Met long the friends for a slow enjoyable visit here. We settled on delicious salads and had a great time catching up. The service is friendly and helpful. Great parking available.
Kendra Glenn, singer, was there.
She is terrific, and I follow her to places like your restaurant.
60th birthday brunch. The staff was over the top good to us! Great food and great setting!
Went for an early dinner, ended up ordering a bunch of appetizers. Turned out to be a really nice tapas style meal. Service was solid, we ate pretty much everything. Brussel sprouts were outstanding, mussels were a 5/10, everything else was very good.
this is our second attempt at brunch here, and it was mediocre. both times there were issues with our orders (ex: asking for sauce on the side but needing the sandwich to be remade because it came with sauce, or asking for no eggs but then having the dish arrive with eggs) which is frustrating. the first time, our entrees came out before our appetizer did, and add ons (like the smoked trout) were brought out when we were almost finished. this last time neither of our dishes came with the sauces/garnishes they were supposed to have. my husband had a benedict with no hollandaise sauce, and my meal was to have chimichurri and nuts, but came without. again, our appetizer arrived at almost the same time as our entrees, which defeats the purpose of spacing out the meal so you can enjoy it when its hot and at its best. the ambience is great, and the manager/host is always friendly and helpful. however in the future, we'll probably skip brunch and stick to drinks and appetizers at the bar.
Excellent location, easy to have a conversation due to lower sound levels. Great staff and food
The daily happy hour is SUCH a selling point! It was great to have such an amazing selection of food and drink for happy hour, even on the weekend! Their birthday surprise was great! Our choice of either champagne with fruit or dessert! We chose the champagne. PICK THE CAULIFLOWER! It was delicious! Would definitely go again.
First visit and bit of a mixed bag. Nice place, very good service, comfortable booth with lots of room. We were waited on promptly and water was almost always full from attentive staff. We were not told of any specials so assumed there were none. We had the Beef Tenderloin and it was superb, albeit quite small. Perfect temperature and flavor was outstanding. We also had the Fried Chicken which had an incredible amount of hard breading around it, like a shell. The breading did not have a lot of flavor but once you chop that off the chicken had very good flavor. The potatoes and coleslaw were excellent. Overall value is not there for these summer time prices.
Great Happy Hour!
Ate brunch on a Sunday morning here with a few friends. They charge $5 for a side of toast which is ridiculous when my entire breakfast (toast included) cost $10. Also, the vegetable hash is not aptly named as it includes no hash browns or any kind. That is misleading.
I went for lunch but I was hoping to have a dinner entree. To me their dinner menu appeals
More to my liking but it still was good.
Walleye sandwich was good loved the light tempura batter. The ketchup tasted homemade and had a kick to the fries.
Only downfall was the meat was a little tough on steak tacos. Chewy.
I would come back though and have dinner.
Server was great. Lake street cocktail was yummy
Ninetwentyfive’s food was good, but the service was terrible. I made a reservation, but still had to wait 15 minutes past my reservation time for my table. My waiter was unfriendly, mumbled, and rushed us at the end to leave.
Went for Sunday brunch. Food was good but service was extremely slow, took 20 minutes to get coffee and 1 hour 15 minutes before food arrived. Wasn’t the server’s fault as he had too many tables to cover. Unfortunately this has happened to us before at this restaurant.
Service was off on this visit. Our wait staff seemed to be struggling with trying to keep orders straight and timing. We sat for at least 10 minutes before we could order drinks. Also, we asked for an appetizer to arrive before our meal and it came at the same time as our meal. Food was good, but the fish tacos didn’t have a lot of fish in them two tiny pieces—mostly vegetables.
Enjoyed a nice dinner. We had a lovely time.
Nice setting, great service.
Food was very good.
A great place to meet some friends and have a good meal.
Really enjoyed the evening. Excellent server. Liked the menu. Everything was timely. Loved that we could park underground and walk right into the restaurant. Will definitely come back again.
Great server friendly and just the right amount of attention
I inquired about a specific moscato wine I have ordered here in the past. The server said it’s only available by the bottle. I asked whether a specific Riesling wine was dry, semi-dry or semi-sweet. The server told me how to read a wine menu from light to full-bodied and that the chardonnays were both oaked. However, the server never answered the question as to whether the Riesling was dry. So I asked again if there was a wine on the menu that was not dry or semi-dry. The Pinot was suggested, and a sample was offered. Instead the sever brought two other wine samples, so I chose one of them. However, the glass I was served was the original wine the server suggested, which I did not enjoy. At no time did the server ask if I liked it, but did ask whether I wanted a second shortly after it was delivered. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice. We will return, but the wine service leaves something to be desired.
Brunch was fabulous as always and the service was wonderful.
Staff were very accommodating when 1/2 of our party arrived early. The food was top notch. The only reason we marked noise at a high level was a small child seated close to us who was ver bored at a table full of adults :). All in all a wonderful evening.
Wine selection was amazing. The grouper was excellent. The setting was wonderful. Our waiter treated our group to the pumpkin cheese cake. That was amazing!
