Despite calling directly and using Open Table, they did not have my reservation. They quickly got a table together but it wasn’t the fireside table we’d requested, which was disappointing because it was a birthday celebration. The food was just so-so. The location was good as we were headed to Staples Center afterwards.

Excellent for Happy Hour or Dinner before an event or show at the Staples Center or Microsoft Theatre. Service was quick and very attentive. The outdoor patio is beautiful and very relaxing with sofas and canopies. The ambience is nice!

This place needs HELPPPPPP. My friends and I arrived here for a 7:15 reservation to have a quick bite and a cocktail before seeing Kelly Clarkson. The place was a wreck. After waiting past our reservation time we were sat on a couch...not a table...and it wasn’t even big enough for the 3 people in our group. We couldn’t care because we needed to eat quickly and move on. Everything was a disaster. Our food came. It was incorrect and missing key ingredients. How do you serve a Caesar salad with no dressing? We also in this moment realized that we never received any cutlery, sharing plates, or napkins...and our waitress had never returned to refill our water. We were also charged for something that we didn’t eat on our bill...our waitress forgot to order it so we cancelled it and asked her to take it off of our bill. The manager said she’d take it off and we gave her our cards in good faith that she would take it off and process our payment. As we were walking out I revised the amounts that we were charged. She never took the item off of our bill!!!! We were charged $14 for something we didn’t even eat!!!!!! I was talked out of going back by my friends as they just wanted to move on...but that’s super dishonest and I hope that if they or Luxe hotel want to uphold their reputation they’ll reach out to me to make it right. The whole experience...from the host stand, to the service...to the food was beyond disappointing. It’s such a beautiful location but also such a beautiful disaster.

My friends and I were in DTLA to see a concert at the Staples Center. Everywhere else within walking distance either had a ridiculous wait or required a reservation. We found NIXO on OpenTable and were able to walk right in and be seated immediately. We were given a semi-private cabana, which we all enjoyed. The staff was friendly and attentive, which was nice. The margaritas were top notch! Two of us had the house margarita and another friend had the spicy margarita. Both were fantastic! The food was decent and not ridiculously expensive (at least for DTLA). The only hiccup was that because the restaurant is recently under new management, the menu listed on OpenTable has not been updated and doesn't match their actual menu. Also, our party was asked for a credit card to have on hold, and our server charged the card before asking how we wanted to pay (we wanted to split the check). Other that that, NIXO seems like a hidden gem if you're looking for somewhere quieter and less crowded than the usual suspects.

As a location across the street from Staples Center, they were completely unprepared for pre-concert attendees. While the place wasn't packed, they were unable to take orders, get orders correct, nor service the table. The food was great, the ambiance was great, but the excuses given to us by the management was not.

The service was dreadful, the place was probably half full and it took 15 minutes to place an order and then another 15 for our two glasses of wine to show up. After a couple of good appetizers we finally had to go to the bar to close out our check. Food was good, service was terrible.

I had an amazing time with great service from the second I walked in someone greeted us right away. Our server was very attentive with a great positive attitude as well as the food was amazing. Overall great experience and will highly recommend this place.
