Cocktails are exquisitely innovative, great wine list as well. the range of dishes is very impressive and offers something for every preference. overall very original items but they can be deceptively on the rich side. staff are very personable and the ambiance welcoming.
Excellent cuisine, nice to share so you can taste everything, but there is no interest in serving the dishes together. Better to serve in the right sequence to let the savours evolve.
(And the air conditioning makes you shiver...)
Fantastic as always!
The food was delicious. The service was excellent. Jesus was so attentive and helpful. The pineapple dessert was fabulous. I highly recommend Nix. You won’t even remember that it is vegetarian.
Loved the food! Excellent atmosphere and beautifully decorated. I would absolutely go back again!
I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. The food and service were exceptional, and the ambiance was the perfect balance of romantic and energetic. We will definitely return.
The restaurant used to be amazing - surprisingly amazing. Now it's just ok at best. Service is poor.
The service was super slow. We waited and waited for hummus
Wanted to try this vegetarian Michelin star restaurant with friends. The food was good but not excellent enough to justify the VERY HIGH price. We love fine dining and expected to pay a good amount but we also expected the food to match the price. There were creative dishes with unexpected ingredients that worked. The creative cocktails were also good, especially the signature Nix. However, we could have found this in NYC for half of the almost $600 we spent for 4 people. Our server was great but the ambiance could definitely be improved. One final comment- we do not recommend the strange tandoori pineapple dessert!
One of the few restaurants I’ve visited that far exceeded my expectations.
The food was absolutely phenomenal! Can’t wait to go back!
food has gone down hill and prices are too high. Really disappointed.
Awesome vegetarian food! Menu was unique.
Inventive and delicious food! Great service and atmosphere! Highly recommend Nix!
A lovely brunch - the food was amazing. The staff warm & friendly & responsive. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!
FANTASTIC!!! One of the best meals my husband and I have ever had. You MUST go here.
Expensive but great food
The food was amazing and our server great! The noice was a little loud but was moved this from 5 to 4 star was the person I called in advance to check our tabled and (I guess) the same person who greeted us at the door
My party and I tried multiple plates. You can't go wrong with any one of them. Our favorites were the eggplant dip, bread, and roasted pineapple. My cocktail (Playa II) was so good I ordered a few. Most importantly, the ambience, hospitality, and customer service was impeccable! Vegans can fine dine after all......
It was okay. Appetizers and lighter fare were interesting. Heavy dishes were not worth the price. Server was a little rude which made the experience lackluster.
Excellent all around! Friendly staff and delicious vegetarian and vegan options.
I’m not sure how this restaurant has a Michelin star. The food here isn’t bad, although I definitely would not recommend the the pancakes (they are more like cornmeal). I had the egg in the hole which was good, but just that, nothing unique or great. We also had the dips and the cauliflower which were not unique or special. Cocktails and service were good.
Delicious, expertly prepared vegan and vegetarian cuisine, served unobtrusively in an elegant room.
Incredible meal, from start to finish. Such wonderful service, from a very knowledgeable and friendly team. Perfect variety of vegetarian dishes, with each course being timed and paired wonderfully. Not a single misstep in the bunch. I was so happy with all of the guidance we received: from ordering the pineapple dessert when we order our meal to time it appropriately to how much we should order from each section. I can see why they have earned their Michelin Star and I will absolutely return on future trips to NYC.
Tasty food, but not amazing. Wine prices are high - expensive by the bottle and small pours by the glass. Really loud.
The dumplings are quite honestly one of the nicest things I have ever tasted anywhere! Simply fantastic and a genuinely great surprise. I almost wish that we just ordered multiple orders of that, but then we would have missed out on the rest of the amazing menu. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I am not a vegetarian (my girlfriend is, however, which kinda makes me one by proxy) but this is a restaurant that I would recommend to even the most carnivorous of my friends.
Food was beyond amazing and the service is always impeccable. I cannot say enough great things about Virginia who helped us with our reservation and ensured I had a wonderful birthday.
A nice vegetarian place but isn’t worth the hype. It was a good meal but a tad bit overrated. Would still recommend eating there but you could easily find restaurants of the same caliber throughout the city.
Service was generally friendly but spotty at times. It was annoying that other tables seated after us was getting prioritized before us.
Food was generally good. Especially the tandoor cooked items.
A bit loud.
Do not ever close this restaurant!!
LOVE NIX. The dumplings and cauliflower are my favorites! I could eat them over and over. Also the baked avocado - mmmmmm good!!
Must visit for vegetarians! Try the gnocchi. Bit dark in the restaurant
An almost perfect evening. We were greeted by the warmest of waitresses, who served us amazing food and wine. The option of a vegetarian or vegan menu was really appreciated. The space itself was very cool and buzzing though you didn't feel on top of other diners. The only let down was the slow down in service at the very end. 95% perfect. Would absolutely go again when in NY.
My favorite restaurant in the west village. Hope it will be open for the next 20 yrs!
An extraordinary vegetarian extravaganza! I particularly like the way the order of the dishes wasn't based on size but on the depth and size of flavour. The tofu-skin pockets, sweet potato, tomatillo-pepito salsa were amazing and I was surprised by the exquisite Indian flavours. I also tried the Cauliflower tempura with steamed buns & house pickles. Both dishes were substantial, incredibly flavoursome and I really didn't need to eat them AND dessert - but it was just too good not to. When it came to dessert I had the puffs with passion fruit and cinnamon dips and left the wine choice up to the knowledgeable bar staff who matched it beautifully. I almost wept at the range of choice on the menu (not a vegetable stack in sight!) and the service of all the staff was impeccable. As a vegetarian, I am often left with a second class meal made up of whatever leftovers the chef can throw together...this was such a thoughtful food experience and worth spending hours appreciating. My only gripe is that as a single diner I don't love being constantly seated at the bar, with the constant explanation "we are overbooked". I understand the $-driven reasoning, but there was such a disappointing mismatch between eating such sophisticated food, being served incredible wines, with such attentive service - while teetering awkwardly for several hours on a bar stool, trapped between a squabbling couple, the jars of cocktail garnishes and a wine bucket, leaving barely enough room to put one's glass down (I'm so sorry for the spillage). It was an incredible meal and I would recommend it to anyone who simply loves great food and appreciates excellent service, just perhaps not the best for the solo diner who needs some room to delight in the experience.
Vegan or vegetarian, even gluten free, the menu offers some really interesting choices. The staff was really nice. My only pet grievance is that when the plates are served the waiter should not have his thumb on any portion of the plate (which this one guy did). That bothers me, but maybe its just me! Otherwise, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to really be entertained by excellent food.
If you are a vegetarian, go. The food is delicious and appears casual, but is actually complex and interesting and delicious.
Amazing as always! Food is delicious and the vegan and vegetarian options are great!
Great service great food. Some really inventive dishes. Nice place for special occasions.
The service was excellent and we all agreed it was one of our best meals in NYC. The restaurant is quite loud so if you want intimacy this is not the place. The grilled pineapple dessert is not to be missed!
