tomato, roasted mushrooms, fontina, basil
grilled eggplant stuffed with ricotta then roasted with tomato & parmesan in the brick oven
Favourite neighborhood spot. Varied menu. Great space.
Best gf pizza!
Really enjoyed our pre-theater dinner here. The menu was extensive, the food was great, and the waitress was so nice and very mindful of the fact that we had a show to make. All in all a great find! Will definitely go back.
Pizza was incredible
Nizza never disappoints. Try the socca. It's AMAZING.
Food and service were very good. Price was reasonable for Manhattan Theater district.
Came here with three girlfriends for pre-theater lunch and first thing we get is a plate with one piece of bread and olive oil...for 4 people. Already I knew this wasn’t going to go well. We asked our server what she recommended and one of the entrees mentioned was the mushroom frittata. So we all decide to get it and all four were hardly edible. It came with a plain mixed green side salad which was overly dressed and two crisps. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to complain and request something else or we would’ve been late to our show. Maybe the chef had an off day or we ordered the wrong entree. Either way we were all very disappointed.
Nizza provided a very good casual dining experience to our group of 6 on a Saturday night after a show. The food was reasonably priced and VERY tasty! Our server was attentive and personable. Members of our group ordered cheese, salad, pasta, and pizza. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal.
Nizza never disappoints. Great, delicious food, flavors that delight in every way and a truly amazing staff — our waiter and waitress went above and beyond and made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. A great night for my dear friend and I.
We had a great experience at Nizza. Everyone enjoyed their food and our waiter was patient and attentive. The chicken cutlet was cooked perfectly and the rigatoni with mushrooms was amazing. My gnocchi was okay (the other items were better). The burrata was delicious too.
Celiac theatergoers rejoice! They have an excellent selection of gluten free italian entrees - even the bread they bring out before the meal is gluten free and delicious! Very reasonably priced as well, especially for the neighborhood. Nice wine and cocktail list.

Will definitely return to Nizza for dinner before the theater next time I am in NYC.
The food was terrible.
Great place for dinner. Very accommodating if you're going to see a show.
Great good and service!! Will definitely come back and recommend to theater goers!
Amazing food. Great customer service and very tentative
Service was slow, space was tight, and food was bland.
We always try to fit in a visit to Nizza when we visit NYC. The food is great and I especially appreciate the delicious gluten-free options. I get to have my pasta fix.
Delicious food. Great value. Perfect for pre or post theater.
Server was very good. So was the soup. The rest was fair. Picked because it wasnt too fancy pre-theater. Nothing was bad, just probably wont be back. Too much in the area.
Booked this the week before Valentines based on reviews of gluten free restaurants in New York. I was travelling to New York from Ireland for work and my partner joined me for valentines, our first one! I was dubious about booking somewhere for this occasion so last minute but was so glad I booked it! He thoroughly enjoyed the calamari starter as recommended by the server and I loved how there was even gluten free bread served before the starters! The servers were so friendly and accommodating and everything on the specials sounded so delicious. I went for the gluten free norcina and it was so lovely. Will definitely be back if I return to New York.
First time at Nizza. Loved everything about it. Very good food, service, and ambiance. I will be back next time I’m in town.
We had a pre-theater meal here last week. Dillion our server was just excellent. He was friendly, kind, and walked us through the menu, highlighting favorites. We all enjoyed our food very much (the pastas). My husband said his pizza was good but nothing to boast about. You won't be disappointed if you go to Nizza. That said, because NYC has lots of places to try, I'm not sure I would intentionally make my way back there.
A go-to restaurant for us! Great food, service and overall value!
This is our fav spot to come before a show. I'm gluten dairy free and my friend dairy free and the servers are very helpful in guiding you on their delicious food.
My favorite dessert in all of NYC is Nizza's Apple Crostata. It was off the menu for a bit but I'm so glad it's back. We came here for my birthday dinner as I've done a few times and I've never been disappointed.
I live in Hell's Kitchen and there are terrific neighborhood restaurants, but Nizza beats them all. Everyone is so friendly, the food is TERRIFIC, service is perfection. I love this place.
Food was really good! Cant even begin to say how good the burrata and Apple crostini was! The pasta and pizza were alright (I’ve had better), but overall good experience.
Great place with friendly management and service! Food was excellent too!
Great eatery close to theaters. Diversified menu selection, great tasting food and beyond awesome service!
Nizza is my favorite neighborhood restaurant!! Nizza always goes above and beyond in every regard. Our waiter Anthony was amazing!! Another delicious meal at Nizza!!
Great place! Great Food!! Lovely Wine List!
Excellent service that catered to my gluten and soy free diet. My husband took me out for 18th anniversary and we really enjoyed the food and setting.
Our brunch experience was very mixed. While the beet and goat cheese salad and arugula salad were both very good and our companions seemed happy with their pizzas, my husband's Sunday pasta was terrible -- the sauce was very subpar and the meatball and sausage were hard and overcooked. Since I could not eat the sides of tomato and foccacia that came with my scrambled eggs and bacon, I asked to have the potatoes that were on the menu with another egg dish instead and was refused -- the broccoli rabe I was given instead looked and tasted as though it had just been minimally steamed hours before and left in an open container to dry out, and the fresh orange juice was bitter. The promised bread never came so we had to ask for it midway through our brunch.
The food is always fantastic and the staff friendly, efficient and accommodating. The location is very convenient.
Food was nothing special. The service and staff was outstanding, attentive and kind. Would come back for a cocktail but not for a meal. If you come, stick to the classics: Lasagna, Chicken Milanese.
What a nice surprise. Really good Italian in theater district. We had three appetizers, one salad and one main and all were delicious. Our server was attentive and of course we were in a big of a hurry to make a show but this was not problem. We ordred some of meats and cheese and to our surprise and delight it was beautiful y presented with toasted bread, honey, sliced apples and a chutney. Pasta was perfect al dente. House wine a nice blend and best of all less than $100 with tip and wine! A bargain with great food and lovely staff!
Like a great home cooked Italian dinner.
