Remix of a classic. Whatever you want to call it, we believe the old world methods of making food - making things by hand, from scratch, cooking meat low and slow, using real foods rather than processed - is the proper way. So we’ve perfected these traditional ideas and applied our unique, young spin into every one of our recipes- focusing on flavor pairings rather than the status quo- to bring you our own, signature experience we call “Nino viejo”.

Carne Asada Steak Fries
Hand cut fries smothered in carne asada steak, cheese, pico and cilantro
Crispy shredded beef tacos with melted chihuahua cheese and red chili broth for dipping
This place is so underrated. The birria tacos were so bomb and they have the yummiest jalapeño margarita.
By far the worse Mexican (Latin) food I've ever eaten. Might be top 5 in the worse meals I've ever had. 2 bites and done with my Chicken Pollo that was covered in a horrible tasting sauce. The waitress laughed it off and the manager never showed. Paid for our drinks and left to eat somewhere else. I would recommend Taco Bell over this place any day of the week.
Food was incredible. Ryan was fabulous! Would go again.
Nino Viejo has been one of our favorite spots at Station Park. The food has typically been very flavorful. Unfortunately that wasn't the case on this visit. The chicken was very bland in the tacos and flautas, and there was too much avacado on the apple jicama tacos, that you couldn't taste the apple or the jicama. The margaritas were good though. The lack of staffing was definitely having an effect. Our server was very nice, but spread too thin with all the tables she had to cover. Wasn't a good visit this time, but we will be back.
The food was good overall. I had the flautas which were strangely very tough and dry but everyone else loved their entrees. Cocktails were amazing! We sat at a very nice table with plenty of room all around us but some of the areas of the restaurant were very cramped and would have made me nervous in regards to very close proximity to others without masks. None of the staff were masked which was surprising to me. Also we got rushed to pay before being asked afterward if we wanted anything else and had 2 different servers who didn’t seem to be talking to each other. It felt like they wanted us to hurry up and leave.
Service was great. Quick seating and attentive wait staff. Pretty good ambience. Tapas were good. Very disappointed in portions for the price. Kitchen was out of some items and didn’t communicate that to wait staff so a few orders came incomplete. They were super awesome to comp an appetizer to make up for it. Wish we would have known certain food was out before ordering. Our table tried five different types of tacos and all were pretty good. Shrimp enchiladas were disappointing as I had to search for shrimp in them rather than shrimp being the star of the dish.
Overall food was good, but the value was poor for what it cost.
Low value for the price. $46 for an 6-8 oz skirt steak and fries is robbery. Tacos are $5-6 each.
My daughter and I had dinner while Birthday shopping. The food was delicious. I had the chicken tacos and she had the kids quesadilla. We also shared the steak fries. We were seated quickly and our food came out very fast. This was great for us because we were in a hurry. if you are wanting a more relaxed dinner you may want to let them know to space the food out a little more. Our server was busy but she checked in numerous times. Would definitely eat here again.
Love this place!!!!
Food was good. Took a while to get the food. That had a lot parties.
The carne asada fries were good. Good value with lots of toppings. The asada tacos on the other hand, not much to them and fairly expensive since they don’t come with rice and beans. I got a coconut mojito that was great and an avocado Margarita that was pretty good but there were a few chunks of avocado I sucked up through the straw that weirded me out. The service was ok. We were seated and then not acknowledged for 10 min. After that throughout the time, multiple servers came to the table, all confused about whether we had ordered or received things. They just weren’t on the same page. It wasn’t bad but we probably won’t be back.
The food was decent and margaritas were great! Their salsa is really good and complimentary. If you like casamigos tequila they have a dressing on the papaya salad that tastes similar to it. Just make sure you review your bill because we were overcharged by a lot, compared to the actual price of the items and had to get corrected.
Service was terrible. Our waitress didn’t come to our table for almost 20 minutes after we were seated. Drinks came out after dinner. Waited another 30 minutes for food. Overpriced. Small portions and food was mediocre at best. We will never go back and will recommend to everyone not to go.
The food was not impressive. Ordered the shrimp ceviche, shrimp tacos, chorizo tacos, and the birra tacos. The shrimp ceviche had a pretty decent flavor but very little shrimp. The birra tacos (pot roast) did not have much meat. Mainly a big piece of fat. It was also supposed to come with a chili broth for dipping the tacos. It was only the fat drippings. The chorizo taco was to come with spicy pickled onions and didn't which would of helped the dish immensely.
Excellent! A must visit at Farmington Station. Delicious margaritas.
The receptionist spaced out our reservation despite us standing there for 10 minutes waiting for our table. (she said it was being cleaned and then forgot to get us, until I asked, to be seated.)
Our server was very nice and service was good.
I thought the presentation could be better. The 2 taco serving seemed to get lost on the big plate. Not serving rice and beans as part of the meal, and being charged separately for them seems odd.
You have to try the Steak Fries. Soooo yummy. Honestly, every tee ate was yummy. Highly recommended.
