We absolutely adore No. 9 Park and have been celebrating our anniversary there for years. It is our favorite romantic spot, with amazing food, excellent wine and the most lovely staff. I also enjoy going and sitting at the bar to have cocktails with my favorite friends!

I took my mother here for her birthday and it was a fantastic experience. Our waitress had great wine suggestions, the food was incredible, and they made her feel very special for her birthday. Thanks!

The food was exceptional and the service was even better. It was our third time dining here (went after Boston marathon in 2014, 2016 and 2018). The attention to detail is amazing. One of the best dining experiences one could ever have.

As always a tremendous, wonderful evening at No. 9 Park. It is our favorite romantic dinner spot in Boston. Service is always, always exceptional and greatly appreciated. Only one slight complaint that I've never had in multiple visits: the pork dish was undercooked-difficult to cut and eat which was really surprising. Not worth a complaint because the whole meal was delicious and wonderful and two of the pieces of meat were fine; but rare to see a meal so carefully prepared not executed well. We still LOVE this restaurant

The house special gnocchi is amazing! You just have to experience it to understand the richness of flavors. We ordered a few other small plates that had wonderful combinations of tastes. We will be back!

Service was great but not much description, suggestion or guidance on the menu, which is slightly disappointing for the average check. The venison left a lot to be desired and the pork was fairly good...luckily the team was quite responsive and understanding and did make efforts to compensate for the quality. Would definitely go back to check out the bar menu!

Everything was terrific-with the exception of the restaurant charging $2 per person for the amuse bouche....I’ve been to hundreds of fine dining establishments-NEVER have I been charged for what is the chefs welcome..unimpressed. If you have to charge-bury it in the entre price.

Surprised a Barbara Lynch restaurant did something so “bush league” .

Every dish was superbly created, with combinations that worked to enhanced the natural flavorings of each element. The prune gnocchi were spectacular, the duck was a perfect combination of breast meat and confit, with excellent accompaniments. The service is attentive and well-informed but not obtrusive or fussy. In sum, a superb and top flight dining experience. We will return soon.

It never disappoints. My daughter and I enjoyed every bite of our meals before heading to the ballet. The service is always spectacular from the moment you arrive to the end of the evening. We enjoyed the brussel sprout salad, shrimp tortellini, halibut and another fish dish. The dulce de leche dessert was phenomenal and every plating was like a work of art. We will definitely be back again and again!

We had a delightful dinner during Dine Out Boston. The ambiance is wonderful and classy. The service was impeccable. We had fois gras, salads, salmon, farm egg, chicken, and of course the chocolate/cherry torte with heavenly light chantilly. Wine was pricy, but overall very enjoyable meal!

Went for restaurant week which makes this a tough recommendation because my experience was on a reduced price prefix menu. We got the five-course option including the addition of the foie gras as well as the wine pairing.

The highs:
3 of the six courses were amazing (salmon, chicken and polenta, and foie gras)
wine pairing was amazing (can't stress this enough)
possibly the best butter I have ever had (from a local cow named happy?)
impeccable service (can't stress this enough)
great drinks from the bar

The lows:
3 of the courses were average, which at a fine dining restaurant is disappointing. One was like a very good potato salad with cold brussel sprouts which was confusing/underwhelming to me.

Definitely worth another try post restaurant week when its a bit less hectic and the menu is a bit more expensive, which hopefully will provide me with 6 excellent courses!

Our special occasion restaurant let us down. Tables literally two inches apart, erratic attention from our primary server, good but not amazing food all lead to trying another venue next time. O well - expectations set by previous visits were too high.

We were at No.9 first in 2009, and we decided to go back to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was restaurant week, so the place was pretty busy for a Monday night. Despise they offering a cheaper menu for restaurant week, we ordered the standard chef's tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was impeccably executed, but no sparks. The true wonder was the sommelier, who had interesting stories for all the (excellent) wines we tasted. What made it a not-perfect meal? For a $600 bill, I was expecting more. We got no aperitif, no amuse bouche, no mignardises with our coffee, no cordials. The sommelier mentioned he offered us an extra tasting, but it was actually billed as an extra on the check. I get it that this is Barbara Lynch flagship restaurant, and we love it, as we love all of them, but we were expecting something more special for the price tag.

We have been a half dozen times over the years. Normally outstanding, but this time it was just meh. Maybe because it was Dine Out Boston week and we didn't order from the special menu? Service wasn't really there this time either. I think every time we talked to the server we had to flag him down, he wasn't paying much attention to us. We normally pick No 9 for special occasions but we may rethink that next time (especially if it is Dine Out week)

The service was terrible and everything was pretty slow. The food was good, and I enjoyed trying things off the tasting menu. However, I would prefer to go somewhere with a better atmosphere and service.

I used to love this restaurant, even if it has always been very pricey. During our last visit though, beside the gnocchi (outstanding as ever) we had a tiny tasteless octopus appetizer, minuscule portions of way overcooked seabass and chicken, and we waited over 20 minutes for a second bottle of wine that never arrived. When we had finished our meal already, our waiter finally popped up to ask if we "still" wanted our second bottle of wine. Really poor service for such a beautiful place. Sad

Expected more from this place with so many good reviews. Dine out Boston here was a joke. Think they need to offer something better if they participate in this event. Food here was really salty and not that great. I don’t know how they got so many good reviews. Food took long and portions were really small. Probably never coming back.

Went there for Dine Out Boston event, we chose Three Course Menu, it was $38 but the food was sooooo small. They tasted good but I would say it doesn’t worth that much, one bite of salad, one main dish, which I really satisfied though and one dessert. The reason why I said it doesn’t worth this price is because the waiter kept asking us whether we were finished or not, and this made me feel we couldn’t enjoy our time there.

Still a good place though, great food.

Everything was excellent. Period. No. 9 Park is one of the best dining experiences in Boston and I hope Barbara keeps it that way. We need elegant and quiet dining venues with impeccable service and food that approaches perfection for those special occasions, whether romance or celebration. Dress codes have fallen away and I think that's unfortunate.

Overall the restaurant food quality was acceptable and the dining environment had relatively good ambiance. Compared to other restaurants featured for this year's Restaurant Week, the offered Prix fix menu was rather disappointing in its offerings. The $38 menu left you wanting more in terms of both value and taste. In terms of the level of prestige the restaurant intends to convey, the food should be of a higher quality otherwise it is simply not worth the price. The wait staff did not seem to be very attentive to our needs and at times seemed visibly annoyed. If you are looking at fine dining establishments for Restaurant Week, there are many other great choices that will leave you feeling more satisfied.

I found this restaurant recently and it soon became one of my favorite.

What made it so special is the service here. I have seated at the bar, at the barstool table, and in both dining rooms. So I have met almost every staff here. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. They really pay attention to details and make your dining experience personal. They know I love gluten-free bread and I love the table by the window. I do not even need to put a note when I make reservations.

The food is delicious, though it is not outstanding. Prune-stuffed gnocchi is a must for me every time. The seared foie gras is fantastic and it blends quite well with the cracker and huckleberry sauce. The salmon is really fresh and delicious. I am not usually a chicken person, but I had the best chicken in town here. Plus, the wine list is incredible. Ask your server for recommendations for the wine, they have a wide knowledge of it.

Try the tasting menu and let the chefs surprise you!