The servers were excellent!!
Staff are very attentive and friendly! Food quality and cost were excellent. The singer music was a bit too loud. Somewhat difficult to hear other guests.
Overall, very good experience!
The squash soup was amazing. I do not recommend the BLT. The bread was plain wheat toast, from a very small loaf. The lettuce was very wilted and tomatoes tasteless. My friend had the asparagus omelette and it was excellent.
Overall the food was good(I had an Asian bowl dish with chicken thighs that was excellent) and service was good but the restaurant was too quiet for a group of 6. I had 2 friends that thought their protein portions for the price were way off- only 3 small shrimp in a salad and only 3 scallops total in an entree. For the prices, I agree. Many times we felt like we were disturbing others just by talking and laughing. Maybe if they played some background music or something it would help? The restaurant was pretty empty for a Saturday night which is always worrisome. I would go again with my husband or a girlfriend but probably not with a larger party.
They handled our table of 8 very well
I don't see much change in the menu - needs a refresh! Overall - good food/great service.
We had a great NYE dinner at 925. The food was fabulous and our server was really good.
The service was great but the quality of food was awful. It came out cold.
Staff very accommodating as our party kept growing. Food very good but disappointed in the waffles (seemed like something out of the freezer) . The BLT was extremely good as was the soup. Loved our server
We had fish and scallops off the menu and those was actually quite nice and well prepared. But the service was indifferent, and the ambience was more deserted diner than a quality restaurant. A fairly expensive evening for a very average meal.
Was Christmas dinner, not brunch. Had been alerted there was a limited menu....not that there were no entrees available. Server was very poorly trained..she arrived at our table loaded with dirty dishes and said what do you want to drink , not giving time for an adequate scan of drink menus. I said to come back after you deposit the dirty dishes. She then hurried us through everything. The experience was disappointing and not worth $87 for a fair hamburger, spaghetti, and 2 glasses of $11 wine. Sorry..I will never go back.
We dined at ninetwentyfive on Christmas Eve. It was our first visit so we were unaware that the restaurant was two levels. The only dinner option that evening was a buffet (we knew this ahead of time), and unfortunately we were seated on the upper level which meant we had to go up and down the stairs several times during dinner. This was unfortunate and had we known this ahead of time we would have dined elsewhere. The buffet options were good and presented nicely, however the entree selections were (at best) room temp. The rest of the food was fairly good. We’ll give them another try when we can order off a menu; they also may want to consider a limited menu vs buffet option for holidays in the future.
We attended the Christmas Eve buffet. It was one of the most impressive buffets I’ve enjoyed. A very nice collection of cheeses, charcuterie, smoked fish, salads, breads from which to choose. Main courses of ham, prime rib, NY strip and pheasant pie were well prepared. The only complaint would be that the pheasant pie could have been warmer. The desserts were numerous and nicely displayed in the bar/dining area. The first two courses were located in another room so not to interfere with any diners. It was well done. We’ll return next Christmas Eve.
It was perfect for Christmas Eve. Beautiful, comfortable and lovely. The only thing that wasn’t great was the desserts. They looked beautiful but none of what we had was really delicious.
The evening with friends we had not seen for over a year was ruined by our waitress Kate. I assume her name was Kate as she never introduced herself, so I went by her name on our bill. Her attitude towards us and her staff ruined the ambience of our dinner. The biggest gripe with her service was after we all had finished our dinners and while having coffee, we asked her to please clear the table of our dinner plates. She told us that was not her job and she would have someone do it. Our table was never cleared.
I have had the opportunity to eat here a few times, where I had the chance to meet the chef Daniel Cataldo. When I asked if I could speak to him, I learned that he no longer works there. I had to ask 3 different people the name of the chef, before someone thought it was Sam. I’m not sure there is a head chef.
Despite the poor service, I want you to know that the food was very good. I will return, especially for brunch.
Our server was very pleasant and attentive but she had to run back and forth as many of the items offered on the bar menu were out of stock. Felt bad for her. By the third tequila choice we got one that was actually there.
The prices didn’t fit the food. I’m not afraid to pay for excellent food, but the filet was small and not great but the price was around $50.
Have no plan to return even though the place has a charming setting.
Dinner with the family before a show. Expensive ($20 glass of wine? Burger for $18 and entrees well over $30?). For lower prices it would have been fine... just to really not worth the price, even in lakeside Wayzata.
King Baron's music was fantastic accompaniment to our meal. This is the third time we've come to hear them at 925 and appreciate delicious food, great service while listen to these musicians. Thanks for a lovely evening.
This was my first time at ninetwentyfive, so I would be open to giving it another chance. We arrived on the tail end of Sunday brunch. They had run out of english muffins, so could not make eggs benedict. The beignets were very, very dense - not the best. Also, the service was INCREDIBLY slow; even though it wasn't very busy. It took at least 45 minutes to get our check, and we had to finally ask for it. I like the ambiance, so hopefully the next time will be a better experience.
