Ninfa's on Navigation
Located on Navigation Boulevard just minutes from the heart of downtown Houston, the Original Ninfa's was all started with Mama Ninfa Laurenzo's creative TexMex recipes. These led to the introduction of fajitas & Mexican cuisine to North America which gained immediate success.
If you're looking for a Houston Mexican restaurant, Ninfa's on Navigation is not only a local icon, having serviced politicians, celebrities & even visiting royalty, their Mexican food is unbeatable. Chef Alex Padilla uses only top quality ingredients, like Mama Ninfa herself did, & fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood like red snapper, jumbo shrimp & more.
Voted Best Margaritas, you can enjoy Ninfaritas on the outdoor deck, dine on the best Mexican dishes & fajitas around and truly enjoy the great restaurant experience.
love that you can get shuttled to Minute Maid Park!
I've had good margaritas and fajitas here in the past and thought it would be fun to bring an out of town friend for Sunday brunch. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food was just blah. Ceviche was like rubber and breakfast tacos (egg and chorizo) were tasteless. There was almost no chorizo in the taco. Maybe I got someone else's order? Bloody Maria was also tasteless, watered down mix. Based on this experience I cannot recommend this restaurant and would not visit again.
Good food, good atmosphere & we had great service. Shuttle to game is a big plus also!
Location of table was in the traffic flow of servers and bus staff - crowded and uncomfortable
Night for Astros to play 5th game --so every thing crazy Food very good. Service was not
up to par but big crowd. But all good
Had to wait a very long time for the return trip to Ninfa's but lot of traffic.
Was told to go to wrong corner to catch van back to you. Need explicit info as to where
to go after the game!!! Had a handicap fellow and he was wheeled to new spot
but come back
Amazing service and exceptional food.
We met for brunch and it was delicious. I hadn't been and years and the menu, of course, has been updated and is top-notch. You MUST try the tres leches, if you like it. It is like a marshmallow-y, delicious cloud. It was perfect split between the 3 of us!
We go to Ninfa's on Navigation often before Astros games. This day was before the first ALDS game. They were very accommodating, opening early to seat folks instead of having to stand outside and they even took our orders slightly early. The had a beautiful party-type shuttle bus that held more folks than their usual Ninfa's bus. We're very grateful for all they do and the bonus is an exceptional place to eat. My 4 stars on food and value is because I'm old and I think eating out has gone out of sight. Of course, groceries are out of sight. And, considering parking in a lot is about $50, overall it's a bargain. So, don't hesitate to go here for a great meal and great ride to the Astros.
Love the shuttle to the Astros
Always great food and margaritas
Always great service with a smile
Out go-to in Houston.
As always good was fantastic!! Couldn’t recommend Ninfa’s more highly!!
Always a great experience. Excellent food, beverage and service. Great for casual celebrations, family dinners, Tex Mex fix anytime. Sunday nights are my favorite. Crowded on game days but worth it. Even better now that they take online reservations. Nice bar and patio are recent additions. Navigation is the one and only. Don’t mess around with the rest. Highly recommend! Ample parking, optional valet, gift cards around the holidays are also pluses. I have a sudden craving for margaritas and queso flameado...
Food taste great but portions were on smaller than usual. Staff is friendly attentive.
Unbelievable cheese enchiladas. Great frozen margaritas. Pricy!
What a wonderful, one of a kind, real deal restaurant!
Ninfa’s on Navigation is authentic Mexican at its best. The full house told that story.
I’m so glad we went with this recommendation from Jason
I love bringing out of town folks to Ninfa’s on Navigation! The food is consistently good, and it is a great way to give visitors a little sense of Houston’s history and culture. Came here tonight with a small group for a work dinner on the earlier side (5:30), which was ideal as the crowd and noise level definitely picked up toward the end of the meal. I always opt for the red fish tacos - the fish is flavorful and the fresh corn tortillas are the best. Others in our party ordered the seafood enchiladas, and the vegetarian was able to select from several entrees, which is especially nice at a Tex Mex place (she ordered enchiladas as well). All were pleased with their meals.
Great! Outdoor seating and service very nice! Loved the market across the street as well!
Ninfa's is always a great place to eat. Good service, Great Food!
Always a fun spot to meet family & friends!!! We will be back.
Wonderful food in a spacious but loud environment with sopapillas as dessert the topping off of a great meal !
Food wasn’t as good as it has been in the past
Normally we (4 of us) have delicious Tex_Mex and margaritas. For some reason I was in the mood for fajitas...and what better place than the birthplace of fajitas. Sadly.....the WORST beef fajitas I can remember. What wasn't fatty was gristle. And what was meat....was unflavored. VERY disappointing. We will continue to frequent Ninfa's on Navigation.......just not the fajitas.
The waitress was short-tempered and angry with us. Not sure why. I thought we were polite. When she brought the check, she was incredibly rude. She pointed at it and said “gratuity is NOT included!” I have no idea what made her think that we would not include a tip. I waited tables in college. Even if you are not a good waitress, I still leave a tip.
Ninfa’s is an experience. If you enjoy good Mexican food and good service, you’ll enjoy Ninfa’s. We always have impeccably prepared food (we’ve had some of the best octopus we’ve ever eaten at Ninfa’s), and the drinks are wonderful. We recommend Ninfa’s to all our friends.
Food was delicious. My wife had the fajita burger and loved it.
It is a classic, but can't hold a candle to Soto's Cantina
Great food, great service, manager gave us a history lesson on Ninfa’s, was very pleasant and then gave us a free appetizer!
We always enjoy going to Ninfas when we are in Houston. The food is always delicious!
Wonderful as always!
Very lively atmosphere, always good food, great chips and dip, and awesome margaritas!
Quest was cold....
Ninfa’s is always a fun experience. Food and drink are spot-on, and servers are attentive. Already planning another visit!
It seems over the last few years the food is not as good as it used to bee
Had out of town visitors and this was the first place we stopped! Have to bring them here for their first meal of fajitas! They loved it! (no surprise!)
It wasn't what I was expecting on their food. We went the first time and the wait was one hour and a half. So then we left and next time we went we made a reservation, but the family food was not what I expected.
As usual, the best fajitas in town! Also love the queso, red sauce and chips! This was before the Rolling Stones concert - a margarita to get ready for Mick!
Very good service and food. So noisy we could not talk.
We had steak fajitas and shrimp Diablo. Both were excellent. Service was outstanding. And we ate outside on a rare comfortable night for Houston. The street festival and music was a big plus!
