About Nizza - NYC
Nizza is a casual Italian restaurant located in the heart of Hell's Kitchen. Chef Andy D'Amico uses the cuisine of the Italian Riviera as a starting point for his exploration of Italy. Our house speciality is our "Socca." Socca is a chick pea crepe baked in our brick oven, traditional to the French city of Nice. Our menu has a wonderful selection of antipasti, salads, soups, pizza, pasta and entrees. We were higlighted in 2008 "Cheap Eats" issues by Time Out New York and New York Magazine. As well as Time Out New York's Top 100 food items of 2008.

Nizza - NYC Ratings and Reviews
pleasant option in the theater district; tomato soup and arugula salad for appetizers were tasty; pasta dishes (one with sausage, the other cacio e pepe) were OK, nothing special unfortunately; service was perfect, most cooperative in getting us out in time for a show; prices very reasonable, a full house so they must be doing something right.
Came pre-theatre and was not disappointed! The complimentary bread and dipping sauce with ricotta were delicious. We all enjoyed our salads and entrees. The quality of food was excellent and we are very particular about food. Loved the cozy ambience and service was friendly. I would go back next time we're in NYC.
Nizza was outstanding! The atmosphere was so warm on a cold winter's night! The gnocchi was out of this world! It rivaled what we had in Italy! We are still talking about it days later. The tiramisu was delicious and the wine list extensive. We will definitely return and have already recommended Nizza to our friends!
My family and I were in the city and looking for a place where the majority of the family could enjoy authentic Italian food and I could find gluten free options. They didn’t just have options, they had a WHOLE MENU! Where I’m from... that’s a novelty! Our waiter was so friendly and kind and everyone on staff seemed like they enjoyed their job. Thank you for a wonderful meal
Very accomodating; had to modify our reservation twice over the course of the evening as we were running way late. Still had a table for us without a wait. Service was prompt, and food was tasty. Honestly - was a little disappointed by the Gluten free pasta - tasted like it was straight out of a packet, rather than made fresh. My wife and I shared the Fra Diavolo, and a Mushroom GF pizza. The pizza was nice consistency, but I was just not a fan of the sauce - found it a little bland. Otherwise a nice place, just dont expect to be blown away.
A proper Italian Restaurant in Hells Kitchen with no nonsense good value Italian pizzas, pastas and other typical Italian food. This is a fairly unassuming place but the service and value for money cannot be beaten. Great for families with kids who just want a normal meal that they would get at home.
Didn’t have my reservation. I had a confirmation emails. This place ALWAYS has a rather disorganized greeting station. Fairly indifferent service, EXCEPT the hovering staff, asking to remove plates that were half full. People do occasionally stop eating and have conversation during a meal....
Overall, liking this place less and less. Get organized!
Every time I return, Nizza does not disappoint. Go early before a show, and don't rush, but if you need to rush, they make it happen. The food is not stuffy, not complicated, not expensive, but very, very good. Pastas, salads, oh and the cheese/meat boards are bountiful and super tasty. On Wednesdays, great bottles of wine are $20, and in an area where most restaurants are overpriced schlocky spots that locals avoid, this is a bright star!
I always have an awesome time when I come to Nizza. The menu is delicious and reasonably priced, the house wine is also excellent for the price. Our server, Carlos was EXCEPTIONAL. I am a server myself, and truly have respect for people who love taking care of others. He did just that from start to finish, you must ask for him if you dine. We had the eggplant appetizer and a delicious ravioli. They have gluten free options as well that are excellent. Must dine!
I ate at Nizza once before a couple of years ago and thought the food mediocre at best but it was a place I could get in an out of quickly from past experience as I had an early post-dinner appointment. My friend ordered a pasta dish (can't remember what it was) and it looked really strange, she left most of it on her plate. I ordered gnocchi and it was mush, it was vile. The gnocchi was probably sitting in a pot of boiling water half the night. Too late to send the dish back as I didn't have enough time. Never again!
