Brilliant sushi ingredients and execution. Timely, friendly and professional service. The owner Chris came over to check on delivery to expectations. Sincere and friendly. Nishi is not for those on a tight budget however foodies will find good value here. We will always come back.
One of our new favourite restaurants. The food was excellent. My husband had the cottage pie and said best he had ever eaten. I had the ginger chicken and excellent. We will definitely return. Beautiful decor. Quiet and lovely. Great service.
We ate here on our 2nd evening and was suitably impressed with food and decor.A little expensive,so is everywhere though.
Would definitely recommend and will come again.
Perfect! Wonderful food and service. We had satay and dim sum to start, followed by rock and roll sushi & teriyaki. Cheesecake for dessert. All cooked to perfection. Friday night courtyard music excellent. Owner visited our table which was nice. You can see why this gets great ratings.
We are regular diners at Nishi and are never disappointed .
The consistancy in the food and service is second to none and we would highly recommend it to anyone .
Best eatery on the island .!
S. and A.
We had a reservation and by the time we arrived, our table was ready. The place is well decorated with a romantic setting like low lights and candles on the table. The food was delicious!!!! The price was the only thing that didn't please me, I wish I could go more often, but I can't afford It. Other than that, It was a pleasant and delicious dinner.
This was my first time at Nishi and it was fantastic. From the time I walked in the service was exceptional and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. In addition to the excellent service the food not only looked appetizing but it tasted just as scrumptious as it looked. I’d definitely recommend to friend who wants a quiet and intimate dinner.
Valentines dinner. We was both disappointed with our fish, I was dry and was meant to come with hand cut chips, bits was skinny fries.
Excellent food but over the top expensive. Recommend consideration of a bank loan if you bring the family.
Setting was nice enough. However the dessert was a poor way to end what was a reasonably good meal.
First time to Nishi, food, service and atmosphere was fantastic, Come to Barbados have to dine here.
As always the chefs at Nishi prepared us a wonderful meal which was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us.
Fantastic food as usual and great atmosphere.
The best restaurant on the island !,
Steve and Amanda sims
Barbados charges high prices. Make sure the food reflects that. It’s a challenge
Courtyard ambience was excellent, busy but very little peripheral chatter. Food was excellent, incorrect order on my wife’s main meal was quickly rectified.
Service professional but not overbearing, nice touch from the owner with a short chat.
A little pricey but overall great evening
Nishi never disappoints. This must be my 8th time coming here and I never get tired of it. My favourite is the sushi. In particular the Lobster Maki. The Volcano sushi is also good.
The staff and owners are very friendly and nice. The ambience very warm in inviting.
I will definitely be back.
Great food and great live music (Friday nights). Well worth a try.
Very nice restaurant serving good food in pleasant setting. The terrace is nicely enclosed though the aircon meant a long sleeve shirt would not go amiss. Recommended and we will go again.
Nishi has an elegant and intimate atmosphere. The owners introduced themselves and checked on each table personally to ensure that each patron was satisfied. The food was delicious and well plated. Would undoubtedly recommend.
You have to be in the 'know' when booking a table at Nishi! Best to give them a call as there is upstairs and outside dining which has a better feel and vibe than inside (downstairs). As the locals (their valued costumers) are given the better tables book well in advance so not to be disappointed. The food is very good but definitely on the expensive side and we found the service to be poor at times..... There are plenty of great resturants in the Holetown area (e.g. Tides) that will give you a special experience as well as cheaper ones that also serve excellent food - so explore!
Thank you Michael, i remember speaking to you and your wife when visiting tables last Friday. The Company's motto is that all customers that take the time and trouble to visit Nishi are valued customers. Sorry that we couldn't sit in your preferred seating but in all fairness you only booked your table 24hrs prior and we had 110 diners last Friday. You are right the Tides is a fabulous restaurant and Guy and Tammie are good friends of ours, although i don't believe we are more expensive. Chris
Everything was lovely - service, food, drink. Steak was the best we’ve had on the island. Lovely that Chris, one of the owners, took the trouble to come and chat. The staff were excellent - attentive without being obsequious. The cheesecake was divine and a generous portion. Would definitely recommend Nishi. Only quibble is that we could have done with some decent chips instead of a rather meagre portion of a French fries.
Local area gas failure as we arrived !!
Still managed excellent meal on reduced menu
Great manager. Could not do enough for us
Would certainly go again
Great place all round
Excellent menu choices and very enjoyable dinner with extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Nice atmosphere and good service. The wait staff were attentive and very pleasant. Food was to a good standard with the steaks cooked perfectly. The only comment which is not unique to NISHI is that it was overpriced.
Overall experience was pleasantly memorable! The co-owner was very engaging to make our evening an enjoyable one.
Superb food let down by service
Owner, Chris, was very friendly
First time here and I must say I was fully impressed. Sushi was top class, service excellent, ambiance was lovely. My new favorite sushi spot when I'm in Barbados.
We ate at Nishi twice during our 4 week stay in Barbados, the owner was very friendly and helpful and this added a nice touch to the evening. Some of us had not had much sushi so the staff guided us through the menu, I thought the bento box was amazing for a novice!! We ate in the courtyard both times and the ambience was special.
We would recommend Nishi and will definitely return, our favourite restaurant of the holiday 😁
Best sushi that I've had in Barbados. I especially loved the Seafood Bisque....yum. Looking forward to my next visit.
Great restaurant sushi was great
Incredibly accommodating food options for dietary issues (especially as it was a set NYE menu)
Friendly, efficient, accommodating staff
Lovely room and ambiance
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening
Great food. Not to be missed. Host / owner Chris is very welcoming. Food could be served a little hotter and more options for wine by the glass would be good. Great selection of sake and sushi / sashimi plus other non-Japanese food options.
Excellent food and service, a must visit, extensive wine list and a very diverse menu to suit all types
The best sushi restaurant on the island that also serves British and European dishes.
Quite simply the best Sushi you are likely to find. The host, Chris, was very helpful in explaining the menu and all his recommendations were delicious. There is live music on friday nights but unfortunately we were in the main room, so couldn't hear it, which was a shame. Would definitely go again though
Lovely owner, exceptional sushi rolls, nice outside ambience.
Nishi continues to serve the best variety and quality of (unique) maki rolls anywhere in the world. The Goszilla, Volcano and Lobster should not be missed if visiting the island
Tout est parfait pour une deuxième fois la soupe un peux trop concentré et trop salée à revoir.
Good food and friendly efficient service
Excellent food and great service but on the pricier side of restaurants.
