Ninfa's on Navigation
Located on Navigation Boulevard just minutes from the heart of downtown Houston, the Original Ninfa's was all started with Mama Ninfa Laurenzo's creative TexMex recipes. These led to the introduction of fajitas & Mexican cuisine to North America which gained immediate success.
If you're looking for a Houston Mexican restaurant, Ninfa's on Navigation is not only a local icon, having serviced politicians, celebrities & even visiting royalty, their Mexican food is unbeatable. Chef Alex Padilla uses only top quality ingredients, like Mama Ninfa herself did, & fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood like red snapper, jumbo shrimp & more.
Voted Best Margaritas, you can enjoy Ninfaritas on the outdoor deck, dine on the best Mexican dishes & fajitas around and truly enjoy the great restaurant experience.
Excellent service even though they were packed! The food was beyond delicious. I will be back.
Been here many times. The food this time was hit and miss. Husbands fajitas were fine. Chips were stale. Redfish was “fishy” and “off”. Our waiter was great. Very loud, as always. Just not a great experience this time
Love the ambiance and the food is always amazing. Kady did a great job serving us, even handling my old gift certificate! Love this restaurant
Excellent superbly prepared authentic Mexican food. Super friendly staff. Definitely repeat as soon as possible.
Nice comfy dinner
Food was good, wasn’t pleased with the service . He everything we asked our waiter for required asking 2/3 times which made it not as pleasant of a dinner . No complaints on the food .
It was nice and the food was very tasty! Quick service and a good time!
Nifta's is absolutely fantastic. This was my second time here. I was staying near Bush International and drove down and back. It was well worth drive and can't wait until my next time in Houston to return.
Excellent Service and food! Kim was our waitress and was great!
we were seated a in very badly located table. in the middle of a hallway with people constantly passing by. We made a reservation ahead of time and we were expecting a better service
I took my granddaughter and elderly parents early Saturday evening , Jan 11, 2020. The food and service was great . I deducted one whole star for the table . The table was too small for a party of four. We were constantly rearranging plates, eating utensils, glasses, etc. My 88 yr old Dad had no place for his margarita! 😂👍. Seriously, Ninfas, your table for four assumes someone didn’t show up for dinner, making it three, realistically. You can fix this, Ninfa’s ....
I’ve never been in a restaurant that was that loud. I could not carry on a conversation with my Wife at the small table for two. And it was elbow to elbow inside. Thanks but never again. Same ole Mexican food you can get anywhere else.
We have always loved Ninfas.Best Fajitas EVER! Service is usually top notch. This visit was not so good service-wise. May have been a crew chance??? We will definitely be back.
The food was just ok
Spectacular Food our fabulous server was so kind to make sure our food request were met for medical reasons, her great attention to detail and consideration made this dining experience perfect!
Amazing service! Everyone was so friendly and prompt
I can walk to el tiempo cantina. Ninfa’s is the same. Overhyped.
The beef fajitas were the best we’ve ever had!
Ninfa's food and margaritas are my absolute favorite Mexican food anywhere. My daughter and I shared the Mixta Ninfa for an early New Year's Eve celebration; it allowed us to have variety without pigging out. Everyone else got the fajita tacos, which are traditional Ninfa's and always the best.
It was Christmas Eve so the food and service might have been affected. The restaurant was not very full though service seemed slow and somewhat inattentive. Chicken fajitas were average while traditional TexMex items such as cheese enchiladas and crispy tacos were good.
Very friendly staff.
We have been going to Ninfas on Navigation for Christmas Eve for about 8 years, always leaving satisfied but this year (2019) was dramatically different. We waited over an hour to get our food and almost missed Christmas Eve service at our church. When I inquired about the delay several times , the waitress told us that they had had a bunch of to go orders which was causing the delay. In other words, ninfas prioritized people who called in orders today over a family that had long ago made reservations. Just say no at some point. The sweet waitress was very embarrassed. She said she talked to the manager about the extreme delay and he acknowledged it but he never came over to speak to me nor made any accommodation on our bill. I felt very disrespected
The BEST! Dined on Christmas Eve and as usual, we loved everything!
The best spinach enchiladas on the planet. Currently off menu. Please bring them back!
Delicious as always!
My wife and I stopped in our way to an event at the Toyota center. The food and service was awesome!!!
We were in a closed off patio & half way through dinner, the music was cranked up. Too loud.
Drinks were very good, service was very good as well - we were never hurried out the door.
Food was a bit overpriced.
Don’t skip Ninfa’s - absolutely amazing
Great atmosphere and outstanding food. Will definitely return next time I am in Houston.
The food and service never disappoint. True Houston institution.
Superb food and service.
Seated us on time, but table for 5 was very cramped. Food was good as always,
This place was in every guide I read about Houston that’s why our expectations very pretty high. But we were totally disappointed with our dinner. 1st of all the place smelled bad and we had to seat outside, cutlery were dirty with dried pieces of the food. The “legendary” fajita was more about onions than meat. I had much better fajitas in different restaurants before.
Cucumber margarita was awful, too sweet, not natural taste at all. We had to send it back, but the next drink (the Navigation margarita) wasn’t much better. We had just only 1 night in Houston and I’m really upset we chose Ninfa’s on Navigation for it...
Our waiter was especially helpful recommending choices for our group.
In town for a conference and asked around about the best Tex-Mex and the overwhelming response was The Original Ninfa’s. Food was GREAT. Place was packed and very loud, but well worth the amazing meal. We sooooo over bought and the portion sizes were as huge as they were delicious! Definitely a must eat In Houston.
This is our favorite restaurant , love everything and host many out of towners that fall in love with the place and Katie , our favorite waitress and friend
Very noisy. Had crying toddler on one side of us and a group of loud drunk people on the other side. Not pleasant.
We have been there when it was better. My wife and I were seated between a family with a screaming toddler and a table of obnoxious drunks. I will think twice before booking a reservation there again.
Ceviche was awesome!
We always get a couple appetizers and large fajitas when my Son and his wife visit. They love the original Ninfa’s
It was yummy as always
