Great food and atmosphere. Wait not to long. Great margaritas.
Tamales were mushy and not good at all. Fajitas so so...not like the original Ninfas.
Excellent service from our waitress Ashlee.
Such a great experience ..... great food, great fun, great prices
Excellent guacamole and sangria - big sharable portions - chips and salsa were so delish! Highly recommended!
Good food! Good service!!
Fajitas are best in town. Beef or Chicken. I usually get the Large combo beef and chicken. Great portion for a split with my Girlfriend. Chili con queso is delicious.
Friend get together to celebrate a birthday. Good service and food .
killer experience for all!
consistently great food and drink
Fantastic Valentines dinner with my wife
Really good service with even better food, order the pibil.
Brought great friends from out of town and it was fantastic as always.
Wonderful experience..reservation was read..wait staff was perfect. Food was outstanding
Took a very long time to get water and then a long time each time to get that water glass filled back up
Ernesto was fantastic !
Best steak fajitas !!! EVER! Awesome waiter, Michael! Great queso flameado!! ! Just best Mexican food ,I have ever eaten! The homemade tortillas and margaritas are incredible too!!
Three of us had an early dinner before the Opera. Seating was easy, we had a reservation at 5pm but the greeter still messed us up by telling us about the third person "he is already seated." It wasn't a he and she hadn't yet arrived. We were sent wandering around the large restaurant looking, all to no avail. (Along our journey we were subjected to sour plumbing smells in the dining room!) When we reported back to the reservation desk we are placed at a table in an almost empty back room, which was drafty on the rainy, chilly afternoon. My plate, Chiles Rellenos was not very hot, despite the servers warning about the hot plate (he was serving in bare hands anyway.) Similarly, my wife's tacos. Our third had a bowl of soup and that was probably the only hot food on the table. She reported it was excellent. My Chiles Rellenos looked old, reheated, tired, wrinkly, and, as I said, was not hot. Cheese was quite congealed. Service was attentive and water refilled but overall, the dinner was a disappointment. I've had good meals at Ninfa's previously, but this past Saturday night was a dud.
Food was unmemorable and nothing special. Server made us feel like her goal was to get us out as fast as possible
Food was delicious as always. It was very crowded for a Saturday late afternoon but once again , we very much enjoyed our experience.
The fajitas were great (as always!) but maybe that's the margarita talking? Nope - although the margarita was great, also. I've never had a bad meal here - and the service is always just right! Thanks, Ernesto!
Everything is amazing
I generally have a good experience every time I visit this location, but the cortado I was served today was perfect!
Always a fun outing with great food in a historic Houston institution.
I ordered the mole salmon - i expected a mole sauce so that was disappointing but the dish was properly cooked and tasty.
The tres leche was different than any I’ve had - with the toasted marshmallow fluff - and it was DELICIOUS!! Amazing how that really made an already awesome dessert better.
My friends had the fajitas and it was tasty as always.
Best beef fajitas in the world!!!!
Updated recipe. Waiter said they switched to grilling over wood.
Excellent food and service, THANK YOU, TINA. A "5 star" experience.
The absolute BEST tacos I've ever had! This was my 4th time at Ninfa's, on my second trip to Houston. My wife and I make a point to visit Ninfa's on Navigation, and we're never disappointed. The sauteed shrimp in garlic and butter, the ground beef brisket tacos, and the shredded chicken tacos are all amazing! If you have the chance, make sure to eat at the original, Ninfa's on Navigation!
Food was great service was very good tables not ample enough for large groups
Great food and drinks! The atmosphere is laid back, very family friendly. Very smooth service.
As self-proclaimed experts on Tex-Mex, we were all really pleased with the service, and the food was fantastic! We will be coming back here. Worth the 35 minute drive from the north side.
We've been going to Ninfa's Navigation for over 20 years! Great food, great service, great atmosphere!!!
insipid rice, tasteless charro beans, dull taco. a ghost of former self. not worth going back - total disappointment.
there are much better Mexican places in Houston!
When my brother comes to visit from Canada we ALWAYS have to take a trip to Ninfas on Navigation! It is his favorite! Excellent service, great atmosphere and awesome food!
Christmas eve family tradition!!! Always a favorite.
We have been going to Ninfas for 36 years. The current owners have kept enough of the original staff to make it seem like nothing has changed. Meanwhile they have made lots of improvments and lots of menu specials. Just a great place!!
Went with the old school favorites...tacos, fajitas, quesadillas and nachos.
All were great. Service was outstanding! Got one take-out meal for a relative who couldn't attend the party. That was ready to go right on time.
The original Ninfa's is a must for first time Houston visitors. They've mastered Tex-Mex with some really special dishes. The salmon mole is outstanding, I would highly recommend. The ceviche is fresh and beautiful, and the chiles rellenos are authentic and full of flavor. The atmosphere is wonderful and lively, great for any occasion. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the neighborhood!
Ninfa's on Navigation is quite an exceptional Mexican restaurant with great ambience and wide menu varieties of Mexican cuisine. However, make sure to make a reservation in advance especially on weekends and the crowd can be enormous and will have to be prepared to wait even with pre-booking. We have to wait for 30 minutes for a 6.15pm reservation for our table.
I ordered chicken breast WITHOUT green bell pepper, Tina brought food with bell pepper. I ordered $13.00 margarita, over 3/4 of glass was ALL ice.... I had to emphasize NOT to make
the margarita with ALL ice and hardly any liquor... Customer should not have to audit the food
order, to make certain it is brought to the table accordingly...
