Love this place, vegetarians and omnivores will be dazzled. Wine list, cocktails are wonderful, and desserts satisfy, yet do not overwhelm. I dream about the fried cauliflower with steamed buns. A bit noisy, but bearable. Lovely staff, a total win.
Absolutely amazing experience. Service was incredibly informative and attentive and helped us choose dishes that we really liked.
Even though we made a reservation, we still had to wait an hour for a table, after being told it would only be "about 10 minutes".
Not worth the expensive price tag. Simplistic food, very small servings and none attentive or interested staff. Loud inside with no pleasant ambiance. Save your money and go check out another vegan/vegetarian restaurant like Dirt Candy. Mind blowing that this place has a Michelin star
A good casual vegetarian restaurant. As a vegetarian who adores amazing creative food I felt Nix was not quite as elevated and creative as I'd like it to be, but all around good. The staff was excellent.
Food used to be great. Not anymore. Did they change chefs?
We enjoyed this place. The food was well prepared and showed nice creativity. Cocktails were refreshing and our server was very professional and cordial. We will be back.
Hotrible. Food was terrible. I found a hair in my food.
Understaffed, some of the food was exquisite, some boring. Wines were very interesting. Quite dark.
Perfection - a big favorite restaurant and atmosphere
We love Nix! Best vegan food and delicious cocktails! Wish they'd open one in Westchester so we could come more often!
Visiting New York and I wanted to find some thoughtful vegan food. Nix was incredible. Not too stuffy of an atmosphere, the service was prompt and friendly. The food was out of this world. I’ll go back next we visit.
Nix is easily a great restaurant and one of the best places I've eaten during a trip to NYC. The food is straight forward and bold without sacrificing complexity; would highly recommend for anyone, but especially vegetarians.
The place has delicate ambience and food. Best for a date.
Simply the besssttt, better than alll the rest....Really, it's so good. Get the cauliflower!
Absolutely amazing meal, brunch is the perfect time to go, you get the same great food and service, but it's less crowded, it's a perfect start to the day with
The food was fantastic. Great entrees and drinks.
Lighting in the restaurant was a bit too dark. Dishes were also small so overall the meal was pricey.
Avocado small plate, cauliflower and stir fry entrees all outstanding
Food was far from good.
Food was great however service could be better from the host to the waitress as clearly being by myself (with reservation) seemed a bit of issue to the team
Incredible food, warm service
Easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had and to think it was completely vegetarian is mind-blowing! Loved everything about it and will definitely be going back. Also...Eddie the bartender was awesome and made some great recommendations and a great drink!
Nix is a special restaurant with delicious food and an elegant warm atmosphere. A neighborhood favorite. We took friends recently who fell in love the terrific creative recipes, with fresh ingredient, vegetarian and vegan choices, a great wine list and fun cocktails. If you choose the dumplings, order lots of helpings. They are so light and delicate and delicious, one just wants more of the bite-sized treats. A lovely experience.
They're very nice, and the ambience is very nice - but I think the food is highly overrated. There was a consistent sharp tang, probably lemon zest or lemon oil as part of it, that imparted the same flavor to much of the food regardless of the other ingredients, so the palate became repetitive, and hard to take. (They managed to obscure the taste of burrata, which baffles me - why would anyone do that??) They don't serve bread with the meal, so if you want something to sop up soft cheeses or soft polenta, you need to buy the naan (they call it tandoori bread, but that's basically naan) for that. However, the naan is the best thing we had on the menu, so...?
This was the second time we ate here, and it was better than we remembered. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious, healthy food. Highly recommend.
Quality of food has fallen off quite a bit. The cauliflower was soggy. Salad was mediocre and lacking past flavors.
The food was outstanding. I have been vegetarian/vegan gluten free for many years. I can’t remember having food as delicious as this. Truly wonderful
It was good - a bit noisy - most of the food was good. Did not like the tofu dish
It is expensive
Delicious food and warm, friendly service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to people living in or visiting New York.
It is unbelievable this restaurant it’s an holder of a one star Michelin.
The Michelin inspectors, were mentally disturbed when they was there ,for sure.
The food was really disappointingly.
The staff was very attentive and the service very good.
We found Nix somewhat randomly online, so came for Sunday brunch curious but with no particular expectations. Wow. This was one of the best meals we have had in New York. If vegetables could sing... they would taste like this. Everything we ordered was fresh, creative, balanced, delicious, and gorgeous; vegetarian cuisine at its best. The snap pea salad and egg in the hole were particular highlights (of the brunch menu), as was the lemon verbena/ginger iced tea. The portions were just right – not too much, not too little – and the service was both friendly and formally professional. The space has a welcoming vibe while remaining discreet. In all, we were charmed.
Fantastic veg restaurant!
Fantastic food, ambiance, service, wine and cocktails - cannot wait to come back!
Came to NYC with my daughter to celebrate her 21st birthday. Ate here at the recommendation of my son who had been here previously. The food was delicious! I could eat the gnocchi dish every day it was so yummy. The service was very good, also.
Great!!!! Fantastic Food and great service
A Celebration of Vegetables. Wonderful every time.
Waaaaay too noisy . Food is excellent though. Wine list overpriced ...not nearly enough low-medium priced bottles.
Nix is a hidden gem, no sign to catch your eye, just the name written very small and discretely on the door. The atmosphere was light and warm, the clientele as ecclectic and fun as the menu. We were a party of five and some of the group were not sure if they would enjoy an entirely vegetarian menu. Needless to say, everyone loved it. The tastes of the dishes were refined and clear, the combinations of foods in the dishes worked perfectly and the portions were appreciatively civilized! The staff could not have been more friendly, accommodating and helpful. We would all go back in a minute!
Nix is a must for any one who loves fine dining and inventive vegetarian dishes.
Decent food, a little pricey. Overall I'd say it's a good place for vegetarians.
Everything about this place was just average. The service. The food. Did they really get a Michelin star? If so this more a reflection of Michelin than this restaurant.
