   Chanel is an amazing server! She’s very experienced and educated, we all appreciated her recommendations on the menu. Nisos is consistently amazing every single time. I recommend this restaurant to everyone!

   Honestly the fish tastes old and the octopus was terrible. Small menu and smaller cocktail menu. There was no parking even tho there was “valet” If you want real Greek food with quality ingredients check out psisteria in Lincolnwood. All the famous athletes and stars go there and there is always room for walk ins.

   Would not go back. Expected good food, however the octopus had inconsistent tastes across the dish. The sea bass was supposed to be deboned at the table, however all four of us had to pull a fish bone from our mouth. For the price very undervalued and not worth it. Go to RPM seafood if you want to eat good quality food and you’ll pay the same amount. Very disappointed.

   Enjoyed the beautiful fish, amazing ceviche and the ambience. And the dessert (pavlova cheesecake) was almost too pretty to eat. But we did, and it was the perfect ending to a beautiful dinner. I am Greek and quite picky about my Greek food. This was a Great dining experience.

    Despite’s going to lunch at a fairly slow business hour drinks took 7-9 minutes from ordering to delivery. Also the salami genoa sandwich was an absolutely poor excuse for a meal. Basically a croissant maybe 3 ounces of salami and some cheese for $17 give me a break. Pick up the quality.

    Reservations for Nisos are a commodity, but definitely worth the wait and checking weekly to see what times are available. This is definitely a type of restaurant you would find in Athens opened by one of the newer chefs that are presenting elevated Greek food. The service was outstanding, Shane our waitperson was very knowledgeable about the menu and suggestions. Great cocktail and wine offerings. Do not miss the taramosalata (not only tastes like what you would find in Greece, but a work of art on the plate), tiropita and a MUST is the horiatiki salata. We ordered the salt encrusted fish, for the price point I would order the grilled next time (as I'm not sure there would be such a big difference in taste). Having said that, the fish was super fresh and tasted like it was just brought into the kitchen from the ocean. The only reason I did not give 5 overall stars was due to the staff person presenting the fish and deboning. He could not have been less interested!!! He was too busy checking out the table of 6 people (ie is that table more important than the 2 at my table????) He also did not do a good job of deboning the fish. But aside from him, I can't wait to go back!

    This was the worst dining experience I’ve had, maybe ever. There is something really wrong with this place. They insist that you order all courses up front. Had I tasted the appetizer before ordering the sea bass I would have politely left. We felt trapped and each dish was worse than the next. it was a nightmare. I question if maybe the oil was rancid, but that wouldn’t explain the tar tar that was like canned cat food. Even the bread was inedible. How do you screw up bread? I had to get up and leave to walk down the block and get a cup of coffee. Horrible experience.

    Overall, we were very impressed with our experience at Nisos. We tried a wide variety of dishes, our favorites being The Horiatiki Salad, Crispy Airbag Potatoes, and Signature Whole Salt Crusted Sea Bass, and Bone in Ribeye. The ceviche and tiropita were good, but didn't quite make the favorites list. We also had the Octopus and Prawns, but felt the fava puree was overpowering the flavor of the octopus and the prawns were served as 4 large prawns in a large dish of orzo, which we overall were not impressed with. The truffle mashed potato mousse had lovely flavor, but the consistency is paste like, so that was not what we expected. To cap it all off we enjoyed the pavlova's cheesecake, which must be one of the best desserts I've ever had, along with the chocolate dessert, which was a mouse, sorbet combo along with their home make chocolate pop rocks, which was fun to try. Overall, had a lovely experience. Staff was excellent, ambiance was great, and food was very good. Highly recommend this restaurant for larger groups so you can try a variety of dishes.

    Very good food, highly suggest the lamb which was excellent. Also, enjoyed my cocktail but was a little chilly with the draft from the door but loved the music and ambiance.

    The ambiance was amazing and the food was delicious but unfortunately the service was horrible and our waiter was not helpful in making informed recommendations to us. 5/6 of us ordered chicken and there was only two chicken dishes left in the entire restaurant. Our waiter did not inform us of portion sizing and we significantly over-ordered and he did not inform us of the wagyu being a 4 oz minimum - a good waiter would share that to let guests know what they’re in for price wise - I was shocked by the price when getting the bill, though I understand the general price of wagyu. It seemed like he was purposely deceiving us to boost the bill. We were also an hour late to our next reservation because the service was so slow.

    Beautiful interior, the selections for different diets it’s impressive. The plating is STUNNING, the fish - fresh and so so good. The whipped feta salad was a nice balance when enjoyed with the sea bass - our waiter was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions for our experience and the service was just perfect. The noise level is on the higher side and the music is lively - if you’re looking for a beautiful spot to get dressed up and treat yourself with some friends for a fun night out this is it!

    Seabass was just ok , not a lot of flavor and it had tons of bones so it was difficult to eat - server didn’t do a good job of filleting it at the table. No vegetables on the menu and side dish wasn’t great. The restaurant has a nice ambiance but the experience is not worth the money

    This is a beautiful space with beautiful patrons. The food is average to good - we’d return for the atmosphere but not the food. The cocktail we had was good, the wine pour was stingy.

    Waited over one hour in between starters and main course with little attentiveness during that period. Drinks were empty for at least half of that time and we were not checked in on. Appears that there was a function going on on the second level and the kitchen could not keep up with servicing both that function and the main dining room. Food was just ok. The salt crusted fish is more gimmick than anything and could use a sauce to supplement at a minimum. Also - while the menu says serves 4, it barely served 2 adult men.

    The service was fantastic. Shane was a wonderful server who took great care of us and problem solved when items were no longer available. The chef came over and was very welcoming. The food and the drinks were great. I highly recommend the chicken and every dessert was delicious. Also, because we were celebrating multiple members of the staff came over to congratulate our team’s win, which was very thoughtful.

    Disappointing experience. Brought my wife to Nisos for our 2 year anniversary and first night out, away from our newborn. We were the first couple there, ordered first, but the 3 couples that arrived after us received their appetizers before us. We overheard the server telling the table next to us that they mistakenly gave our only 2 appetizers to them and they could finish it free of charge. Meanwhile we kept waiting for 45 minutes with no apology and no food… On top of that, after ordering our main course and waiting for several minutes, the server came to our table and said they ran out of the dish my wife ordered (moussakas). I will say, the sea bass was delicious (thankfully as it’s+$100). Drinks are pricey but nothing special. Overall ambiance and decor is nice too but the poor service leaves me no choice but to give them 2 stars. If you want to treat your person to a special and romantic greek dinner, there are way better options in west loop and river north.
