Great vegetarian brunch! So many interesting choices. Will definitely come back-would love to try the dinner menu. Service was fantastic.
We were excited to try an inventive vegetarian place but found it lacking in inventiveness. Service was subpar, portions were small, and the food just was generally uninspired. I don’t like to be so harsh, but I think they need to step up their efforts, esp in a city like NYC where there’s so much competition and a great brunch can be found on every block.
We were a bit disappointed with the food in regards to the price and the Michelin star. The service was also a bit slow.
One of the best places I’ve been in the city in a while. Phenomenal food and great service. We will most definitely be back!
Loved it! Great selections and unique taste. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
I took my boyfriend for celebration and we ordered total 6 dishes (1 avocado dip, roasted beet, ribben salad, yam dish, gnocchi and ginger cake) with 2 cocktails. We can only said that we like 2 dishes (beet and gnocchi) and others are pretty bad. After tax and tips, the bill end up $180. We were hungry after we left the restaurant so we went for ice cream and visited a dessert place after. I will not recommend it to anyone.
One of our favorite places to dine in NYC. We initially went here for an anniversary celebration and the staff were amazing making us feel welcome.
In addition, the food is amazing, can especially recommend the tempura cauliflower and the gnochi.
Server definitely did not want to be there, but the food was still good.
Amazing food. We are looking forward to coming back to this restaurant, and we are not even vegetarians!
Wish it was 100% vegan. Wish it wasn't quite as LOUD -- hard to carry on a conversation.
Food quality was excellent and so were the drink options. Service was slow, wait staff had to be beckoned many times. Worth going to if one enjoys vegetarian cuisine.
Fantastic date spot
I had a great time at Nix and enjoyed the service, ambiance, food, drinks, etc. While all the dishes were tasty, none of them particularly impressed me. For the price point, I believe there are many better vegetarian/vegan places in the city out there - although those are likely not to have the prestige of having a Michelin star.
Best vegetarian food so delicious
🥳 a fabulous place to celebrate a quiet Birthday 🥳
Excellent food and service
The food was delicious. We were adviced to share plates, which honestly was a bit silly. The portions were so small (even the ones we were told were more generous). It takes quiet some dishes for two to feel full. With that being said, it was delicious and nicely present and all staff we interacted with were very nice.
Absolutely fantastic experience. The food was exquisite, the service was excellent (best service we’ve had in New York). Wine prices are expensive, the mark up is very high on a pretty standard wine selection, but other than that - loved it.
Excellent vegetarian fare with elegant details. Particularly enjoyed the dips and Tandoor oven made fresh bread.
15 minutes after being seated no service. Ask hostess. 10 minutes, still no drinks - or anything besides water on table. Worst service in years. They covered price of drinks that arrived 30 minutes after being seated, and offered us a round of drinks. Nice gesture. But getting people served drinks quickly is baseline competence. Food order was mixed up as well. Out of 3 entrées only one was standout - other two we make better at home. Disappointed. Really wanted to like this place.
The food was very good. But they didn't have enough wait staff to take and run orders. The tables are VERY close together.
Excellent on every level
Cannot even begin to put adjectives on how great our experience was. The flavors were indescribably delicious - the ambiance was exceptional, the service was perfection. The dishes are small, so you order many items- but the quality is so fabulous that you do not bat an eyelash. I would go back for sure.
Absolutely phenomenal meal. We got 6 dishes and my partner and I were practically licking each plate clean. Service was incredibly friendly and on point. Wine selection was solid. I would highly, highly recommend Nix and will certainly be dining again.
Nix was lovely. It is rare to find a level of cooking and service in NYC that is this accomplished, gracious and accessible.
Most disappointing meal I’ve had in NY for quite some time. The fact this place got a Michelin star is very strange indeed.
Amazing food and wonderful service! My new favorite restaurant. Highly recommend!
This was a truly amazing meal. Beginning to end. Well-deserved Michelin star.
I have been enjoying NIX since it first opened a couple years ago. The food has been consistently amazing from the beginning. This visit was my favorite yet (if that is even possible) because they added some fantastic dishes to the menu. The first course dips course has a new option - a reduced tomato preserve, that went amazing with the hummus. The curry dish was also incredible. I highly recommend to anyone who likes eating food.
The food was incredible - divine! Small portions, but creative and fantastic.
Excellent service from the host and wait staff. Lovely decor, just the right noise level.
Food was very good, however the stir fry was topped by odd seaweed squares, which were off putting for myself who dislikes seafood. It didn’t permeate into the food, which was still good. Pineapple dessert was fantastic.
Absolutely outstanding food that is worth the trip. Service and ambiance are both fine, but create an overall experience that is not at the same level as the food.
Great food, terrific staff!
Everything perfect, food was incredible as well as service. Liked everything from top the bottom, my fav was the bread and rice though.
The food was wonderful and we had a lovely time. We went early (6:30) and it was relatively quiet/mild hubbub for the first hour, but by the end we could barely hear each other. That was the only blemish on a terrific experience.
Terrific vegan dishes. Everything outstanding.
We went for my wife’s bday and had a fantastic experience. They have all fresh vegetables and unique dishes that are unlike any other vegetarian restaurant I’ve been to in the city. We had the Jean Ginglinger Pinot Blanc(Alsace) and it was perfect to balance out the spice of my dish. Great value
The dishes are tasty but expensive. The spicy tofu is nothing special as well as the roti bread. The dessert is pretty good but could use a little something. The interior is bland and forgettable.
Dinner is a treat so was excited to try brunch. Dinner is definitely the clear winner still. Brunch menu is pretty boring honestly. Pretty basic. Coconut yogurt was delicious. Husband had eggs freestyle and they were fine. Malted potatoes were odd and skin stuck to my teeth. Will go again but likely for dinner.
Love this place, vegetarians and omnivores will be dazzled. Wine list, cocktails are wonderful, and desserts satisfy, yet do not overwhelm. I dream about the fried cauliflower with steamed buns. A bit noisy, but bearable. Lovely staff, a total win.
