NINETEEN at Awbrey Glen
My party of six really enjoyed breakfast on the deck. The food was delicious, the service professional and the view lovely. We will be back!
We chose Awbrey Glen because we knew it would be much quieter than the average restaurant. In other places the noise level is so high you can't hear the person across the table. The food was good, but my salad was minuscule. The online Happy Hour menu doesn't match what's available in the actual restaurant. In fact, the waiter/server didn't even seem to know that there was a Happy Hour menu or even that there was a Happy Hour on Sunday. When they brought what was supposed to be that menu, I'm sure it wasn't. There was nothing at a discounted price.
We waited forever to have someone seat us, and then another long time before someone came to take our order. The waiter who seated us said he would be back to take the order, but since he never came we flagged down another waitress who was prompt and courteous.
We made a reservation for fathers day at 6PM as identified on open table. The restaurant staff said there was not manager to translate the reservation and they were closing at 6pm. Someone better get something straight...
Service was very slow, even though our waiter was very nice. Got the impression that he was not only the bartender but also the cook! Probably not, but by the way he said something it just felt that way. The Long Island Iced Tea tasted like lemonade and very tart. Was not a LI Tea, and I should have returned it. Salads took forever to arrive, and the chicken was forgotten on the Cobb salad. We were half finished by the time the very dry, overcooked chicken was delivered. Salad was good and the blue cheese dressing was great. There was an accommodation for my dad to have a different dressing and no blue cheese on the plate. Overall, this was just a fair experience, not what I expected from a classy golfing community restaurant.
We decided to go to Awbrey Glen for lunch on a nice sunny day instead of our dinner visits. We sat outside on the patio deck with the golf course view. My wife ordered the power greens salad and I had the club sandwich. Both were excellent. We had iced tea with our lunch. A great location for a summer lunch.
Hello, I only had a soup for lunch, and it was too salty, and the orzo was mushy. Wasn't the best tasting soup.
It was outstanding, as always. Our group loves coming to 19 for lunch, usually every other Thursday!
Our group of 6 met for an early dinner at Awbrey Glen. Service was quick and accurate. The server came back to check that orders were accurate, which they were. We were early enough that we ordered our wine and beers on the Happy Hour menu. They were good quality, and not the "cheap stuff" many restaurants have taken to serving for happy hour. Interestingly, everyone in our group ordered one of the meal salads, and we were all very happy with our meals. The servings were large enough that I took my Cobb Salad leftovers home and had 2 more lunches from them. Check them out!
Our group loves to come to the restaurant for lunch after our bi-monthly meetings. The service is great, the food is excellent and the price is reasonable. Plus the dining room, with all the windows and the light that comes in, is very pleasant. Also your waitresses know how to deal with individual checks quite efficiently! Love it!
Excellent food, and good value. Service was a bit slow. We were not in a hurry, but still felt unattended.
We chose Nineteen because we wanted a nice dinner spot for family without too much noise. Everything turned out great. Our table was ready, food was great, and prices reasonable. We recommend.
Always consistent, great food, beautiful setting, wonderful service. Never disappointed.
We went to the golf course for lunch and sat out on the rear deck on a very nice day. My wife ordered the quiche and I ordered the wedge salad w/bacon & blue cheese and the bean soup of the day. All were really good. Our server, Chase was very attentive. A good day.
lovely place to watch the mountains on a hot day. very good service. food was abit above average
While we have had very good experiences at Nineteen for brunch, the dinner experience was just okay. The food is old-school heavy on fat, relying overmuch on butter, cheese, and left us all overwhelmed and disinterested. Disappointing. And the dessert trio was really poor. Uncreative.
The service was ridiculously poor! The staff is young and clearly trying hard, but some training as to how to provide good table service during what at least wants to be a higher-end dining experience is necessary.
Excellent salad bar for lunch. Lots of free items including a good soup.
Am sorry to say is the second below average meal I’ve had here in the last few weeks. First was St. Patrick’s day when I opted for fried shrimp instead of the featured corn beef. Shrimp were severely overdone. The second time I did select the featured special of clams and pasta thinking last time the kitchen wasn’t really prepared to serve much other than special. The picture of clams and pasta showed fresh clams in their shells while I received what appeared to be chopped clams from a can served with lukewarm pasta. Not what I expected!
