My only suggestion to him is to speak a little bit lower. I could hear the conversations he was engaging in with nearby patrons. I appreciate his enthusiasm but, for my taste, a little privacy would’ve been superb.

We had a lovely evening. Wine service was slow. We were seated at a very nice round table for 6 however, it was near the kitchen and bathroom hallways. Very hectic
area of the Restaurant. Would specify not to sit there again -especially for a table of 6. Food was very good. First course was served and we waited for wine. White was not chilled enough as well. Red selection was fine. It was very difficult for the waiter to serve in that area of the restaurant. In and out of Kitchen to my left.

The view of the lights on the Boston Common is a seasonal treat, but cannot compare to the tasty beautifully creative cuisine. The gluten-avoiders appreciated the hot, fresh-baked gluten-free yummy rolls!

This a very pretentious restaurant that survives on its location and prior reputation.

If you enjoy spending $45 for a 3 oz (i'm being generous on the size) fair, sirloin steak
and $ 19 for 6 oz of turnip soup, this may be the place for you.

It seems this is the place for the early middle age group to be seen, rather than going
for a nice meal with service that matches the prices.

This was probably our sixth time to No 9 Park. The food was outstanding as usual. However, the service really fell flat this time. In the past, we've received excellent service.

The service I expected started off really good with the confirmation call that didn't just cover confirming the reservation, but also any dietary restrictions or special requests we had (we were celebrating my wife's birthday, and she is a vegetarian.)

Arriving early, the hostess found a place for us at the bar, and then helped up moved to our table when it was available.

Our main waiter was the problem. At a meal like this, long periods should not go by where we have empty wine/drink glasses. This happened a number of times - which is really a loss for the restaurant (as we would have likely ordered an additional drink or two if they were more attentive.) We noticed adjacent tables (and also, remembering from our other experiences at No. 9 Park) getting free drinks or cookies with their checks - we got nothing extra. This last part just left kind of a sour taste, after a nice evening.

The supporting wait staff was very friendly and did a great job of explaining all the dishes they brought to our table (we did the six-course prix fixe.)

In the future, we will certainly got to No. 9 Park again. We just may not rush back.

Valet parking was shoddy and surprisingly pricey.
Host and hostess were friendly and cordial. Server was efficiently cold. ( not ready to make conversation, knowledgeable when asked questions about the menu). Food was excellently prepared and well presented. Pork loin was tough
and difficult to cut. All entrees were overpriced for
the portions. Overall dissapointed having been
to No 9 Park on several occasions previously.

Surprisingly poor. "Valet" parking? The female "valet" didn't approach our car when we pulled up. We had to exit the car and go to her. As for the food: We tried many dishes. The only memorable dish was smoked trout, which was delicious. The bread was, truly, awful. Served cold and doughy, sent back to the kitchen and returned warm and doughy. Ugh. Veal sweetbreads were dry and tasteless. Salmon -- a very small portion and nothing special. Chicken was supposed to be served "on a bed of apples" ... had not much taste and not much in the way of apples. A small bit of crispy chicken skin was tasty, but a tease. Salad was unremarkable. "Pear tartan" was absurd ... a whole pear on a dense, hard biscuit. Service was okay, but didn't help the overall disappointing experience. Ambiance is definitely more dour than lovely. Very clean crystal goblets cannot compensate for the low ceilings in this narrow-fronted brownstone.

I really don’t understand why this place is rated so high. The portions are extremely small (ordered the lamb and got two very small slivers) and it didn’t even taste good. Had to stop for more food on way home. Toughest lamb I have ever had. The wine, while great, is a stinking little 4oz pour for $15 (small glasses with a very small pour). If you have way to much money and don’t appreciate getting what you paid for then this place is for you! Don’t think I would ever go back, way to many other restaurants in this city that I can spend $180 at and get a hell of a meal. Literally left feeling like I got ripped off.

It had been way too long since we'd visited No. 9 Park and chose it for a special birthday. Everything was wonderful. Great, warm and knowledgeable service. The view overlooking the Boston Common is charming, especially during the holidays when all the trees are lit up. Best of all, No. 9 Park's cheese cart is an outstanding end to a meal, the best I've ever sampled outside of Paris.

Haven’t been to No 9 Park in a number of years. After a lovely performance of the Holiday Pops, I felt that my date and I would enjoy a nice meal. Number 9 continued to live up to it’s well deserved reputation as on of Boston’s finest dining establishments. Everything about our experience last night was second to none. The food, service, wine list, valet, friendly hostess, and even a heated coat closet exceeded our expectations! Highly recommended!

Have not been there in a year or so, as I don't live in Boston. Went to No. 9 last Saturday night. The nicest staff was the hostess. Table staff was very confusing: too many people, no one in charge, not particulalry warm or friendly as I would expect for this price of meal. We were seated, then just sat there for what seemed like forever; finally menus arrived. Service was spotty during the meal (except for the server delivering rolls and water). Never knew who our server was as there were too many. At the end, we just sat there; had to ask for our bill, but didn't know who to ask. Timing of service is critical in a restaurant of this caliber. ONCE our orders were taken, food arrived hurredly, with almost no time between order and salad, or salad and entree, all poorly timed.
Food was good, though not spectacular. Rolls/bread were cold, inexcusable for a restaurant like this. Salads were OK. My duck was quite good though it looked as if it had been thrown on the plate. The best course was probably dessert. Overall, a disappointing experience for $200 for two before tip. On departure, the hostess was a breath of fresh air.

When you go to Boston and want a fine meal there is no other choice! The cheese cart, pasta, service, etc... It's all top notch. The staff is fully invested in your experience and is excited to be a part of it. Go get your lobstah and Mike's pastry, but for a night to remember make your reservations here...Did I mention the Cheese Cart?
