Nizza is a casual Italian restaurant located in the heart of Hell's Kitchen. Chef Andy D'Amico uses the cuisine of the Italian Riviera as a starting point for his exploration of Italy. Our house speciality is our "Socca." Socca is a chick pea crepe baked in our brick oven, traditional to the French city of Nice. Our menu has a wonderful selection of antipasti, salads, soups, pizza, pasta and entrees. We were higlighted in 2008 "Cheap Eats" issues by Time Out New York and New York Magazine. As well as Time Out New York's Top 100 food items of 2008.

Really enjoyed our pre-theater dinner here. The menu was extensive, the food was great, and the waitress was so nice and very mindful of the fact that we had a show to make. All in all a great find! Will definitely go back.

Came here with three girlfriends for pre-theater lunch and first thing we get is a plate with one piece of bread and olive oil...for 4 people. Already I knew this wasn’t going to go well. We asked our server what she recommended and one of the entrees mentioned was the mushroom frittata. So we all decide to get it and all four were hardly edible. It came with a plain mixed green side salad which was overly dressed and two crisps. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to complain and request something else or we would’ve been late to our show. Maybe the chef had an off day or we ordered the wrong entree. Either way we were all very disappointed.

Nizza provided a very good casual dining experience to our group of 6 on a Saturday night after a show. The food was reasonably priced and VERY tasty! Our server was attentive and personable. Members of our group ordered cheese, salad, pasta, and pizza. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal.

Nizza never disappoints. Great, delicious food, flavors that delight in every way and a truly amazing staff — our waiter and waitress went above and beyond and made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. A great night for my dear friend and I.

We had a great experience at Nizza. Everyone enjoyed their food and our waiter was patient and attentive. The chicken cutlet was cooked perfectly and the rigatoni with mushrooms was amazing. My gnocchi was okay (the other items were better). The burrata was delicious too.

Celiac theatergoers rejoice! They have an excellent selection of gluten free italian entrees - even the bread they bring out before the meal is gluten free and delicious! Very reasonably priced as well, especially for the neighborhood. Nice wine and cocktail list.

We always try to fit in a visit to Nizza when we visit NYC. The food is great and I especially appreciate the delicious gluten-free options. I get to have my pasta fix.

Server was very good. So was the soup. The rest was fair. Picked because it wasnt too fancy pre-theater. Nothing was bad, just probably wont be back. Too much in the area.

Booked this the week before Valentines based on reviews of gluten free restaurants in New York. I was travelling to New York from Ireland for work and my partner joined me for valentines, our first one! I was dubious about booking somewhere for this occasion so last minute but was so glad I booked it! He thoroughly enjoyed the calamari starter as recommended by the server and I loved how there was even gluten free bread served before the starters! The servers were so friendly and accommodating and everything on the specials sounded so delicious. I went for the gluten free norcina and it was so lovely. Will definitely be back if I return to New York.