This was my second try of this restaurant. It has great food that is flavorful and well-made. The only problem is the service yet again was not up to oar. We ordered an appetizer, salad, and two entrees. The salad came out and then about 2 min later, everything else arrived. It felt SO rushed! We didn't even have our drinks up yet. The server vacillated between checking on us every couple minutes to ignoring us for 20 min when all we wanted were boxes and the check. Never got water refills or asked if we wanted another round of drinks.
Regarding food, my mom loved the house salad and spicy dressing. We shared chicken enchiladas and birria tacos. I thought the enchiladas were delicious. The birria tacos were very greasy but tasted good. The dipping sauce was half oil so I abandoned it. Because of the pace and everything arriving together, we kind of wasted the Carne asada fries, but they were crispy and beef tender. The coconut mojitos were delicious!
If they can work on their service, it would be great!
We had tacos and the tamale tapas plate, the chorizo tacos were fantastic. The tamales were some of the best we have had here in Utah!
Nice people, fair food, fair prices especially for a nicer area. Seems like a decent value to me.
I came here once with my friend and our kids and we had a great experience! So I wanted to bring my boyfriend here. We both loved it. The server was excellent and the food was amazing. They have a vegan option for the tacos. The vibe is super cool and not what you expect for Farmington. Feels more downtown SLC which was nice. I will return many times!
The food is… ok. The salsa for the chips were made with canned tomato which is not good at all. The food was ok, but the guacamole was sour and had too much vinegar flavor. The music was awful for a dinner place it sounds like a teenager room environment. It’s sad, we had higher expectations for the place.
My experience at Nino Viejo was delightful. The hostess was lovely, and our waiter was helpful and patient as we were taking a million years to order. The food was exceptional! I loved the Al Pastor tacos!! We will be back very soon!
Creative menu. Good food. Good drinks. Good service. Music is a little loud. Employees all said nothing they can do. Must be the owner cares more about his entertainment than his customer's conversations. But the food is good enough to return anyways.
Great servers! Food is yummy
Great and original mexican, Hip Vibe. Apps & D'serts are awesome
Service was slow. Bartender was not able to make
The right drink. The place was not organized
We were seated and then ignored for at least 10 min. We watched as the waitress of our section greeted took orders of the other tables around us and talked with other servers. I actually had to wave her over. When we were ready to order I asked for a recommendation between 2 dishes and she said neither are my favorite. When the food came out it wasn’t hot and my alpastor had a gritty mouth feeling. We also orders the donuts and they were so dense and greasy that we didn’t even eat them. Over all I wasn’t impressed ans will not be back
absolutely delicious food, every-time. Personnel are so friendly and helpful.
The menu didn't have many options, i expected more from this restaurant. We ordered an appetizer. However, one of the entrees was served before it even arrived...which was weird. There wasn't much to drink that wasn't alcoholic, which was disappointing. We were seated quickly though, which was nice.
The food was outstanding and our waiter was enthusiastic and helped with choices making this a really enjoyable afternoon lunch
Awesome! Delicious! Great service. Drinks, food and atmosphere!! All great!
Ordered my meal. Only half my meal showed up. Was planning on asking the waitress where the rest of it was when she came back. Never showed up until the end, after I was done with what I had and my wife’s my food was all gone. I asked about the rest of my food and she was apologetic. She offered to put the rest of my food in a container to take it with me. I kindly declined because we were shopping. Got my check and maybe I’m the one who was in the wrong here, but I expected a small percentage off for forgetting literally half my food. The food we did have was great, but it’s hard for me to rate all the food when I didn’t get it.
The food was just ok, but admittedly, we have picky taste, and it came across as a little bland. We ordered the Al Pastor and Birria Tacos. The tacos were basically just tortillas with meat, little or no other ingredients. Don’t get me wrong, the meat and tortillas were made well, and on their own were great ingredients to a street taco dish, but shouldn’t have been the only ingredients. (I’ll note here that the birria tacos came with a few pickled carrots and onions on the side.) The birria tacos were served with a (french dip-like) dipping sauce which would have been much better if they had skimmed the fat off the top first. The sauce was very oily/greasy. Both dishes would have been much better if they had served them with more ingredients — e.g. pico de gallo, red sauce, onions, jalapeños, lime, etc. — as traditional street tacos usually have. Maybe their other dishes are better, but we weren’t very impressed with what we ordered.
I met a friend for lunch. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. The food was fabulous. We both had the carne asada tacos. The chips and salsa were wonderful.
Restaurant is very nice, service was great, the coconut mojito was delish! Unfortunately, the food is just okay.
Food was delicious. The carne asada fries were amazing. We had red snapper tacos and chicken flautas that were great portions and left so full we couldn’t eat it all.
Such amazing food. My third time here and I haven’t had anything I didn’t love. It’s making it harder to choose now because I love everything I’ve had!
I was really disappointed. The service was slow to get to us about 20 minutes before we even got our drink order. The Food was way salty and over cooked and prices too high for that. We won't be back because a miss on the food for that price isn't worth another disappointment.
Staff are extremely kind and service is prompt! Had the Queso Poblano, Asada Tacos, and Churro Donuts. Amazing flavor! Make a reservation because this place fills up quick.
