Ninfa's on Navigation
Located on Navigation Boulevard just minutes from the heart of downtown Houston, the Original Ninfa's was all started with Mama Ninfa Laurenzo's creative TexMex recipes. These led to the introduction of fajitas & Mexican cuisine to North America which gained immediate success.
If you're looking for a Houston Mexican restaurant, Ninfa's on Navigation is not only a local icon, having serviced politicians, celebrities & even visiting royalty, their Mexican food is unbeatable. Chef Alex Padilla uses only top quality ingredients, like Mama Ninfa herself did, & fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood like red snapper, jumbo shrimp & more.
Voted Best Margaritas, you can enjoy Ninfaritas on the outdoor deck, dine on the best Mexican dishes & fajitas around and truly enjoy the great restaurant experience.
Ninfa’s on Navigation is a TexMex machine producing mediocre food at best. Personality and charm have been gone for a while and I only returned for the first time in three years because I heard the food was better. Not the case - I was disappointed and will take this restaurant off my list. Lots of fond memories of the place that was.
Food and service is great. If you don’t do well surrounded by busy chaos when waiting for your table, this restaurant may not be for you. Otherwise great!
Excellent food. Very loud and noisy however. We were there for Saturday lunch so our grandson was able to have brunch. The chips and salsa were excellent. You can watch them making tortillas by front door. I had chicken flair as and my husband had carnitas enchiladas. We will be back!
Always solid, very enjoyable
Ninfa’s never disappoints!
Table for two in back room, literally squashed against opening door on one side, wall on another and jammed against table next to us. Had to climb over a chair to get to a chair. Finally moved to a more comfortable table. Original table should have been removed completely. There was not enough room for that table. Also, chips were stale but food was good as always.
Haven't been to Ninfa's in so many years. The food was delicious and everyone was so hospitable. Glad we went and will go again next time we are in the area.
It's been too long since I ate at Ninfa's - and I won't let it go that long again! Best fajitas in town and love the red salsa! Skipped the queso this time, but that's also a favorite.
Brunch menu has plenty of variety and original dishes. The migas with green chiles were soggy and the huevos rancheros did not have enough eggs. The corn masa waffle tasted more like a churro and not what was expected. The posole and breakfast tacos were excellent.
he food was delicious, the setting was lovely, and the atmosphere was fun!
NEVER sit on the patio. Huge trucks rumble by justvfeet from your table. The food was outstanding but entrees without extras averaging over $20 it’s a little pricey for lunch.
very good service but it is hard to define what it was to make us think that it wasn't as good as it used to be
We had a really delicious dinner! Wonderfully attentive service. Would go again if in Houston
This never disappoints!
disappointed that no shutter to toyota center could get live person to ask that question. i vzlet park and when i came back to pick up care the person ask for bigger tip very disappointed at that we will come back
It’s a classic. Friendly staff, great food, fun vibe. Always a treat to take non Texans to this Houston institution!
The food was excellent. The portion size was filling but not excessive. Our server was great, and very very fast. This was impressive, and welcome since we were hungry, but I did kind of expect to have a slightly longer dinner. It wasn't quite rushed but almost.
My date and I enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious. I put a special request for a table for two with a window. They were able accommodate my request. Stephen was our waiter, he was outstanding ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ service. We’ll be return and make this one of our regulars.
Food was good. However chips were not warm and tasted greasy. Everything else was delicious. Waitress was not attentive and we had to ask for somethings multiple times.
We have always considered The Original Ninfa’s on Navigation as Houston’s best Mexican food. This visit fell something short of that. It was very good, and we will return again. But, this particular meal wasn’t the best Mexican food in Houston. We have at least two restaurants in the Woodlands that are at least as good... without the 30 mile drive.
We started with the ceviche which was delicious and a very good sized serving. We then ordered the medium beef fajitas and it was enough for both me and my boyfriend to get full on. We enjoyed the food, margaritas and the beautiful weather on the patio. Overall, a very enjoyable experience
Excellent service even though they were packed! The food was beyond delicious. I will be back.
Been here many times. The food this time was hit and miss. Husbands fajitas were fine. Chips were stale. Redfish was “fishy” and “off”. Our waiter was great. Very loud, as always. Just not a great experience this time
Love the ambiance and the food is always amazing. Kady did a great job serving us, even handling my old gift certificate! Love this restaurant
Excellent superbly prepared authentic Mexican food. Super friendly staff. Definitely repeat as soon as possible.
Nice comfy dinner
Food was good, wasn’t pleased with the service . He everything we asked our waiter for required asking 2/3 times which made it not as pleasant of a dinner . No complaints on the food .
It was nice and the food was very tasty! Quick service and a good time!
Nifta's is absolutely fantastic. This was my second time here. I was staying near Bush International and drove down and back. It was well worth drive and can't wait until my next time in Houston to return.
Excellent Service and food! Kim was our waitress and was great!
we were seated a in very badly located table. in the middle of a hallway with people constantly passing by. We made a reservation ahead of time and we were expecting a better service
I took my granddaughter and elderly parents early Saturday evening , Jan 11, 2020. The food and service was great . I deducted one whole star for the table . The table was too small for a party of four. We were constantly rearranging plates, eating utensils, glasses, etc. My 88 yr old Dad had no place for his margarita! 😂👍. Seriously, Ninfas, your table for four assumes someone didn’t show up for dinner, making it three, realistically. You can fix this, Ninfa’s ....
I’ve never been in a restaurant that was that loud. I could not carry on a conversation with my Wife at the small table for two. And it was elbow to elbow inside. Thanks but never again. Same ole Mexican food you can get anywhere else.
We have always loved Ninfas.Best Fajitas EVER! Service is usually top notch. This visit was not so good service-wise. May have been a crew chance??? We will definitely be back.
The food was just ok
Spectacular Food our fabulous server was so kind to make sure our food request were met for medical reasons, her great attention to detail and consideration made this dining experience perfect!
Amazing service! Everyone was so friendly and prompt
I can walk to el tiempo cantina. Ninfa’s is the same. Overhyped.
The beef fajitas were the best we’ve ever had!
