   Over hyped and over priced. We ignored less than favourable critiques from friends and decided to make up our own mind. Underwhelming experience. Oysters good, rock lobster bolognese tasteless and little hint of lobster,grilled patiogonian tootfishnot ok but rest of plate poor, steamed coral trout dry. Fifty fifty mash runny like soup and tomato ricotta salad without much ricotta was ridiculous. Desert choice limited and not inspiring. We dined late and was noisy. Restaurant had a chance to make a mark but has failed miserably with limited and poor menu. To make matters worse as we tried to make an exit from the 19th floor we waited for three lifts so as to avoid the drunken swearing behaviour of customers coming out of the night club. No security stepped in to check. As it was when we did get a lift we had to endure an expletive laden critique of how boring the nightclub was from some obviously unimpressed customers. My concern with this review is that the PR machine will bury it under an avalanche of ghosted reviews rather than address the obvious problems.

   Soooo overrated, service staff was totally uninterested in our presence, food was cheaply presented, a $240 dollars steak came on a plain brown plate nothing else: potato purée was optional so were the greens. No tablecloth, no sommelier in sight and the restaurant made us wait as staff was not in place but “hanging around “ despite opening time was already past. A very disappointing experience, not to be repeated!

   pretentious but underwhelming.food was good but expensive and not value for money.mains came with nothing other than the main ingredient eg fillet steak.choice of sides was very limited.the only choice of potatoes as mash.wine list was extensive but also expensive.

   Incredible ! Great tentative and friendly staff from entry, to bar seating and while dining. Could not fault a single thing and was a perfect night. Highly recommend Nineteen. The oysters and the accompanying vinaigrette in Ruinart champagne was the best I have tasted. Caviar a great taster to experience and lobster pasta as tasty as it gets for a shared starter. Great atmosphere and loved the layout of the open kitchen and attention to detail of the wait staff. The patagonian tooth fish main was like eating a giant buttery clam, so delicious and something you could O.D. on. The prime rare on rare steak with condiments exceptional and as tasty and well cooked as a steak can be. To top it off the tasmanian pinot Joseph Chromy that was recommended by the waiter is a new favourite and picked a winner. This was an unexpected booking but so glad to have tried cause I have been recommending the quality of service and food to friends since and really hard to top such a great night. Credit to the chef and staff for a solid 10/10 experience.
