   To put it simply this place had great food, our waiter had all charm,personality and knowledge you can want, and we won at the casino! This dinning experience took our already awesome time at the casino to a new level!

   For the first time I was a tad disappointed in the filet, it was not as tender as usual. I did not say anything to our waiter, in hindsight I should have said something. This little glitch will not stop me from enjoying this restaurant.

   We were truly impressed with the service and food. The idea of being in the middle of a casino and not hearing anything while eating was amazing. We would truly come back for this great dining experience. Yes, the prices were higher than a usual dining out but we felt it was worth it. I was a little disappointed that there was no moscato wine available.

   Great food and great service. Amy, our server, made our whole evening fantastic with her great humor and attentive service. We were celebrating a birthday and our anniversary and she made us feel so welcomed. Would definitely recommend for any special occasion dining.

    Delicious food and great wine, what more could one ask for from a restaurant. The attention to detail is top notch. The entire staff, from the hostess, to my favorite waiter Ken, every aspect of the service is always handled perfectly and always with a smile. Helpfulness is second nature for the entire staff at this restaurant.

    Have been here many times before. Brought a new couple here to my favorite place for fine dining. Their first time dining here. The waiter, the food, the ambiance, the service.... it was all STELLAR! My friends were Totally impressed, they commented the place was 1,000% better then other places they have dined at. I agree! Still my favorite place, and will always be. My friends now can't wait till they can bring other friends and family here to dine. Keep up the great work!!! ❤️

    We absolutely loved our waiter! This was our first time, and the food was phenomenal! The oysters were amazing and fresh! The booths moved very easily when getting in and out which felt cheap and weird and the dirty plates and crumbs stayed on our table a little long, but overall a great experience!

    We were a little disappointed in the filets. I think we are a bit spoiled because our Alberta beef is over the top delish. The waiter was good and very attentive and we enjoyed the ambience. It was a birthday celebration and the Creme Brulè Cheesecake was outstanding!!

    Food was fine. Our stakes were cooked as ordered and nothing was cold. However, the service was far from great. It started with the hostess sitting us 30minutes after our booked reservation. It then took 40 minutes for us to get our drink order as the restaurant sat at around 75% capacity. We were halfway done with our appetizer before getting our drinks. I had to ask for water refills several times and plates were handed to us when they arrived - instead of being placed in front of us. This is fine for Applebees, but not nearly good enough for a steakhouse with a $300 final bill. And don’t bother paying for the steak toppers/sauces. It’s basically just gravy.

    I had a horrible experience my boyfriend at the 1986 Steakhouse on Saturday 2/18. We were late to be seated for our reservation, after waiting for our order to be taken, our drinks were brought to the wrong table. We waited 45 minutes for our salad. We waited another two hours for our waitress to tell us that our entrees were given to the wrong table and that they would have to remake our order. It took another 30 minutes to get our food and nothing was done in the way of compensation for our time and the service mishap that occurred. We waited for a total of about 3 hours for subpar food that was not up to expectations laid out by a fine dining restaurant. We reached out to management afterwards and had no response or apology for the terrible service. Will not be going back.

    Disappointing for an upscale restaurant that ended up being over $100 per person. Had reservations and arrived 10 minutes before our reservation, was told that they were 30 minutes behind so we waited. After ordering the Table side Caesar salad the waiter told us they weren't doing that today and it would be made in the back, big disappointment. Our meals came out minus our al carte side dish, asked twice about it and ended up coming out 15 minutes after our meals. Ordered the butter cake for dessert and it came out with chocolate syrup on it which there was no mention of on the menu. We left more than half of it. This is not an upscale steak house. If you are going to the casino stop at Flemings beforehand. Not anywhere near the $250 bill for my wife and I.

    Had a 6:45 pm reservation for 2, but unfortunately my girlfriend had to stay late at work. Instead of cancelling at the last minute, my girlfriend suggested that I go alone and then report back to her if we should go again (neither of us had ever dined at 1986). I arrived a few minutes before the reservation and informed the hostess that I would be dining alone. She indicated that since their dining room does not have any 2 tops, I might be more comfortable dining at the bar. I said ok. As such, I did not get a chance to experience the ambiance of the dining room. However, I was still seated at a 4 top in the bar area. When I ordered, I ordered the wedge salad, 22 ox bone in rib eye (medium rare), and a loaded baked potato. The waitress did not have an Ipod or even a written pad to record my order. A bit later, my salad and drink arrived. They were fine. After I finished my salad, my steak arrived. As there wasn't the loaded bake potato with it, I asked. I was told that they would check on it. I decided to start on steak as I didn't want it to get cold. It was cooked medium rather than medium rare, but as no one checked back as to how the steak was, I decided just to keep eating. Finally the server returned when I was almost done with the steak and she admitted she did not enter the baked potato when she put my order in. She said that since it would take a while for a baked potato, she asked if I wanted to order a different side, mashed potatoes, corn, etc. As I was almost done with my steak, I said no as I didn't want to eat a side dish by itself. No offer of, hey we messed up your order, how about a free desert. Didn't seem like it was a big deal to them.

    The food was band. Not a lot of flavor and we don’t use A1 for steaks when we go out and my wife would have with this one. My lamb was charred and was not very flavorful either. For the price I expected to eat something my mouth watered over. $45 for a small crab leg is crazy. But lesson learned.

    Ate there on Vallentine's Day. Service was wonderful (ask for Amy), and the food was as good as any other restaurant we have been to in Phoenix. Atmosphere was pleasant and not reflective of the casino noise. Bone-in rib eye, NY strip, steak and lobster and salmon were all just right. Can highly recommend.

    It was old decor, food was undercooked or not good. Paid 800 for 4 ppl. Would expect better food. Banana foster taste of straight alcohol. Barely ate anything took it home only to throw away. Should have know when you go into a steak house and more than half the place I’d empty on a Saturday.

    We had to wait a few mins even though we had a reservation and the place was empty. Then we waited about 20 mins for bread, 2 cokes and a cocktail, another 30 mins for “cold appetizers” and over an hour, with empty drinks, for our entrees which when they finally came out were cold. We asked for a manager twice but only saw her once when we got our cold entrees and she was like “what do you want me to do?”…. Although she did take all 3 entrees off our bill after we requested it. Our waiter came by our table a total of 4 times the entire time we were there which was just under 2 hours. Everyone feels sick this morning from the appetizers. Which is all we ate. Worst experience ever. Better service at your local teenage run Taco Bell. Do not eat here!

    Had the Thursday special. It was fair. Steak was oddly shaped like a pyramid. Drinks were good. Service was less than adequate. Appetizer arrived less than 5 minutes before the entree. Gave the wrong entrees to us. Bill came before the dessert.

    It was a fantastic meal and our server Ken was absolutely amazing. We will definitely come back and request his section. The food was outstanding. We had the colossal shrimp appetizer which is fun because it comes to your table with dry ice so you get the smoking effect. We ordered steak and lobster, lobster bisque and shared a couple of salads, both the wedge (yum) and the mixed green salad (excellent). You have to save room for dessert. The chocolate decadence is just that and you really should order it!