The Fried green tomato egg benedict special was TINY !
Awbrey Glen is always a good place for a lunch meeting. The food is very good and consistently well prepared. Service is good and the view is incredible.
Food was good. Service was very poor and it was not busy.
We went to 19 for my wife's birthday. I asked for a quiet table because of being hard of hearing. The request was ignored. They asked if this was a special occasion. I told them it was my wife's birthday. Ignored. My wife ordered the sea scallops which were nice but nothing special. I ordered the Osso Bucco style short ribs which was served on top of mashed potatoes with some brussel sprouts on the plate which were a little too crunchy for my taste and had little flavor. The food was good but nothing special to my way of thinking.
This was a regular business lunch venue and everyone’s favorite was the Cobb salad. We were surprised when it is no longer available. The changes in the menu just won’t work for us.
Great place for lunch or dinner. Deck is beautiful, service is very good, and excellent food. Love the Cobb salad. Prices compare with other similar restaurants.
Terrific service and great assortment/variety of menu options. It's hard to beat the views of the mountains and golf course too!
Service was friendly but food plates looks and quantity of fried chicken was totally inadequate.
Veal Marsala enter well prepared with excellent Marsala sauce. Filet great with mushroom topping. Osso bucco well prepared.
The food we ordered was well prepared and presented, but I was disappointed with the limited number of appetizers and entrée selections. Nice atmosphere, prestigious location.
Very slow service despite only a few other tables with diners. Server seemed unhappy that we wanted alcoholic beverages and was obviously annoyed when we wanted dessert. She seemed very reluctant to wait on our table even though we had informed her it was a special occasion.
Normally, this is a very good restaurant. But this time we had reservations made well in advance for 4. The restaurant did not notify us that the dining room was booked for another private party. When we arrived, we were seated next to the bar counter. VERY noisy and QUITE unexpected. Food was so-so. They need to communicate to reservation holders.
Third time for breakfast. 1st was in January lbeleve and was bad Juevos rancheros inedible. Service poor. 2nd was in April. Red flannel hash good and service as well. This time food was very good to excellent. Tofu veg hash excellent ad was the regular hash. Service top notch. I'd say the chef coming from the Heathman has done bang up job with the kitchen. Will be our regular Sunday brunch place. Have always enjoyed the Heathman in past. Now is terrible under new management
As summer approaches and the weather cooperates, al fresco dining is in high demand. This restaurant offers a beautiful patio view of the golf course. Very pleasant and relaxing lunch spot
Very good lunches; service is very good; perfect view. Specials are good.
We arrived late (7pm) and were the last table to be serviced so it was slower than normal. We'll be earlier next time.
The dishes all were excellent except for the pork osso bucco which was prepared well but somewhat bland. The veal marsala was outstanding.
Went on a Thursday again to take advantage of no corkage fees.
Still one of our favorites.
Our second visit and it was just as good as the first. We will become regulars.
(No corkage fees on Thursday's is an added bonus)
A pleasant dining experience in a club atmosphere. Simple food well prepared. Generous portions. Value for the price and quality. Friendly service.
We took my wife's aunt and uncle (both in their 90's) who were visiting from Houston. Ease of access was great and the noise level allowed us to carry on a conversation. We all ordered the leg of lamb...but the waitress came back and explained that they only had 3 servings left, so I changed my order. The service was very good. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our meal. We would recommend Nineteen to our friends.
Nineteen at Awbrey Glen is always fantastic. This is our go-to spot for breakfast/brunch on Sunday mornings. The food is outstanding, the view wonderful and the ambience is conducive to quiet conversations around the table.
The food was good. The waitress was great! We had a nice evening.
The food and staff at the Nineteenth are fantastic. Many people don't realize this is a public restaurant and therefore it's often quiet despite amazing food and service. Outdoor patio has great views and the care staff take to service is some of the best in Bend.
Had brunch here. Was nice. Not overly fancy or expensive, but nice portions and view from the restaurant.
